We did the apple strudel and cookies class in December. We were a family of 6 persons. The class was a lot of fun. The instructor made the lesson seem easy. We were also served a delicious goulash soup. We highly recommend this class.

We enjoyed this cooking experience on New Years Day, making apple strudel and Christmas cookies, and eating soup while the cookies baked. Our instructor was informative and helpful. This was good to do with teens or with you f children. Thank you!

Johann and his team were fun to spend time with! His instructions and demonstration were clear and easy to follow and he made the experience as simple as possible (i.e., dough was already proofed and ready to be used). However, he still provided the recipe for the original dough for our use later. With a truly international group of participants, he was patient with all and answered everyone's questions about local ingredients and best practices. We walked away not only having enjoyed a simple meal he provided while our strudels were baking, but also with plenty of Salzburg Christmas Cookies and our leftover strudel to enjoy later. If you are looking for a laid-back baking experience in a small group (our consisted of 9 people), we highly recommend Edelweiss Cooking School.

Good activity and neat location but wasn't really cooking. He hands you dough for cookies and dough already made for strudel.

What a great thing to do on New Year's day! Johannes and Cindy made us very welcome and showed us how to make apple strudel ... then we made our own. Whilst that was cooking, we made Christmas cookies. We then had some goulash (vegetarian option available). The strudel and the cookies we baked were delicious, and we were given the remainder to take home. Our class was full, but we were not crowded at all ... some lovely other people with us ... a great way to spend a couple of hours, thankyou and happy new year to our group!

What a fun experience! We learned a lot about baking Austrian treats, and got to eat our treats! The soup lunch was tasty too! The staff were knowledgeable and friendly and extremely helpful! Highly recommend this tour!

Johann and team weee wonderful but I expected a much more hands on experience for the price paid. Very little work for you to do. I was traveling solo and was paired with a young boy and his mom. What passion this young man had! But even with the mom’s persuading to allow me and her turns, we did very little of the things we actually were allowed to do. Our tasks were only to season the sliced apples, stretch the already made dough, fill it and fold it. Not recommended for a solo traveler - you will get paired up. Not recommended for an experienced baker. I personally felt the value I paid did not reflect what I received during my 90 minutes in the class.

I don’t like leaving a bad review but the experience underwhelmed me. I expected much more hands on. As a single traveler I was paired up with a small family with a child. They were wonderful but I felt compelled to allow them to do the minimum number of steps in the baking process that we were able to do. The instructors were very kind and knowledgeable but the price paid for the class does not represent the value it is worth.

I'm not sure if we really learned how to make strudel, but it didn't matter, we had a great time! Our class was fully booked, so there were four to a table. We each took turns and managed to get a strudel in the oven, along with Christmas cookies. And then goulash for lunch!! I would absolutely recommend this class to anyone of any age, whether you're interested in baking or not! Just go and have fun!!!

This cooking class was so much fun!! Everything was easy and the instructor was fun and relaxed. The lunch that was provided was DELICIOUS as well. Everyone was just chatty and having fun, would definitely do again!

This was a very fun and informative cooking class. You will definitely not leave hungry. We feasted on our freshly made Apple strudel, vanilla kipferls, and wonderful gulasch soup. Note, drinks are not included in the program price but are an additional charge. The drink selection is large and all are reasonably priced. We had a fun time making these delicious desserts, and feasting on our creations. There were plenty of leftovers which they packaged for us. Would definitely rate this as a priority when in Salzburg.

This class was fun and entertaining. I do feel it's extremely overpriced considering we don't really cook... All the ingredients are pre-chopped and premade. I understand dough needs to rest, but we could still go through the motions of preparing the dough as they do in other classes. It's essentially an assembly class. It was a fun class overall and the instructors were charming. Another note is they should ask people to not use phones during the dough portion of the class, because people kept using their phones after washing their hands and proceeded to work the dough.

A wonderful day for the whole family. The instructors were very knowledgeable and took their time to answer all the questions. The apple strudel was easy to make and we plan on making the dessert when we get home. The cookies were melt in your mouth delicious. The lunch was flavorful and filling. Highly recommend this experience, great family bonding time.

We had a great time making strudel and cookies. Met some very nice people and enjoyed learning how to make the strudel…surprisingly easy and delicious. Hoping to duplicate the process when we get back home!

Really good recipes and nice biscuits and strudel we made. Slick delivery but felt a little rushed at the end which was a shame. It was also a little bit of a shame that no drink was included at all as this made it quite expensive to make some biscuits and strudel. Even the “welcome” drink and the coffee cost more money which left a bit of a poor taste in the mouth. That being said it was a nice atmosphere other than that and the food we made (not the thin soup which counted as lunch) was nice.

I just loved this! The cooking school is very quaint. The instructor was great. Met some fun and interesting people (which I enjoyed as a solo traveler). Lunch was delicious and so were the cookies and strudel. Would highly recommend.

Unique setting to bake in, easy to follow and do, great result. Was most enjoyable. Cannot wait to try it at home.

Such a fun experience. The chef was very informative and friendly. We baked strudel and cookies. Had a delicious soup lunch while they were baking. Tasted our treats and brought our left overs home with us.

I have always wanted to do a strudel class when traveling to Austria but never made time until this trip. It was so much fun! A great hands on class. Our instructor was excellent and the instructions are actually quite simple. The finished product and lunch were perfect. I would highly recommend this class while in Salzburg.

Our family of 5 adults went to this cooking school yesterday and loved it. A nice relaxed fun event to do on our first day in Salzburg after an early start and long day travelling. Host chef was entertaining and jolly and the hands on lesson in stretching the waffer thin dough was something we look forward to trying back home. Fun class, nice food and is an event I positively recommend other travellers experience.
