What an amazing experience. We were picked up from our hotel and taken to Galleon beach where we were given instruction on how to use the scooters. Be aware though, this is not for non swimmers. We saw turtles, rays, sea urchins and an array of colourful fish and to top it all we came away with lots of fabulous photos of our whole experience. We’ve snorkelled many times before but this was by far the best.
The snorkeling was epic - we were able to see tons of gorgeous fish and a few turtles. Damon was a superb instructor and made sure we all were comfortable and happy. He's also just such a smart and wonderful guide - I would recommend him in heartbeat. He picked us up in a comfortable van at our Condo and drove thoughtfully and with knowledge on the crazy roads of Antigua. He also is very interested in preserving the environment in Antigua and is clearly interested in seeing the island succeed. The only sad thing was that he found a huge gorgeous Hawksbill turtle that was dead, apparently hit by a boat. He pulled it out and called the right people to handle.
This activity was one of the best excursions I have been on. We saw sea turtles and they were majestic. The tour was relaxed and organized
5 stars is not enough to rate this trip! Damon was helpful knowledgeable and boosted my confidence enough to get in the water! We would come back to Antigua just to do this trip!
