BEWARE! Horrible customer service, this tour came up when searching things to do in Charleston, SC on TripAdvisor. We booked as this was our fist time visiting SC, when we were planning out our day the night before the tour we realized both this tour and another we booked were 2 hours away from Charleston. Cancellation policy is to cancel 24 hours prior to tour for both tours, we immediately contacted both tours that night as soon as we realized. The other company super nice, helpful accommodating and refunded the trip on the first contact with them. This company however, decided $190 would be worth a bad customer review and taking tourist who were unaware of the area for their money….furthermore they responded through TripAdvisor basically calling us liars. I would save your money and book with a company who has higher standards and exhibits true southern hospitality.

This Segway experience was fabulous! My mom and I went for the first time ever and our guide, Chris, did a phenomenal job! He was an excellent instructor, very knowledgeable and covered a lot of area with us. We even ventured over to Jarvis Creek Park and saw some alligators. He was incredibly safe the entire time. We loved this and absolutely recommend the tour!

This was so much fun!!! You will become a solid rider in just minutes. Our group was in their late 60s to mid 70s so age is no excuse! Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable of the low country ecosystem. Plenty of "off road" fun with the segways. Simply a must do when you are in the Hilton Head area.

We had a wonderful private family tour - 8 of us from 14-84 years old - with Segway leaders Bob and Liz. Our family has been to the Discovery Coastal Museum before but not on Segways, and they were able to show us more and teach us more than we'd ever seen before. Good instructions for the use of Segways, good length of the trip, good rest stops, good fun riding over a variety of terrain, good fun all around! We would all highly recommend this excursion!

John was an excellent Segway guide. He was very informative, but also fun. We thoroughly enjoyed our 90 minutes and would definitely return.

This adventure was informative, interesting and lots of fun. Kim and John were fabulous to work with. I’d give it 10 stars if I could just for the way John made the tour fun and successful for a family member who found it challenging.

Alison made our trip so memorable she was so nice and full of enthusiasm. Made us feel at ease from the moment we arrived. Great trip around the Castle grounds and through the Forrest. The views to the snow capped mountains was amazing 😻

We are two retired couples from Nova Scotia. We had always wanted to try riding Segways and this tour looked to be what we were looking for. We were not disappointed! A bit of trepidation at first (especially after watching the safety video…LOL), but within minutes all were extremely comfortable slaloming around the practice area. Beyond the fun of the Segway, the tour was excellent! John, our guide was entertaining and extremely knowledgeable. This was one of the best things we have done on Hilton Head. Make sure you visit the Coastal Discovery Museum while you are here.

We had never ridden segways, so that was definitely part of the fun. We loved riding the nature trails, especially through the old growth live oaks! Chris gave some interesting historical info at various stops along the way. Honey Horn is beautiful!

Highly recommend this guided tour with commentary! Chris led us through the 70 acres nature preserve. Our guide was super knowledgeable and we asked a ton of questions while he answered every one! This was worth the 90 minutes especially with the all terrain wheels allowing us to cover trails and pavement with ease! Doing this without Chris' knowledge would not have been as enjoyable or educational. Great insights and a ton of fun!

Chris was great and we learned so much, both of us on the tour had a really interesting experience despite it being just us. Even though one of us fell off when we were going too fast, still an exciting and educational experience. One tip: Chris, park in the shade when you are telling us about the history so we can comfortably enjoy the talk. Thanks!!!

So much fun. Our tour guide John was very patient with us, as it was our first time in a Segway. He had a wealth of knowledge about the area. I was a fun adventure for our family.

Each year I pick a new activity to do on our vacation week and this was it for 2022. We had done Segways before so I knew we would enjoy it. Janet, our guide, was awesome, knowledgeable and made it a great time. Riding trails, seeing the salt marsh, and some of the historical markers added to the fun of just riding a Segway. Highly recommend!

Our host Mary was exceptional and enthusiastic. Everyone who likes history will love this tour . It does get very hot outside on the Segway, so dress appropriately!
