We thought the highlight of the Salt Lake City Tour would be the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, but our Tour Guide Chris made the ENTIRE tour fabulous! Chris was so informative about the City of Salt Lake with history and update to date information, that we would HIGHLY recommend a tour with him. Thank you Viator for finding such a great tour with Chris #243.

Excellent tour! I loved seeing the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and learning about the city. I would suggest a 6 hour tour (instead of 5) because I did feel pressed for time at some of the attractions, exploring downtown, etc.

We were fortunate enough to be present for the TV production adding another dimension to the super fantastic performance of the choir and orchestra. Also enjoyed visiting the State Legislature building.

Wow, what an experience and a marvel that can NOT be missed!! It was great that there was a Las Vegas pick up since we didn't have or want to get transportation while in the city. The price was reasonable and it was well worth it and then some!! You will NOT be disappointed.

Had a great tour of the city and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Jim, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Saw the visitor center and gift shop. Unfortunately the video did not work, and the city hall building was under repair. Still
, I would recommend this tour.

Very nice bus tour of Salt Lake City. Very friendly and knowledgeable driver who did an excellent job of explaining the routes and viewpoints. An excellent driver also. The views and photos ops were plenty and very nice. The visit to the Mormon Tabernacle and performance was unforgettable. We got very nice seats and were very happy to have the opportunity to visit the old Tabernacle. It was a real treat. We also visited the Utah state capital and were able to tour the interior. What a fantastic building - and the view from the front was breathtaking. The tour wound up with a visit to a nice old town and visitor's center with gift shop.
Don't pass this tour up!

We took the Salt Lake City Tour which included hearing the Morman Tabernacle Choir on Sunday morning. Hearing the choir was one of the first things we did, and it was worth the cost of the tour. If you are fairly well-versed in choral music, you may want to take this tour rather than the Wednesday tour, which is listening to the choir rehearse. I guess it depends on your preferences, but I wanted to hear the finished product, not the rehearsal, and I was not disappointed. The rest of the tour was very informative, and we enjoyed it thoroughly. The lunch at the end is a buffet, a good choice when you have alot of different people to please. It was good food with many choices.

After the performance of Music and the written word our tour guide brought one of the choir singers, a lady named Carmen, to our bus and she spent about 10 minutes explaining her experience with the choir. A real pleasure.

This was an amazing tour. I knew very little of the history of SLC and the state. The visit to the state capitol was terrific, and of course, the rehearsal for the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. The guide was spectacular and could answer any question. He knew all about the medical advances developed by the University of Utah

The tour or overview of Salt Lake City and the Mormon Tabernacle Choir Rehearsal was excellent. If you are looking to gain a quick overview of Salt Lake City and get a true flavor of its history and its evolution to today this is the tour for you. We found it as an excellent introduction Salt Lake City. It gave us many ideas as to what we wanted to see more in depth during our stay. Simply stated the capital Building was extraordinary and our guide Jim made sure to allow us time to explore and take pictures during our stop there. The drive through the city, the university of Utah and Fort Douglas were informative and enlightening as Jim described events, and developments to Salt Lake City from its humblest of beginnings. This is the Place Park and reenactment center is a must to return to. One can truly get a feel for what life was like as the settlers tried to carve out their existence. Dinner at the Lion's house at your own expense was good old comfort food, well prepared and a friendly staff but don't be surprised by the cafeteria/buffet style service. Jim was excellent in that we had about 25 minutes before we needed to be at the Choirs rehearsal so he gave us time in Temple Square, what a serene place in the midst of the metropolis of Salt lake City. It will be an area we return to for further review.

We then went to the Conference Center where we were able to spend a little over an hour watching the rehearsal of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Outstanding does not do it justice and to be frank seeing the rehearsal, hearing and watching the directors changes and implementations was very interesting and unlike seeing a performance. The setting, the music and the singing were obviously world class and our entire group enjoyed it immensely. As an added delight for this evenings group we got to see Alex Boye perform with the Choir and he was a joy to listen to. Our return to our hotel pickup site went smoothly and quickly although we did drive through a seedier part of town, which is all too familiar in most large cities these days.

We rate this tour quite highly and would recommend it as an introduction to Salt Lake City.

I appreciated being picked up at my hotel. The tour guide was very nice and informative and was very considerate to everyone. Dinner on our own was very good and not expensive. The tour continued to the capital building and then to hear the Mormon Tabernacle Choir rehearsing, which was an outstanding experience. Between that, the scenery, history, etc., this was a very good tour.

An amazing concert. A must see and hear.
