Giovanna was a wonderful host, and welcomed us into her home with a smile and warmth. We learned a lot about the art and science of making pasta and tiramisu, and got to enjoy the fruits of our labor. It was even more special because it was just the two of us. We would recommend this host and the experience to anyone who wants to get a real taste of an Italian home and cooking

Excellent experience. Upon arrival at my host's lovely home, I was surprised to find I was the only student. I had exoected to be in a class of 4 or 5, not a one to one. She showed me how yo kake three dishes,vand everything seemed somple because of her wer orepared teaching method. She soeaks goodEnglish, hut she eas kind enough to allow je to speak in my ( limited) Italian. I then was served , with wine, the meal we had prepared yogether. After, she recommended a number of shoos and restaurants in the area. Overall, an excellent evening 🙂

It was both fun and delicious! Local ingredients and regional wine made it especially delightful. Would definitely recommend.

We didn’t know what to expect but ended up being greated by great hosts and enjoyed the experience from begining to end. We learned a lot and laughed a lot! Highly recommend and we will definately do it again!!!

Was a cruise ship stopping in Trieste, so beforehand went on-line and booked this experience through Trip Advisor. Only in port for one day, so we built our entire visit around this booking. When we showed up at the house at appointed time, no one was there and the door was locked. After waiting 15minutes frantically I called the event host, only to be told it was a national holiday and no classes would be held. BUMMER! Without any other tours planned (again, we built our entire day around this booking), we wandered around town for a few hours before returning to the ship. After calling Viator we were refunded 100% of our prepaid fee -- BUT HOW CAN A TOUR OPERATOR MAKE A BOOKING ON A NATIONALHOLIDAY WHEN EVERYTHING IS CLOSED ?!?!

We had the most wonderful time with our hosts. We learned the tiramisu and pasta recipes which we then enjoyed with our group. We enjoyed the various prosecco and wines included with this experience. Our hosts felt that using a translation app would help, and it turned into a great time to get the work and history background of our hosts which enhanced our experience and made this a truly fun learning experience. We were so happy to have had this wonderful time to be in a home and learn the art of Italian preparation and cooking and meal experience. Our group of six would highly recommend this dinner experience. Thank you! A

It was a perfect summers evening, with a lovely host couple from the Trieste region, who greeted us warmly and welcomed us into their beautiful home for a night of learning and laughter. We made some "divino" trout filled pasta served with shrimp and guitar spaghetti with a tomato sauce. It was also lovely to learn how to make tiramisu. I highly recommend booking this, as it was a night we won't forget. We also left with lots of recommendations about shops, delis, ice-cream and coffee.

Der Empfang bei Giovanni war herzlich und alles war gut organisiert und vorbereitet. Die Vorführung war gut und es hat sehr große Freude gemacht. Es wurde viel gezeigt und (nur) einige wenige Handgriffe konnte man selbst machen. Die Kommunikation (Englisch) fand über den Translator statt. Das fand ich nicht so gut/ persönlich. Aber es funktionierte. Dabei konnte man aber trotzdem viel für die Zubereitung von Tiramisu und Pasta einiges lernen. Giovanni machte das alles mit viel Leidenschaft zu seinem Hobby! Danke!

Wenn man nach Italien reist, gehört einfach ein Besuch in eine echte italienische Küche dazu. Wir haben das richtige italienische Handwerk gelernt, mit Zubereitung von Pasta (Spaghetti und Ravioli) und der typischen Nachspeise Tiramisu. Die zwei Gastgeber waren sehr freundlich und haben uns alle Schritte erklärt. Am Ende haben wir unsere selbstgemachte Pasta und Tiramisu gegessen. Der Abend war voller schöner Eindrücke. Wo kann man italienische Pasta und Tiramisu besser lernen als in Italien?

Giovanni und seine Frau sind sehr nette Gastgeber. Leider hat nicht jeder seinen eigenen Arbeitsplatz (waren nur zu dritt) um Pasta herzustellen- so wie es auf den Bildern von Cesarine gezeigt wird. Es gibt nur ein großes Nudelbrett, Giovanni zeigt vor und dann kann man beim Kneten, Füllen, Schneiden, Walzen,…helfen. Auch das Tiramisu bereitet Giovanni alleine zu. Es ist also eher ein Schaukurs mit anschließendem Essen - man sollte nur keine falschen Erwartungen haben. Die Pasta und das Tiramisu schmeckten natürlich hervorragend und man kann Prosecco und Wein trinken so viel man möchte, abschließend gibt es auch noch Limoncello. Alles in allem war es ein toller interessanter Abend.
