We had a wonderful overview of San Francisco, a city which my husband and I had visited before, but which our daughters had not. We were able to customize the tour with the things we most wanted to see and Eric wove it all together in a comprehensive jaunt. Additionally, Eric has a great personality and made the trip even more fun! When we go back, we won't hesitate to ask Fogcutter Tours to take us to see the many areas that we didn't have time for in the 2023 trip.

Eric from Fogcutter Tours was excellent, as there was only 3 of us, it was practically a private tour. Eric was very polite, friendly and knowledgeable. I had booked him based on previous reviews and he lived up to them. A great way of seeing the different districts of the city.

This was our second tour in a week with Eric and it was even more special than the first. This was a private tour of the Muir Woods, Marin county and Sausilto. We loved the drive across the bridge and the scenery to and from the Muir Woods was spectacular. The highlight of the tour was the 30 min seaplane ride across the bay from a cute village surrounded by house boats. This was followed by a fresh customized picnic lunch and champagne. Eric was yet again a fantastic host and we really appreciated his company and insights on the tour. We would highly recommend this tour.

Eric was informative and entertaining. He truly knows the city well - lots of unusual facts. In terms of scheduling and figuring out the spots our group wanted to see, he was very easy to work with. Since I do most of our family's driving, it was wonderful getting to be a passenger as we explored the city!

Great tour and fantastic tour guide! Evereything right from the minute i enquire until I finally decided to book was first class. I knew right away that I was dealing with someone that wanted to please. Eric was a lot of fun and made an obvious effort to get to know everyone on the tour and make the experience excellent for all of us. He asked about everyone’s visits and journeys and was very engaging with everyone on the trip. I recently visited Rome and used the Viator group and was very disappointed on two excursions and slightly discounted on the other. I had read some reviews on YouTube and there was positive feedback on Eric so it was an easy decision knowing he was doing the tour. With the other groups you don’t know who your getting where as here it’s Eric and I like that. My expectations were high and he easier exceeded those. Great tour, great context, great variety and an all around great experience. trip. Definitely a worthwhile tour and a stellar way to see all the different parts of SF with a tour guide/owner who genuinely puts in the effort to make the experience memorable and stress-free. 10/10 recommend.

Eric is a great, friendly, knowledgeable person. Listens to clients to give a more personal tour. Stopped at a great place for us to get lunch. We arrived at the ferry to enjoy Alcatraz having made friends in the group. We had a fabulous tour with Eric even although we did not get Great Weather.Eric communicated so well with my booking request and arrived at our Hotel as he said. Eric is so knowledgable and we covered so many area of the city where he gave us such interesting facts and insights. He was great fun and yes some of his jokes were funny!!!His knowledge of Movies and where they were filmed around the city made my Husbands Day. He adapted the tour to the weather and helped us plan our time at Alcatraz and our free day so that we got the most from San Francisco a city he is so passionate about. This was a great tour. The open air van provided great unobstructed views of the city. We were given an overview of all the major parts of San Francisco. Eric was great as our tour guide. He was knowledgeable, and friendly. He provided a unique perspective on the cities history as well as a bunch of Dad jokes.

I've been on two other tours of San Francisco over the years, and they were on large buses, which were nice, but there's something about being able to explore the alleys and twisty streets of San Francisco in the Fogcutter smaller van that makes it so much better! Add to that the fact that the driver, Eric, is funny, well-informed, and doesn't mind answering questions, and I really have to say this was the best SF tour I've had. I recommend his tour to you without hesitation. Besides, he's a small business owner, and I'm all about supporting small businesses survive post-pandemic.

Eric is a great tour guide. My family of four came to San Francisco for my mom’s birthday and Eric was so nice to her, which I appreciated. He’s very knowledgeable about the city and we learned a lot and the many communities in San Francisco. Eric is very flexible and ensures that you are having a good time. The tour was the best part of our 4 days in San Francisco! There were 4 us, myself, my sister (middle aged women), a teenager and a young professional adult. Eric was so knowledgeable. We got to see so much of the city, including all of the highlights.

Since moving to the City in ‘94, I’ve taken FOUR - usually when visitors want me to show them a slice of this lovely sanctuary, we call San Francisco. These homogenized, corporate enterprises are guided by well-meaning operators following carefully crafted, corporate scripts. . . much like you’d experience on a Disney jungle cruise. It’s understandable why the tour’s scripts border on cheesy pater. It’s challenging to keep it fresh. Yesterday, six of us, all locals, decided to celebrate our re-entry into post-pandemic San Francisco after being cooped up at home. We chartered Fogcutter Tours and had a grand ole time discovering parts of the City we never knew existed. The quick-witted and gifted owner, Eric, maneuvered his custom open-sided touring van through the fun-filled streets and completely enchanted us with his local-take on Babylon-by-the-Bay. I encourage you to consider his intimate, small-group, private tours for outdoor pub crawls, field trips for your homeschooling children, bridal showers, a day in Muir Woods or Marin or just a spontaneous, fun-filled way to discover a side of San Francisco you never knew existed. His tours can be quite magical.
