After visiting the local market to buy fresh ingredients, we joined a chef in cooking paella and then got to eat it. Before cooking we shared tapas and sangria while getting to know the other participants .The leaders were organized and had great personalities making it a most enjoyable experience!

Loved this experience!! We left with new paella knowledge, new friends, and a slight sangria buzz :) Juan, Jose, and Christina led our class and they were hilarious and fun. We met other couples and families from all over the world. Must do while you’re in Valencia!

My First Paella was a fantastic authentic experience myself and husband enjoyed. We had such knowledgeable hosts who were fun and informative. They guided us around the market and once we had the ingredients we went back to such a great space where everything was laid out ready. Sangria was free flowing and you could keep topping yourself up and having tapas during the cooking! We all sat down together with wine and were well looked after with sweet treats and coffee for afterwards. The paella was absolutely amazing! The chef was so experienced and great fun to work with. We loved this experience it’s a great idea for a couple and we would definitely recommend it!

It was very well organised, they spoke really good English. The teachers were friendly and funny, and made sure our 10 years old boy was catered for. It was fun for the whole family, and the food and drink was amazing. Highly recommended

We all thoroughly enjoyed our experience with My First Paella. Great to go and source the ingredients from a local market, learn about the ingredients and return to the welcoming kitchen to put those ingredients into action. We all learned so much! Everyone was super passionate, knowledgeable and really cared about the whole experience. For us this is a must do experience when visiting Valencia - and our Paella making at home will also be vastly improved!

This was such a fabulous experience to do with the family. Visiting a real local market to buy the ingredients, tasting amazing tapas and Sangria, learning to cook the paella and then sitting down with everyone to eat the fruits of our labour was so much fun. It engaged all our senses and the staff were so passionate, funny and easy to be with. It's a must do when visiting Valencia and these guys are just brilliant 👏 Memories made today, thank you!

Wonderful fun experience. John and Chris are great, very enthusiastic, and I apologize that I forgot our 3rd chef but she was delightful as well. All and all a fun experience and if you want to experience the making of paella a must do.

What a wonderful way to dive into a Valencian tradition! My husband, college aged son, and I had the most amazing time. The instructors were fun, personable, and knowledgeable adding much to the memorable afternoon! And the sangria, tapas, paella, and dessert were delicious. Can't wait to attempt making this once we get home!

I had a very nice cooking experience with the crew of my firstpaella. Especially Anna stood out as a very warm, inspiring cook, giving some very good 'tips' about the do's and don'ts in order to cook the perfect seafood paella. Her two male collegues (Jose and I forgot the other name, sorry) were also very forthcoming and hospitable. Thank you so much. I can certainly recommend this workshop and their sangria ;-)

What a wonderful experience! Jose, Cristina and Anna were all fun and informative. The food was absolutely delicious, and with the cross section of attendees from all of the world ( Canada, US, Germany, Holland & Switzerland ) it made the experience even better. Would highly recommend this class Muchas Gracias!

Highly recommend this tour! Our three tour guides John, Chris and Anna were so fun. They really worked well together and we learned so much. We laughed all afternoon. Plus the paella was delicious. We started off in the market, then headed back to the kitchen and had sangria and tapas. We learned how to make the sangria. Cooking with Anna was just the best! She really loves her job and cooking, She’s a real people person — they all are! This was our last day in Valencia, and probably one of our best!

We had an amazing time with "My first paella". It was a great afternoon activity while in Valencia. We started in the market where we visited various stalls and leared about their offerings. Afterwards we took a quick walk to the Kitchen. When we arrived in the Kitchen we started with some Tapas that were delicious. Afterwards we begin cooking our seafood paella. The result was delicious. We had an amazing experiance and would highly recomend it if you have an after noon in Valencia.

Really fun day with delicious Paella! Our group had people making Valencian and vegetarian paella as well as the seafood paella that we made. It was great to learn about the differences in how to cook the traditional versus the seafood version! Street visiting the local market, we started out with some tapas and sangria before collaboratively cooking the paella and sitting down together to enjoy it. Overall a fun, educational, and delicious experience!

Absolutely fantastic! From start to finish, best 3,5 hours of our otherwise amazing Valencia trip. Market visit was informative, cooking great fun, drinks plenty, food delicious - but it is the staff that makes this absolute magic! José and his team are magicians that make everyone special and included, their enthusiasm bursting like our workshop was the one and only they are doing. Two of our girls (7 and 9) were sceptical at first but put this experience right next to Bioparc and Oceanografic ones, while our teenage daughter is still totally enthralled even a week after we got home. Can't recommend enough…

My First Paella was a FUN experience. I highly recommend as a way to learn a bit of Valèncian culture and detailed instructions on how to cook paella. The class was so much fun and it’s a great way to meet folks from across the world! ❤️

If I could give 10 stars, I would. It was a fantastic experience. Very informative, but also a huge amount of fun! Great market visit, more than enough tapas, sangria and wine, and, of course, delicious paella. And I do mean delicious. The team is amazing, and the interaction was excellent. I highly recommend this, it was a top experience, and the lessons we learnt will be invaluable, especially the small tips which make a big difference (squeezing the prawn heads, etc.). Thanks Jose and team.

As part of a cruise stop for the day several of us did this paella experience. My husband was ill on the day and couldn’t make it. They kindly offered to package up his food to take away, sadly I was not able to do this. The whole experience I enjoyed immensely. After a fun visit to the market having been split into 2 groups we made our way to the kitchen. At this point I have to say that the team doing the demonstration were extremely tolerant of some very awkward customers. A couple of people were really struggling to walk and were complaining the entire time and we kept having to wait for them to catch up. Another who had clearly booked the seafood paella announced she didn’t like seafood and wanted to change as did her companion. The team were extremely accommodating to these people, incidentally when we sat to eat the paella she didn’t eat any as she announced she didn’t eat rice. I mean why would you book a seafood paella experience if you don’t eat seafood or paella. As well as the cooking we had a wonderful starter of meats and cheeses and some jugs of sangria was served. We were encouraged to help cook the paella, some didn’t want to (☹️☹️) but it was a lot of fun and the end result delicious. Overall I really enjoyed myself despite some annoying participants and would thoroughly recommend this to anyone with a sense of fun
