This experience was an absolute delight! Our host Lina was the star of the experience. Her knowledge about rum production and Colombian chocolate was impressive, but it was her passion and enthusiasm that really made it special. Lina guided us through a thoughtfully curated selection of rums and chocolates, explaining the nuances and flavor profiles of each pairing. Her stories about the history of rum in Colombia added another layer of richness to the experience. If you're looking for a unique and delicious way to explore Cartagena's flavors, this tour is a must. And be sure to ask for Lina – she'll make your experience unforgettable!

American tourists with some cultural background, this is what you do. Save your $75 and you go buy yourself 6 small bottles of rum. Read aloud the brand, origin and alcohol % content. Then eat a piece of chocolate after you drink each bottle. Except for the venue, you just got the same experience. They pretend to know, but they have very limited knowledge on how rum is distilled or what ingredients trigger flavor and aromas. For $75 US which is like $300 locally in buying power you expect a deep cultural class. Then once drunk, get tricked into purchasing merchandise like $40 for a t-shirt to help the "local artist" aka the owner. I would have provided a less harsh review but they doubled down on my critique, and that is what broke the camels back. If I get another twisted defensive response I will keep going in every platform.

What an incredible experience!! This was much more than just drinking rum and eating chocolate. The owner and employees were AMAZING! We didn’t want to leave. The pours were a good size, the chocolate was delicious. We learned so much. Would def reccomend!!!

This tour was amazing. Renato was very professional and descriptive of each rum and the chocolate was amazing. The fun part was getting to make our own rum drink! So much fun. We left feeling real good if you know what I mean LOL Thanks Renato and his team!

We had a great time learning about and tasting Colombian rums. Renato is very knowledgeable and personable. We felt very welcomed. The tasting was relaxed and felt like a casual get-together with friends. I strongly recommend this experience while in Cartagena.

Renato was informative and charming. The whole evening was fun and extremely smooth. Meeting other participants (which was encouraged) was also very enjoyable. We had dinner before this event at Cafe Lunartico (very enjoyable) and used this event as dessert

We had a great time with Renato. I went with a group of 4 and we met a couple and a solo traveler. Renato creates an open and friendly environment that made it easy for everyone to chat and connect. The samples presented were great and did an amazing job to illustrate the different types of rum and how they are made. I learned a lot about Colombian rum production and walked away from the experience warm and satisfied, for more than one reason! I would recommend this experience to anyone who is visiting Cartagena.

Renato was amazing. We learned so much about rum and how it is made. The rum and chocolate were delicious. We ate dinner at the restaurant after the tour and the food was terriffic.

Renato was great. Very nice, knowledgeable and welcoming. The the tasting included more varieties of both chocolate and rum than I expected. We were also shown a simple rum cocktail recipe to make at home and given a lot of good recommendations for our trip.

This is a great experience for anyone even if you're not a rum drinker. I enjoyed everything from the history, conversation, different rums and chocolates. My sister, who doesn't drink, also enjoyed the experience and tried all the rums. The host and the place was great!

This was such a fun experience! Renato was amazing! He was very welcoming, personable and knowledgeable. We tasted 6-7 different rums & had about 10 different chocolates to pair with. He educated us on each rum, the history of them and allowed us to attempt to identify the flavors. The whole class was mingling and enjoying it together. Top 2 experiences!

This was a great activity- I'm so glad my travel companion found it and booked it! We really enjoyed learning more about the history of rum, but also other cultural history as well. Renato was a lot of fun as a host, very knowledgeable and engaging, and really fun to learn from. Our class included a few folks who were traveling alone or traveling with friends. It's a great class, very welcoming and fun, for anyone. You taste quite a bit of liquor, so I'd definitely recommend eating a full dinner ahead of time. We ate at Lunatico before the class, which was a great choice. It was great to watch the sunset and see the fort and monastery light up as we were dining.
