Amazing tour! Luis was so informative Learned so much about the run making process. And we were treated so well!

We wanted to visit a Rum distillery and tasting. Our driver Sandro knew a tour guild at Ron Barcelona and booked us a tour. We purchased the $30 tour and Sergio was our guide. It was by far the Best tasting tour I’ve ever been on. Such a clean and nice distillery and facility. Our guide Sergio was so knowledgeable and nice. I would Highly recommend this tour. The prices on their Rum is better than anywhere else.

We booked out trip thru Sandro Moreno our driver, who was fantastic. We enjoyed the tour very much. Our guide was Sergio who explained the process to us and was a fantastic guide. We had a delicious mixed drink while going through the museum. We tasted 5 rums at the end. The rums for sale had great pricing. This was one of the best rum tours I've ever taken. They explained the process and you got to see the plant and bottling as well as quality control. Thanks Sergio for the great tour.

This is a great tour to do when you're in the capital or La Romana. We booked over the phone the day before and got there in a car rental. We had a great time learning so much about the distillery and the history. In addition, we were able to try the rum and got to try a delicious mixed drink. I recommend you wear sunscreen and wear a hat since the sun can be very strong when you're outside during parts of the tour. The tour ends at the gift shop where you get great deals on bottles and other souvenirs.

An amazing experience. We went without a reservation during a weekday and the staff was very welcoming from the second we drove into their parking. I believe our tour guide was Jean Carlos, great experience for the price and you get to shop around for liquor at the end of the tour

We were accommodated by Sergio over the phone for a last minute booking. At reception, Juan Carlos gave us a personal guided and well informed tour around their processes and warehouses. We visited the museum for a film with a delicious rum cocktail. His English is great - much better than our Spanish. Generous rum tastings at the bar ended the tour in style. The different rums are superb to try. The new Porto rum is incredible - a must try! The shop was well stocked and cheaper than the supermarkets, so get yours there! Needless to say we bought quite a few bottles to take home. A wonderful trip with a great host. Thank you for being so welcoming 😀

Oh my goodness! We had a great experience with Luis. There were no reservations available, so we chanced there might be something and drove over. The security guard was able to get us a tour and it was just the two of us! Luis had wonderful English and was so, so knowledgeable! The flight tasting was so good that we bought several bottles to carry home. Especially the ones not exported to the US. Would do this again!

We absolutely loved this tour. We did not have reservations, but the schedule allowed the staff to be very accommodating. I recommend reservations though. Luis is a phenomenal tour guide. 10/10 recommend!

Luis our guide was absolutely amazing! He was super friendly and very knowledgeable about the warehouse and even let us try the Imperial Maple Casket… very delicious! We’re definitely glad we booked it!

Completed this tour in mid-May 2023. As an English-only speaker I was worried that the tour would be in Spanish and then have to be translated through friends making the experience less than optimal for me and my friends. However, Jean-Carlos (our tour guide) spoke a few languages and made the experience very enjoyable. The tour itself was wonderful as they took us through the entire process of aging the rum to bottling and packing. We got the history of the family and nuances to how and why they did certain things in their process. Was a wonderful experience that I would recommend to all who can get out to the factory.

It was quick and informative. Maybe a bit too quick. We toured through three different areas of the manufacturing facilities and the last part was a video followed by shots. I wish we could have been more interactive. The drinks are great, but the guy didn’t know his stuff that well.

Sergio was amazing!!! Best tour guide ever. He was funny and welcoming. Very knowledgeable. Overall the staff was amazing. Drinks were good too!!! So historical and cultural.

The tour was breathtaking. This is a must see for everyone who visits our country and for locals too. To me it was like to take a trip to my roots, being from Dominican Republic and see those iconic commercials from the 90's, definitely made me cry. Our tour was very informative, with lots of history, and we were treated like royalty. Special thanks to Mrs. Gissel Henriquez, and our amazing guide Sergio!!!. Definitely a 100% recommended.

My girlfriend and I recently toured the entire grounds from start to finish. Our tour guide was Sergio whose knowledge was so insightful, it was like a history book come to life! You’ll be exposed to the family history, see and learn about the first tools used to turn sugarcane into rum, the process used to age the barrels and how they are actually sealed, the assembly line of the factory, and closing with a tasting!

I loved all the detailed information about the history of rhum and how is produced by Barcelo. The guide Jiancarlo was very kind and knowledgeable. I loved I could taste 4 different rhums. Finally, Security staff helped me to find transportation to go back to San Pedro.

What a great way to see how rum is made and the history of the Barcelo company is incredible. The Team of Jiancarlo Castro, Sergio, Simon, Luis and Jorge made sure our visit was memorable....and the RUM was awesome!

Wow! What a great tour. Very informative and educational. We are, now, enlightened regarding how rum is made at one of the best factories in the Dominican Republic. Very clean and efficient. Now if they can figure out how to recycle bottles, they would be unstoppable! Luis was a great guide and his English is very good! Keep up the great work on producing one of the best rums in the world!!!🥴

I've been to several rum factories in the DR and outside, but this has been the best tour I ever got. Juan Miguel is extremely knowledgable, there is not one question in his area he was not able to answer. Besides that, he makes the tour fun and enjoyable. Thank you so much for this experience!
