Karim made the tour FUN! He was very knowledgeable and engaging-so much so it felt like each of us had a personal tour. PS, the wine was good too.

We had such a fun day with our guide Emily! She gave a great tour of St Emilion and 3 wineries, giving plenty advice on photo ops and lunch choices (duck burgers)!

Karim our guide gave an amazing tour, was knowledgeable in the history of Bordeaux + wine, paced the tour well and even made us play a fun game on our way back to the city to pass the traffic, really thoughtful. His English was really good too. The tour itself included 1) 10:00-1:30 two separate winery tours and tastings with generous portions (so make sure you have a big breakfast, don’t make the mistake we made); 2) 1:30-3:30 lunch and break on your own in St Emilion village; 3) 3:30-4:30 another tasting at a chateau. A nice Mercedes van fit a group of 3 couples for the entire tour.

This is a tour that you can't miss if you are a wine lover. I visited many wineries over the world (e.g., Rhone valley, Burgundy, Hunter Valley, Yarra Valley, Niagara on the lake, Napa Valley, Douro valley in Porto, Hokkaido in Japan, etc...). This is one of the most enjoyable tours. The tour guide Luigi is incredible. He is so knowledgeable in wine and accommodating. I made a remark on my booking saying that I wanted to visit Petrus. The 1st stop we went was Ch Petrus. He allowed ample time for is to take pictures and experience the terroir. He also stopped us by in many super famous chateau in Pomerol (e.g., Petrus, Le Pin) and Saint Emilion (e.g., Ausone, Pavie). This tour took us to a few chateau producing wine with special characters for tasting, which are not very commonly seen or available in the market. I felt no pressure to buy their wine after tasting but just felt being invited to appreciate their wines. The most exciting part was that he took me to taste vintage Armagnac 1977 and 1997 at a super good rate that I can never find in Hong Kong. We stopped at a very historical town to have a lunch there, which is just next to Ch Ausone. Lots of choices there and Luigi made very good recommendations for us..Most of all, the price of the lunch was very reasonable, given the quality of food. Having a glass of Saint Emilion with a dish of a Confit de Canard right in the middle of a medieval town, it was an amazing experience. On our way back, he arranged a smelling test for us to guess the food by smelling the essence oils. Although I have played this game for many times, I still found it very enjoyable hosted by Luigi. The only problem is that time is too short to enjoy so many things in a day. If you are a true wine lover (not a wine label lover) and have some background knowledge with wine, and you don't really want to spend a lot of money, you will find this tour amusing. Go with Luigi.

The tour was a wonderful experience and the guide, Emily, was wonderful, as well. The tour involved three different wineries featuring very different wines and terroir and a short tour of St. Emilion and time to walk around the town and have lunch on our own. The guides at each of the wineries were also very personable and knowledgeable and the owner of one of the wineries gave the tour at our last stop.

Julie was amazing! She gave us such an informative tour of Saint-Emilion and made us feel so comfortable. We’re wine lovers and visiting Bordeaux was one of our top wish list items. We learned so much and got to meet the wine maker. It was memorable.

Our tour guide Jerome was very welcoming, knowledgeable, and very engaging. He told us about the history of Bordeaux, information about the wineries, St. Emilion, insight into the wines and categories and kept us on schedule. This tour was the highlight of my weekend in Bordeaux. I would highly recommend this tour and Jerome as a guide. I wish I could have done another tour with him! I can't speak more highly of the experience!

Not what I expected - the first stop in Pomerol was, Chateau de Sales. They were in the throes of harvest, so we got to see the destemming process, and the barrel room which were interesting. We sampled two of their wines, then we were off to St. Emillion. We visited Chateau Gaudet , which was in the middle of town. We got some history about the winemaker and the family before going down to the cellars where bottles of wine were quite old and toured a small portion of the area. We were then whisked down the street to a wine shop that sold many different vintners wines. We sampled about seven different wines, while getting some education on the different varietals we tried. After sampling, we had about 2 hours to get lunch and explore the town of St. Emillion, which was very enjoyable. The last stop was not at all memorable and was basically a tasting room.

I am a solo traveler and rely upon tours to stay connected with people while exploring new places. I had such a wonderful day enhanced by the knowledge, experience and guidance of my tour guide Luigi. We visited 3 Chateaus and although there was a small glitch at one of them, Luigi handled it like a true professional. I only wish I had a little more time to spend in the town for shopping. However, now I have a reason to return and spend more time there. I will be back. Donna

Great wine tasting tour. Very informative too. My only suggestion would be to allow for more time in Saint Emilion. A beautiful place to explore!

This was a very nice all-day trip with a knowledgeable guide, albeit on the expensive side. We went to 3 wineries and tasted some delicious wine. Lunch was on our own. We had a similar day trip the next day with a private sommelier, and were able to taste wine from some "first growth vineyards".

Our guide, Luigi, was excellent. He was knowledgeable, personable and professional. The “chateaus” were well chosen, all offering something different. The last chateau stop was surprisingly informative with an emphasis on the microclimate and plant itself. A wonderful day trip!

We had Helene as a tour guide and her knowledge of wines and wine making was astounding, we had a really great experience - toured multiple vineyards and also had unscheduled stops (like peeking at Petrus) - I highly recommend this tour.
