The yioung lady (Ambra) was very well informed and brought a great sense of fun and humour to the experience. My only criticism is that I expected more of a tour of Sienna itself.

Elio explained the wines and food choices in fine fashion. All were excellent. We enjoyed our tour around the area with some history mixed in as well as the stuffed pizza. Well worth it! Kudos to Elio!

The tour really help me appreciate some of the wines of Thea area. It was a good introduction to the Tuscany region and the different wines and different quality of wines that are offered. The tour also included a short tour around Siena and explained some really unique aspects of the different neighborhoods within the city. It was a really fun and enjoyable tour.

For a rainy day it turned out great. Elio and Georgia were great hosts. Elio has a great personality and is very knowledgeable. Pairings of meats and cheeses with wines was really good. We even got out a little bit for a bite of a local favorite…….Ciaccino. Then back for dessert and wine. Stayed pretty dry for a rainy day and we are completely satisfied and full from all the food we enjoyed. Thanks. Will recommend to friends

Highly recommend this tour! We came down from Florence and scheduled the night before. Elio was ready for us and we took off on a one hour tour around Siena. It was great to learn about the neighborhoods and overall history! Once back for the wine and food portion we settled in for another hour of history about the region and wines we were trying. Great information received for a two hour tour!

We spontaneously booked the Savor Siena tour (which was no problem, they where really helpful eventhough we booked last minute) and it was a great tour. We started with a wine tasting together with some cold cuts and cheeses. After that we went out on a tour of the town where Giorgia told us about the exciting history of Siena. After the tour we ended with some sweets and a great sweet wine. We can highly recommend this tour, everything about it was great and we also learned a lot. Giorgia was a great tour guide and you could really tell she has a lot of knowledge about the history of Siena and about the local wines, her passion was really inspiring and we loved her!

Georgia was our hostess and after starting us with wines of the area ,we walked about an hour around Siena stopping to sample meats, gelato, ciaccino ( great street food )! What a joy to walk through this old city and learn of the Contrade and the famous Palio horserace competitions.... I think Siena is my favorite small town in Italy ! Georgia was eager to share restaurant suggestions for our stay here !

I absolutely loved this tour! Great view of some of the "off the beaten path" places in Siena. Gelato, wine, cheese, meats, olive oil and CIACCINI - definitely worth your time when you are visiting Siena!

Thank you Nina for a wonderful food and wine tour. It was by far the best gelato we have tried in Italy (and we have tried a LOT). Thanks also for introducing us to Il Vinaio di Bobbe and Davide (see separate review) which became our favourite restaurant during our stay. It was a pleasure meeting you. P.S. We enjoyed the food and wine tour so much we also took the wine tasting tour with Nina the next day.

We enjoyed this tour with Nina. She is very impressive as speaks 8 languages and also an author! The tour was 2 hrs which was perfect and a small group so it was intimate. Also, there was wine and food along the way. Definitely would recommend this tour!

This is a great way to learn about some of Siena’s history/culture, taste popular foods and enjoy a little bit of wine. Nina did a fantastic job as our tour guide! She is very knowledgeable and friendly and it was only her third day working for the Tuscan Wine School! I recommend this tour to any first time visitors to Siena.

As my partner and I were only going to be in Siena for two days, we were looking for something fun to do that would also give us an idea of the culture of Siena. We got exactly what we were looking for and much more! Our tour guide was Nina and we couldn’t believe that it was one of her first tours. She was brilliant at her job, she was so welcoming and friendly and we could tell she was so passionate about both wine and food. She allowed us to pick her brain for the whole tour with any questions we had about Siena/Italy. Nina made this tour so enjoyable by showing us the best spots to eat and drink in Siena while making us feel like we were chatting with our friend. We tried lots of Siena specialties such as wine, cold meats and a tasty ham and cheese pizza/sandwich (that I wish I could remember the name of). We left feeling very full, it’s a must do if you visit Siena!

We had a great experience with Giorgia for our food and wine tour! We started at the Tuscan Wine School with a glass of wine and some wonderful samplings of cheese, then began exploring the local area. She was super friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the history of Sienna and the rivalry between the neighborhoods, all while making us laugh and showing us the sights. We sampled lots of amazing food, including salami, pizza, gelato, truffles, and more. Then we returned to the wine school and tasted olive oil, tried different desserts, and drank even more wine. We definitely felt full and satisfied at the end of the tour. Of note, we had two young children and my parents with us, and she made sure to keep an easy going pace throughout the walk. I highly recommend this tour, and can't thank Giorgia enough for for the wonderful experience!

I thoroughly enjoyed the Savor Siena tour by Tuscan Wine School. Everything we tasted was excellent, and Giorgia gave us an insider's look into Siena's contrade (neighborhoods), rivalries, the Palio, a bit of history, and local pride. I felt like I got to know this city better and now feel a stronger connection to it and its people. I thought it was well worth the money, and I now know where to head for dinner, the market, and of course where to get the best gelato. This is money well spent!

Giorgia and Savor Siena was one of the highlights of our trip to Tuscany. Giorgia Is very knowledgeable and her English is excellent. She introduced us to some wonderful wines, cheeses, honey, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar in her shop. We learned a lot about Siena and the surrounding areas. The tastings at the local cafes and shops were wonderful. We tried truffles for the first time. Tip...park in the underground parking garage near the train station. Enter the shopping mall and take 9, yes 9, escalators to the top. From there take a cab to the wine school.

My wife and I spent two hours at lunch time on Tuscan Wine School's Savor Siena tour. The tour starts with a sampling of wines, truffle cremes and other delicacies at their store. We then moved on to visit a "deli" (see picture below) where we tasted meats and cheeses, a coffee shop for some excellent espresso, and a gelataria for the best gelato we had on this Italian trip. More than enough food to make a great lunch. Our guide, Sofia, was excellent. Her English was excellent. In addition to information about the food, she also provided insights into living in Tuscany. Lest you have any concerns in this regard, there was absolutely no pressure to purchase products.

We did the Savor Siena walk and it was great. They are VERY centrally located, so it was a great way to start our visit to Siena. Our guide, Ilaria was full of knowledge about the area and the food and wine culture. She was also very easy to get along with, which makes for a nice tour. Highly recommended.

We took the Savor Siena food and wine tour with the Tuscan Wine School and had a marvelous time. Sophia was a fabulous guide and we learned a lot about Siena food traditions and how they came to be. The tour started at the school with wine and bread and olive oil and then progressed to different food purveyors in Siena. Go hungry! We sampled so many meats, cheeses, breads, pastries, gelato, wine and chocolates, we rolled out!! The people on our tour were fun and added to the experience. If you are a foodie, this tour is a MUST. If you are not a foodie but enjoy history, this tour gives you a nice perspective on the history of food which is important because food is so important to the Italian culture. It was fun and a lot of laughs. I would definitely recommend this anyone visiting Siena--a most enjoyable two hours!
