Absolutely fab tour. We both really enjoyed it. Really lovely staff too especially Catherine, great humour. Perfectly situated down the road from our hotel. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Extremely interesting and enjoyable visit. Claire, David and Jack made us feel very welcome and explained their individual roles within the production of their gin. The tour was followed by the tastings which we also enjoyed. The gin is really nice…… Well worth a visit.

Really good fun! The two guides were really funny whilst still being really knowledgeable, we had a great time. Great fun trying all the gins and rums at the end

Received this as a gift, and it was the best experience! We were thoroughly entertained and educated about gin, got to taste LOTS (amazing to be greeted with a huge G&T waiting for you), and thoroughly enjoyed making our own gin. You are given plenty of advice on what to add depending on what you like, while enjoying a gin cocktail, and then another G&T of your choice, and then gin tastings! We hadn't realised we'd be drinking quite so much, so definitely recommend booking a taxi (we had to leave our car overnight). Hearing how the distillery started, and their passion as a small, almost entirely, family business, is inspiring. But overall this was just so much fun. Looking forward to buying some vouchers for friends.

This was a Christmas gift for me and my partner and was very enjoyable. It’s a small family run distillery and everyone is very enthusiastic about the products they produce. Lots of information about how the distillery works and finishing with a tasting session and a full size gin or rum with mixture of your choice. If you buy any items in the gift shop there’s a 10% discount as well. Definitely recommend a visit.

Overall a great tour, talk and drink. Very infomrative staff who clearly know what they're talking about and have a passion for it. It's only a small distillery and so there's very little walking about and were made very comfortable for the tour to start. Great drinks follwing, with the choice to coohse your own poison at the end. Great stuff (and very nice gin, rum and vodka!)

Best gin distillary tour we have been on. We started with the history of gin and why some of the sayings like “mothers ruin” came about. Good tastings with tips on best things to add. This was followed by a tour and welcome drink.

Friends treated my partner and I to a distillery tour for Christmas and we booked this easily in the January for an April date and made a weekend of it, staying in Stratford Upon Avon itself.  We arrived a little early for our tour, but Sam greeted us warmly and we relaxed over a couple of G&Ts and snacks in the cafe whilst everyone assembled. Sam kindly gave us recommendations for restaurants and bars in town which were very helpful and demonstrated the care and attention evident in this distillery.  The tour itself was great and all three presenters were excellent and very knowledgeable. The equipment in the distillery was impressive, as was the choice of bottle design and brand identity overall. It was particularly interesting to hear about their journey in producing rum too, especially as they seem to have maximised the lockdown periods to embark on a new venture.  The gin tasting was excellent and I particularly liked their Stratford Dry (which we had already loved in the bar right at the start!). It was great to see the mixers offered to compliment each gin and my partner sampled the rum too. We were impressed and in a very happy mood as the tour concluded, just over the stated 90 minutes. At the end, we maximised the discount offered in the shop and took home 3 bottles of spirits, some taster glasses and a lovely toat bag to carry it all in!  Very happy to recommend this experience and praise the team at Shakespeare Distillery. Well done and keep up your hard work!

Very informative tour by Claire & team. Enjoyed learning about the processes gone through to make gin and rum which made it more interesting when doing the tasting at the end of the tour. Would definitely recommend a visit.

This is an outstanding experience which me and my partner really enjoyed. If you are interested in the history and making of gin, plus enjoy drinking it, you will love this tour. There is an engaging and entertaining presentation about the history of gin (more interesting than it sounds!), followed by a tour and explanation of how they make their gin (and rum) and then you get to see in the bottling room. Finally there are tastings, the best but obviously! You get to try 3 gins plus enjoy a full drink with mixer. The setting is wonderful in the countryside! Although you will need a taxi to get there. The building and interior is really nice and welcoming too, modern and a cool vibe. We arrived a bit early, but there is a very reasonably priced and comfortable cafe onsite which was a nice way for us to start our experience. This is a family run business, and the staff are superb. They are very friendly, knowledgable and passionate about what they do. There’s an opportunity to chat to them at the end if you want to know more, or want some drinking recommendations! I did this experience as a birthday celebration and cannot recommend it enough!

Very interesting and professionally run session. I now know lots more about gin than I did beforehand. Good tasting session at the end.

Great tour, really interesting and informative. Staff are so friendly and were very keen to answer any questions and talk about the processes. Didn’t feel pressured at all to buy any products at the end but with the discount we felt it would be silly not to ! Great value for money and good short experience for any resident or tourist.

Wonderful masterclass in making gin. Learnt a lot in a fun educational few hours with plenty of samples. I came home with my very own named bottle of gin.

The tasting was above the shop in Stratford itself. A beautiful room. I was disappointed with just a video showing the room that the vessels were in and some cartoon drawings explaining the history of Gin. The tasing was nice, the lady doing our talk was very knowledgable and very humorous which kind of made the session as it was only 50 minutes long. I expected a little longer and would have liked to see more about the company itself. Its not a "tour" is sitting down for 50 mins watching a video and listening to the lady talk.

We enjoyed a relaxing drink prior to starting the tour with an entertaining and enthusiastic presentation about gin in general. The specifics of SD gave a a good insight into the process and more general gin knowledge before stepping through to the bottling section and an introduction to the mechanics of bottling and labelling. Our tasting session was very good with the chance to sample 3 spirits be they just gin or a rum too. This was neat and with mixer with the total amount being equivalent to a 25ml measure. This could be followed by gin/rum with mixer or, for drivers, a 50ml bottle to take home. All 3 presenters were friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgeable for an entertaining 1.5 hours. Good value!

Easy to book. Friendly and informative from booking over the phone to reception and tour. Small family run distillery. We all enjoyed our visit and had a laugh. Othello taxi service was reasonably priced and drivers were friendly and reliable. All in all great value and recommended to anyone who likes gin or Rum!
