Scuba scammed us. They had us sit at a table for an hour after scuba and ignored our plea for some type of service. We sat at a table with food splattered all over it for 30 mins before I went to get a towel and clean it off. Then I had to go get the scuba guys to tell the restaurant to please give my kids some food. With 8 mins left before we had to leave they brought out one plate of chips for 6 people. Scuba was fine but don't tell me we get food after if we are not. So most iur time was spent driving in the van and at a dirty table staring at each other.

I did a refresher dive. I have advanced open water certification, but I hadn’t done a dive in almost three years. Even though none of the information was new, Alexander was enjoyable to listen to. Out of all the instructors I’ve heard teach, he was the best. His instructions were clear and he is a great communicator. Carlos and Alexander made the time in the water very enjoyable. They were conscientious and thoughtful. Ivan captured the dive perfectly on camera. I was so grateful to have beautiful photos to remember the experience. I can’t remember the name of the captain, but even he and another dive master were incredibly helpful, seeking to make the experience easy and enjoyable for everyone.

Carlos and Ivan are both great. I did a bunch of dives with them last week and had a great time. The dive sites are excellent, the equipment they use is in good shape, and every dive we did was a lot of fun. Highly recommend!!!

Really loved my 2 dives today, beautiful location and the dive sites were 20 mins by small boat. I am still very new to diving and have lots to learn, these were my first dives since covid began and my dive guide, Gandhi was amazing. He was really supportive and allowed me to take my time getting used to it all again. We swam along the reef where we saw loads of wildlife and we had plenty of time to just enjoy the scenery. Gandhi was also really helpful back on land, chatting to me about my dive style and kindly talking me through ways to keep improving. I feel that I learned a lot today! Captain Eddie was great too and really helpful with getting on & off the boat and with gear. I would very much recommend Scuba Maroma.

Second time diving with Alex. First time with Ivan. Both were great and they are very accommodating to whatever your experience level is. I would recommend diving here for a great recreational dive with no worries.

The entire dive was very enjoyable. I did not have my weight dialed in when I arrived and Alex helped me neutralize very efficiently. The reef was gorgeous, we saw several lion fish and a sting ray as well as a stone fish! All around a pleasant experience with a snack included afterwards while you wait on transit. Highly reccomend!

This scuba diving experience was outstanding!! We did a 2-tank dive. I can’t remember the name of our scuba tour guide, but the captain of the boat was Eddie Both gentleman were amazing. They were very knowledgeable. The scuba guide sat down with my husband and I and showed us how all of our own equipment worked. It was a wonderful tutorial. He showed us what values and pulls to use, depending on what we were trying to do. He taught us a lot about buoyancy too. I would highly recommend this experience!!! It made for an unforgettable experience!!

Great experience! Alex, the dive master was a excellent guide and very knowledgeable. We got to see an assortment of fish, eels, stingrays, and other underwater creatures!

The 2 tank dive was pretty good. Lots of good marine life and our guide was excellent at showing us around the area.

So back in 2016 while on my honeymoon, I decided to get diving certification through maroma adventures. Ever since my honeymoon, I come stay in Mexico every year and during my stay, I schedule a 2-bottle dive with these guys. It is a part of my trip that I look forward to the most. To be honest, it has a lot to do with how comfortable the diving instructors make me feel every year. With such awesome instructors like Alex and Ivan, you feel very safe and carefully watched. I’ve done 10 dives with these guys and I am counting down the days till December 2021 when we can dive again.

We did 6 dives over a three day period with Scuba Maroma. We dove with Ivan, Ursula, Kevin, and Alex on The Fallen Angel. They were amazing on ALL the dives. We went to great sites and got to see lots of aquatic life and beautiful reefs. Every dive master was good to point things out that they spotted on the dive. Before the dives they helped us gear up, went over all the safety protocol, and even discussed the signs for the different aquatic life! At the conclusion of each dive they would even help you (if you wanted) take your gear off, so you wouldn't have to climb back into the boat with all the weight. I really appreciated this since I had knee surgery this year. We will definitely dive with them in the future!

This is the second time my husband has dove with Ursula, the last time being in June. He had another great experience with her. It ended up being just the two of them and Luis was a great captain driving the boat. Thank you again for another great experience. See you in April!

Extremely organized, professional, and efficient. High quality clean gear already prepped for you. Diving was great. Water was warm and clear. Saw turtles, barracuda, moray eel, diversity of fish. Ursula was very friendly and highly skilled and knowledgeable. Chips, salsa, and soft drink at the end was a great treat. I felt the organization over delivered to build a great reputation. Had a wonderful time.

I love to dive, but I havent been for a couple of years and found my last dive (in France) quite stressful. I did a refresher dive/lesson with Kevin at my hotel (Sensimar). He was brilliant! Really helped me to remember all my training and set me up for my open water dives a couple of days later, both of which I really enjoyed. I don't think I'd have enjoyed it half as much without Kevin's instruction in the refresher. Can't recommend enough. Also, shout out to Alberto, who was incredibly helpful and thorough in setting up the lesson, dives and whale shark trips.

While staying at the Riu Palace costa Mujeres, I book my diving excursion with Nexus to go dive in Maroma. A long trip 1h20 trip form the hotel. They picked me up at the hotel at 7h55. One on site, they direct me to the dive shop and I was greated by Alex, our dive master. He asked me what equipment I need and because I had by BC, asked me if I'd like him to get it ready on the tank so I hand it out. Once the medical questionnaire filled, we got dressed and ready to head to the boat. We dive the site called 55, nice reef with a max dept of 55-60 feet. Second dive was at the dive site The Corner. Reef at about 25-35 feet. Nice corals, many fishes, 1 turtle, 1 stinray, lobsters, barracuda, french angels, queen angels, green moray, spotted moray, etc. After the dive, you can have a bowl of chips with salsa and water at their restaurant or wait outside for your ride back at the hotel. Beware, the green salsa is spicy. Alex was a great guide and I had a good experience. Thanks Maroma Adventures.

Maroma Adventures was very professional. We had an excellent day with them for our 2 tank guide. The Dive Masters were very relaxed and knowledgeable. They divided up the group into 2 based on diver's abilities and personalities. The boat was well organized and the equipment was in good condition. The dive masters doubled as crew and kept everything in order. They swapped over our tanks in seconds during the surface interval. I would highly recommend diving with this company.

We went on two tanks dives with Ursula on 2 separate days and she was awesome. She took good care of us and took us to places to see the things we wanted to see. She is an excellent guide and knowledgable. Can't wait to go back and see her again for a scuba trip

Activity menu incorrect selection as these were real scuba dives not referral dives. The 2-tank dives are in a marine park so the fish, coral, etc are in good condition with limited damage from activities. Dive Master Matias is first class! He paid attention to everyone in the group and worked with divers on any issues (weights, air) that affected the dives. Pointed out lot of things, eel, lobsters, lionfish, stonefish, etc. and took us to 2 very good sites. I personally dove the same 2 sites 7 years ago and noticed the limited damage to fan coral, sponges, etc from that time until now. Dives were mixed drift and side current but the boat was always there for the surfacing as one member went up earlier than the remainder. I recommend this location and the dive company.
