This was definitely a walking tour, with some food. Heavier on the culture than on food. But we had picked it for that reason, and we enjoyed it. Just know that there is a lot of walking involved. Wear comfortable shoes. We had gone to the adjacent palace earlier in the day, and it was quite crowded. The palace at night is empty and quiet and pretty. The food at the market was all yummy, and the temple after that was serene and beautiful. We enjoy talking to other travelers on group tours like this. We are glad we did this tour.

A good tour to join even as a solo traveler. We got to the Changgyeonggung palace in the evening, but it was still bright sky. So the lighting at palace wasn't that clear. It went dark when we left the area. The foods were delicious, even provided vegi options for me. Unfortunately we didn't have time to see more of the Gwangjang Market, just the beginning. The Jogyesa Temple was magical due to decorations for Buddhas upcoming birthday. For a groupsize like this I would recommend a microphone or something like this. I couldn't get everything from our lovely tourguide.

I enjoyed all the activities and the guide was lively. I think we spent too much time at the palace. As a result, our time at the market was very rushed. Overall, a very good tour. I would recommend.

I like the history if the place and the beauty of the places were enhanced by the lights. The guide is very informative.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The market experience was my favorite portion. She encouraged everyone to try but was not pushy. I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend!

Ms J was a great tour guide! We enjoyed the stops on this tour, as well as seeing the city in between the stops. We sat down to enjoy several street food dishes family style. The food was delicious and it was plenty for a dinner.

Gina was such a great guide, informative and made sure everyone had a good evening. The Palace was magical in the evening & food tasting was interesting [I skipped the live octopus]. The walk around the various neighbourhoods showed different sides of Seoul & the temple was very peaceful at night Overall, highly recommended tour! Thank you Gina for sharing photos too!

Tour never done , no one was in the meeting location when I arrive . 5 minutes later the time I start calling Viator help line but they couldn’t contact them. I had Tried to contact them all day long because usually the tour company sends a email with meeting solicitations but this tour never done that. Viator help line told me they will requested a refund but the amount was never refunded.

There is a lot of high speed walking in this tour. Not enough time spent in markets or at food tour. Was expecting more options to try at food tour. Felt more like snacks than a dinner. Ms Sen was informative and fun guide but walked really fast.

Let me start of by saying that our tour guide was amazing (night tour on March 31st). We were only in Korea for two nights so we were looking for a tour guide that will take us around the area and talk about Korea culture & history. This tour satisfied those needs. We were not interested in the food perse, just the night temple and the city areas but I will say the food was delicious and the way the tour guide explain the history was super interesting. so for that 5 stars. The only recommendation I would give is the following. When asking is someone is allergic to something, when a person answers just acknowledge and move on. At one moment the tour guide asked if anyone was allergic to something. Both me and my husband are allergic to seafood we already knew this was also a food tour but we were ok in avoiding the food if necessary. Of all the dishes none of them where seafood with the exception of the live octopus so that was the only thing we needed to avoid. The rest of the tour was walking and talking about history and all the other dishes were not seafood so it was all good and it was exactly what we were looking for. However, when we told the tour guide what we were allergic to. The tour guide acted suprised and incredulous. So much that she proceeded to ask us again and specifying “like nothing? no sea food at all?” and we had to answer again “yes” I dnt think the tour guide did it with ill intent but her incredulous behavior to our answer resulted in giving the confidence to a client in the group to say “why did they even come to this tour then?” This made us feel very uncomfortable. We payed and again all dishes except the live octopus were not seafood and everything else was just walking and history. So why would we not go to a tour just bc we will not try the octopus? It took all of our might not to respond to the ridiculous commentary that that person said. Is not like anyone wants to be born allergic to something. But we also understand that had the tour guide just acknowledge our answer and move on without acting so incredulous and keep asking us what we already answered this person would have not felt the need to comment on us being there. so that was the only thing. Is ok to ask if someone in the group is allergic to something but if you ask, then you have to be open and handle the answers given to you. Asking more than once is not going to make the allergies go away. The history was awesome, the food was delicious, everything was interesting and the tour guide was great at keeping everyone involved and interested in the story. So 5 stars. We both understand the tour guide has no control over other clients and we also believe her response was not with ill intent, it just seem like she was taken aback.

Helena was a wonderful tour guide! She was so funny and great at telling stories and information about everything we saw. We got a lot done within the short period of time we had. The food was amazing and for sure something I wouldn’t have tried without knowing about it. I loved learning about the palaces in the dark!

This was definitely a good introductory tour. I had already been in South Korea for a while, but my friend who came had not. He enjoyed that he got to try different food on a small scale while learning about the culture. I additionally also enjoyed learned more about the palace during this tour. Janice (our tour guide) was amazing. Her sense of humor was amazing and made the tour very fun and entertaining. I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone's first time in South Korea.

The sights/areas you see are actually great. The palace at night is beautiful and going to the night market is a feast. The problem is that the everything was a blur because the guide walked so fast I couldn’t enjoy the things I was supposed to. To be fair, she did provide some good background info about the palace but I know I missed a lot because I was just barely keeping up. She didn’t look back to see if we were all there and yes, there was another trailing guide, but still if she was saying anything she was way too far ahead for me to hear. Especially in an unfamiliar city, this is concerning since people take tour so they can feel safer and learn more than if they are on their own.
