Savannah Explorers exceeded my expectations. We were met outside passport control by our driver and guide for the week, Gerry. Gerry was with us for the entire duration of our 7 night/6 day trip. He was full of knowledge about all the animals in the park. He made it his mission to find the “Big Five”. His navigation skills were exemplary. We felt very safe knowing that if there was a problem, there wasn’t, Gerry would know how to handle it. This was my first safari and first time in Tanzania. I can’t imagine going on a safari with any other company.

My experience with Savannah Explorer was wonderful. They are very friendly, honest and detail oriented guides. They look at your needs and situations and prepare a great itinerary that perfectly match your requirements. Just to give you an example of their honesty. We made a booking 4 years ago, paid percentage of required amount and cancelled it due to covid. Unbelievably they gave us full credit for that amount 4 years later. Managers are friendly and ready to help. Our tour guide, Ismael, was extremely knowledgeable of the areas and knew how to find wildlife. He was patient and very polite. In my opinion, they are great. You do not need to look further

We booked the Ngorongoro and Serengeti Safari during our Tanzania honeymoon. We have been blessed to have had Emmanuel as our guide for the whole week. He picked us up at the airport on day one and his smile made us immediately feel us home. He has been knowledgeable about Tanzania territory, history and culture, and answered patiently all our (many many) questions. During the Safari he showed competence over all animals (not just the large ones) but all species, showing us the descriptions in his book and how to recognize females and males. He drove professionally and proved to excel also whereas many other drivers failed (e.g. in the mud or over the rivers). He has been flexible for every request we had (to stop or to see a specific animal) and had great connections with the other guides so he could always be on top of things and showed us many animals. Finally, one night in Serengeti on top of his regular job, he volunteered to help another car that just had an engine problem and went on a mission to rescue the other tourists. He came back to the camp at 3 am and was ready in the early morning to escort us for another safari drive for the day. Make sure the agency books Emmanuel for an unforgettable and fun trip. We had the time of our lives!

The organization for the trip was perfect. The sleeping locations were of really high standard: clean and well furnished. The staff was friendly and professional. The tour guide (who spoke perfect English and Italian) was extremely prepared to answer any question asked related to their culture, the animals and the landscape seen.

This was my second safari to Tarangire, Serengeti, Nundutu and Ngorongoro. Our experience with Savannah Explorers Ltd was FAR superior than with the previous company I traveled with. Savannah Explorers are very professional, experienced and offer a high quality service. My contact with Agustin, our tour coordinator, was very friendly, responsive, helpful and knowledgeable. Organizing and booking the safari with Agustin and Savannah Explorers was very efficient and easy. The actual safari was a OUTSTANDING adventure and experience due to the EXCELLENT guide service we received from Everest Kilevo (aka Dancing Mountain) who is very knowledgeable about the geography, flora and fauna of each park. I’m a zoologist (ethologist) and have high expectations of my guides. Everest has a very sharp eye and knowledge of where to find the most elusive and difficult to find species. Thanks to him we were able to spot 11 rhinos, 4 cheetah families, 2 leopards, rare birds, amongst other species. Everest goes beyond expectations to make sure we maximized the possibility and quality of these sightings. Everest was very patient with our need to observe, photograph and film the multitude of species that we found. In addition Everest has a great personality, charm and very friendly communication. Everest is also a very professional and careful driver who handled the varied road conditions very well. If we have the opportunity to do another safari to other parks in Tanzania I will chose with no reservations Savannah Explorers and ask specifically for Everest as our guide. Savannah explorers is absolutely trustworthy and organised. The aspect which really made the difference was our guide Thomas. He was extremely active, passionate, enthusiast and well prepared. Speaking great Italian (including also some idioms) has a deep knowledge about animals, plants, routes to take, suggestions for the visitors. Absolutely available, always ready to help you, guide you and above all always smiling. I highly recommend your tour with him.

Our 6D5N safari was an exhilarating journey through some of Africa's most iconic landscapes. From the sprawling plains of the Serengeti to the breathtaking vistas of Ngorongoro Crater, each day offered unforgettable wildlife encounters. Trips like these are usually highly dependent on the guides. Jerry is the best there is! We marveled at the grace of cheetahs hiding in the plains, the majesty of lions napping on the trees, and the raw power of elephants grazing on the grass. Spotting elusive rhinos and witnessing the Great Migration were truly once-in-a-lifetime experiences. To cut a long story short, I cannot recommend the trip enough. We are blessed with cherished memories that will last a lifetime.

