We very much enjoyed the ride. Max adjusted the pace and route to fit our abilities. We did the ride through the park and crossed over into Switzerland. The views were spectacular. We both enjoyed the experience and I would highly recommend this ride.

So happy and grateful that I did the Ghisallo climb with Como Bike tour Team. Thanks to Max and Loranzo who were so professional and encourage me to do it. We started at como than Nesso,Bellagio Ghisallo (climb). There, we saw the iconic Madonna del ghisallo (church). Than we return back to como. I can't wait to come back to Italy and ride more with them.

Max provided a perfect tour weaving in and out of Italy and Switzerland. He is a great guide and makes you feel very comfortable right from the beginning. There are a lot of questions when traveling to another country - will the bike fit, will the terrain be manageable, will the guide provide a route I want....all 100% met.

Beautiful itinerary - 60 km road cycling around Lake Como and really well guided by Max. I would consider myself a beginner in road biking and Max adapted very well to my pace and gave me some useful tips. I’m sure this is worth and suitable for all levels. You can even choose different bikes. He also explained and highlighted many beautiful spots around the lake. Such a beautiful day!

Como bike tours is definitely the right choice if you want the perfect day riding to Ghisallo and Sormano from Como. For me it was a dream come true and I could not be more pleased with the professionalism from the lead guide and owner Max. His expert route guidance, advice and pacing helped ensure every detail on our ride was perfect. I had only one day this year and maybe ever for this ride to happen and I could not be more happy with my choice to hire Como Bike Tours for this especially challenging route.

Perfect guided tour from Max! Lets you know about this and that you will see passing through the villages or landscapes. He also takes care on your pace, give's you the opportunity to ride some parts on your own pace. Highly recommended for any tours in the greater area of Como!

The guide , Max, was very good and tailored the ride to our abilities. We ended up going for a 20 mile tour up hilly terrain thru vineyards to the Swiss border. We both are relatively fit. The original tour should mention it is 40 miles as 2 of our people decided not to go due to the length. We used E-bikes for the 20 miles tour which made the hills very easy.

I would highly recommend Como Bike Tours after my experience and can be a great option for a wide range of fitness levels. The tour guide Max was all around fantastic. He was very accommodating and flexible to optimize the ride details and logistics to maximize my experience. I booked tours on back to back days to get some quality riding in while I was traveling for work and away from my bike. My wife was able to join the trip at the last minute and updating the reservation was very easy. Como had heavy rain the first morning and Max did a great job of communicating and adjusting our start time and were lucky to be able to ride later in the day despite the weather. The routes were well planned and was some of the most picturesque riding I have done around the world. I had thought about renting a bike and riding on my own but was glad I had booked the guide to help navigate the routes and traffic. The trip ended up being exactly what I was hoping for and a great all-around experience!

I really enjoyed my bike tour around Lake Como with Max! We rode up into the mountains and crossed the border into Switzerland which was really cool. It was great seeing the lake from the mountains, wonderful views and a great overall experience.

Max was a great tour guide - he communicated well with us as ride day approached and let us know what to expect and where to meet. He gave us a good pace and showed us some great places to take photos. The bikes provided are nice carbon-fiber swiss made. We are fairly experienced cyclists but don't haven't cycled in Italy before. This was an exciting ride with lots of curves and a couple of small climbs. There is a fair amount of traffic, but the cars were very courteous as there are a lot of bikes on the road. This ride was a highlight of our trip to Italy and I would do it again in a heartbeat - if you enjoy cycling and are in Como, do this ride.

To preface, Lake Como is somewhat of a mecca for cycling. You'll notice a plethora of cyclist on the road when you visit and for good reason, Lake Como is host to miles of beautifully paved roads and climbs with some of the most spectacular scenery you've ever seen. I am a intermediate cyclist, started about 3 months ago and ride about 60 miles per week with a decent amount of climbing. I had some reservations about cycling in the area since the roads were so narrow but decided to just go for it since I figured it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. I called a bunch of the local bike shops last second hoping to squeeze a ride in. Max from Como Bike Tours was extremely responsive and made arrangements to meet the next morning with a bike in my size. I met Max at 9am the next morning at a local bike shop where he got my bike setup and provided me with a bunch of gear. We got started riding the main freeway along the lake with Max leading the way. Max took the lead, let me draft off him, and used hand signals to point out road hazards(potholes, cracks) and any oncoming traffic we needed to avoid. This was impressive considering we were probably riding at 20mph on narrow roads with little or no shoulder. Despite having some reservations initially, I immediately felt comfortable with him leading the way! Max then took me off the main freeway through some beautiful little villas which were perched right up against the lake on some cliffs. We then rejoined back to the main freeway and started climbing toward Switzerland. Our first climb was through farm-country with amazing green rolling hills, and ended in a small mountain village with cobblestone roads. We then proceeded to climb to the top of Balcone d'Italia, through more small villages and beautiful hills. The last leg of the climb was tough but well worth it, the view from the top of Balcone d'Italia looking down at lake lugo is worth a million bucks! Finally we descended down the Switzerland-side through some steep mountain roads which ran through more small towns. Eventually we rode back around Lake Lugo back toward Lake Como. Despite being 4 hours into our tour, Max offered to make a detour through some swiss vineyards, but I had to attend a wedding later that day and sadly had to decline. I couldn't recommend Como Bike Tours enough! As a cyclist, I'm not sure if I'll ever have the opportunity again to ride somewhere this scenic, every corner and turn was a postcard. I can see why cycling is such a large part of the culture in Como. If you have a chance, I encourage you to give them a call and setup a tour, there really isn't a better way to explore and see the area!
