Elisa was amazing! Highly recommend! She helped us understand the history of San Miguel from a local perspective and also put san miguel in the context of the wider history of the country. She introduced us to many wonderful places and was really knowledgeable and helpful. We felt so lucky that she was our guide!

Elisa gave a wonderful history of the town, insight to the foods, and retelling of how San Miguel became an artist community. She knows many people in tow, has lived there her whole life, and is proud and authentic about her home. It was a fantastic tour with lots of choices for food! She also helped us identify good makers from whom to purchase our souvenirs. Excellent experience!

Great tour with Omar. He’s a fascinating story teller. You will learn a lot through his stories. Not to mention the restaurants were great, too. Highly recommend this tour for a leisurely way to spend an afternoon in lovely San Miguel Allende.

I had a wonderful tour with Elisa. I was the only guest and I asked her to modify the tour a bit. I wanted to spend more time in the Market and not go to the Fabrica, as I had already been. She was very accommodating and we had some delicious snacks in the Market. A very fun way to see the Market, learn some history and enjoy seeing some murals in the area. Gracias, Elisa.

We had an amazing time on the walking tour called “Arts and Snacks.” There were no others in our group, so we had a private tour! We tasted the best ever tamales and atole at the Mercado, and I bought a new hat to commemorate our trip 😊. We walked through the picturesque Guadalupe neighborhood and ended the tour at Fabrica de Aurora. Our guide, Victor, was excellent. This tour was, for us, the perfect mix of history, art, and food.

Elis was a wonderful local tour guide. She showed us all parts of the markets including the daily shopping area and the artisans market. Lovely cafes, tamales, atole, tortas, fresh tortillas, popsicles, juice and coffee. Walked through a gorgeous mural area ending in the Aurora artist area. Highly recommend this tour to get the best market stall food and scope out great shopping. So pleasant to spend time with Elis!

Our tour guide Alisa was a delight. She told us so much about the history/culture and foods of San Miguel Allende. The foods she introduced us to was delicious. Alisa is very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She took us to the marketplace and introduced us to the crafts people, explained how each design was always symbolic to the Mexican culture It is apparent Alisa loves what she does. We had a fabulous day.

Vail was super knowledgeable and provided a good history of San Miguel. I liked the snacks o n our tour especially the popsicle. she took us to places we never would have found on our own.

Don't let the lack of reviews fool you, this is a new but fantastic tour! I'm on my first solo trip and wanted to schedule a few tours to help get aquatinted with the area. This tour did not disappoint! Vail, our guide, was fantastic. She gave a ton of history to accompany the food and market portions of the tour. She was passionate about San Miguel and Mexican culture in general. We started with fresh tortillas, then delicious tamales inside the market, and on to tortas/aguas frescas. We got to see the vendors while moving from one food location to the next. We finished with some sweets, a nice cold popsicle before moving away from the market to get coffee at a huge art gallery. Along the way there were beautiful murals and Vail provided context and history. She really planned it out well and the whole thing felt very cohesive. She spoke perfect English and Spanish. She went above and beyond to help order at the various locations and called a taxi for members of the group. The fact that all the food was included was nice just because you didn't need to worry about having the right change, etc. I loved that the group was small (only 4 in my group) but not private, because as a solo traveler I wasn't looking for something 1:1. Vail made me feel so safe and she even offered to answer questions during the rest of my trip if I needed it. If you are wanting a chance to familiarize yourself with the city, make some connections, break up a solo trip, or just find some solid local spots for shopping/food, I highly recommend booking this.

We learned so much on this tour with the wonderful Vail! She demonstrated her depth of knowledge of Mexican history as well as local info and enriched our visit to San Miguel.
