This was hands down the best tour we did in our two weeks in Italy. We absolutely LOVED this tour and our guide, Rocio, was the BEST!! She was so insightful and my husband and I loved having her as our guide through the awesome neighborhood of Trastevere. We ended up having no one else on our tour so we were able to see and EAT so much and it was all so delicious. We had the best time on this tour and I would highly recommend it to other people who are looking for a fun experience in this neighborhood and wanting to learn more while eating and drinking their way through it! We can't wait to do other tours with this company. My husband and I had traveled to Rome twice prior to this trip, but we never had a chance to get to Trastevere. What a treat! Not only is the area incredibly cool, but so was our guide, Rocio. We learned so much about this neighborhood, and Rocio's stops were so unique! Walking through the Trastevere neighbourhood, in Rome, with Rocio, was indeed an experience, as we met Secret Food Tours local guide, and well as a group of interesting people. Rocio is extremely nice and engaging as well as fun, and she gave us details about food and wine, that were tasted along the way. I enjoyed particularly the smoked pork on bread and the variety of cheeses and jam in two of the stops and believe, after the tasting, that the diversity of samples is one of the keys of the tour’s success. The setting of the tour is also an asset, if one thinks that, in the evening, we came acroos a lively neighbourhood, with outdoor dining spaces, tourists and even came across a jazz live concert. I would definetly recomend it!