It was absolutely fabulous 6 days of being in the amazing world of wildlife, nature and breathtaking landscapes ! Our experienced guide Emanuel Msangi did amazing job tracking all possible animals, sharing with us useful information and we just spent great time together. The lodges were really top places, beautifully located, very comfortable including pool swimmingand we felt so much cared by the staff and could relax so well. The bush camp in the Serengeti National Park among roaring lions was superb experience and our kids loved it. Generally HAKUNA MATATA - no worries at all , we just purely enjoyed every day ! Now we can come back to our best memories browsing over 4000 photos we made :) Asante Sana !

Great experience, the car was in very good conditions but the real game changer was our amazing guide Isaac Long, whose experience led us to see the most rare and amazing animals. He was always up to make our wish come true and very patient with all the questions we had. He loves his job and show it every step of the way! Thanks again Isaac

We had an unforgettable safari. Our guide Nick was very knowledgeable and very friendly. The planning phase was also very smooth with all the concerns adequately addressed.

We planned this to be our once in a lifetime trip to Africa, but our experience was so amazing, we are already planning to return. Our guide, Gerry, made sure to maximize our experience by taking us to parts of each park that other guides didn't bother with. As a result, we came across a lion kill, a pride of lions with cubs, a leopard with its kill in the tree, and so much more!! I learned about the animals, plants, and culture of Tanzania, and we stayed in the most amazing accommodations! I loved the personalization of the private tours.! Esperienza spettacolare Isaya è una guida bravissima, paziente e esaudisce i tuoi desideri. Non si ferma mai. Guida tante ore per portarti in posti meravigliosi. Abbiamo visto elefanti, leoni, leonesse, giraffe, ghepardi, ghepardi che hanno ucciso uno gnu, ippopotami, zebre, gnu, impala, gazzelle, antilopi, leopardo sull'albero, iena e molto altro. Quest'anno il meteo non aiuta ma Isaya è simply the Best! Wonderful experience. Isaya is a great guide, patient and always try to make your dreams come true. He never stops. He drives many hours to bring you to fantastic places. We saw elephants, lions, cheetahs, cheetahs killing wildebeest, hyppos, zebra, wildebeest, impala, antelope, leopardo on the tree, and more.. This year the Western makes safari not very easy but Isaya is simply the Best!

Awesome experience and an amazing guide, Gerry (would give home more stars if I could). The entire trip exceeded expectations and felt like we became good friends with Gerry. His knowledge of the parks and animals we saw was truly impressive. Was supposed to be a once in a lifetime trip, but already planning on coming back and will definitely request my new brother to guide.

A brilliant experience from initial enquiry to the completion of our adventures. Thank you to Agustin for putting up with all our queries all of which were answered very quickly. The safari itself was amazing, we saw the big 5 on two consecutive days. Thomas (Uncle T) our guide was brilliant, showing us not only the big animals but also a wide variety of the smaller ones. Going out of his way to find us the best viewing angles and photographic opportunities that everyone that goes on safari craves. Highlights include the big 5, a rare sighting of a caracal, hyenas feasting on a hippo carcass floating in the soda lake at Ngorogoro and lots of birds. Another experience was walking with the bushmen of Lake Eyasi and seeing how they live and going on a hunt with them and then trying to learn how to shoot their bows and arrows (not at animals). Yet another highlight was a visit to an independent coffee plantation where they showed us the traditional ways of roasting coffee. Thanks to Philipo and his wife, "mama coffee", for showing us around and brewing the best coffee we've tasted in a long time. the lodges we stayed in Ngorogoro Manera Mountain View Lodge and Serengeti Kifaru Tented Lodge were wonderful places to stay. The food was brilliant with plenty of choice and the rooms very spacious. If you're thinking of a safari in Tanzania you'll not go wrong with booking with Savannah Explorers. We had an incredible experience with our tour guide Timba. Timba was extremely knowledgeable and fun tour guide, who was always super kind to us and very patient in answering our every single question. We were able to see so many amazing animals very close up, and even many rare ones, thanks all to Timba's incredible skills, knowledge, and experience as a tour guide. Augstin, who helped coordinate the whole trip was also very helpful in understanding our needs and giving helpful recommendations. Everything was smooth and I would highly recommend Savannah Exlporers!

A Fantastic safari from start to finish. Our guide Thomas (uncle T) was amazing his knowledge about the animals and history of the areas is phenomenal. We where lucky enough to see the big 5 twice. The trip around Serengeti and Ngorongor amazed us. We have been through lovely 6 days with our good guide Gary, who was working hard and searching animals during safari. To our surprise, we saw all the big five and many cute lions like around number of 40.
