One of our best excursions so far this trip. The staff were amazing, supportive, helpful and exceptionally entertaining. The river passage was scenic and interesting. The village visit was informative and not intrusive on the village residents. The lunch was fantastic but the highlights were both the waterfall and the tube ride. Thoroughly recommend this trip. If you are coming from the Nadi area hotels, be aware that it is a 3 hour drive each way and make the most out of that time, either from your driver who can give you facts on landmarks you pass or take headphones for music or a book to read.

Core memories made yesterday 🌴 A day spent on the Navua River. Boating, waterfall swim, village tour, lunch and tubing on the rapids 🛶🧡 Hard to explain in word just how special it was and lovely the people were, especially Peter and Rosie who took care of our young so. when he wasn’t feeling well. Their care, respect and kindness is something we will never forget. Cannot recommend this tour enough. A little bit of everything for the day, so much fun and such knowledge passed on to all.

It was an amazing experience for our family plus a friend visiting from Sydney. Our hearts are full, definitely an experience like no other! Imagine traversing a long wide river with clear waters, surrounded by lush green mountain then you hear birds on the side plus the gushing water from waterfalls almost on every kilometer! Then you get to peek an authentic Fijian culture thru the visit on a secluded village, have lunch near the river, jump off cliffs on a giant waterfall, go down in rapids thru a tube! Highlights was at the end, when the crew started hymn singing in harmony - in the middle of this beautiful scenery! Acoustics was something! We had to close our eyes, and just seize that moment! The experience was just really heartfelt and amazing! Kudos!

If you are in Fiji, and you do nothing else, this trip is a must! Suitable for people of all ages, the kids are absolutely treasured, and my friends and I felt confident that we and their kids were in safe hands! A small tip from all of us: Wear your bathers under the clothes you’re going to the village in, for a quick transition from village to waterfall swim and take a dry set of clothes in your bag to change into for the end of the day. There is a changing area with lockers at the drop/pick up point. This activity/tour is in the rainy side of the island and we went on a day that rained . Not one person had regrets! It a day out that your going to get wet in anyway! Wooden boats took us along the river to a village that isn’t accessible by road. The river surrounds are just magic! The village welcomed us, educated us with an awesome sense of humour, and had a short but beautiful ceremony for donations people brought. I didn’t learn about the donations aspect until I was there, so best email the tour operator to find out what would be best/useful to the families in the village if you’d like to donate. You must remove your hat when out of the boat and walking into the village. For women- a sarong (and tshirt depending how you wear it) is compulsory or a dress. If you forget a sarong or don’t have one, you can buy it at the drop off point like or wrap your towel around your waist. After a short time in the village, we were back in the boats and taken to a waterfall for swimming and photo opportunity. The tour’s photographer caught some great snaps and they will give you access to these via a link (a small fee of $20 Fijian) They provided a HUGE tasty lunch which was very well organised before the tubing!.. We were briefed, and then able to were able to choose to ‘link up’ or go solo down the river. The fun and games that everyone had while tubing was hilarious. The guides have a great sense of humour and without spoiling it for you, they stop the shenanigans sometime during the tubing to share something incredibly special. It was a full day out and well worth it. An absolute Fiji highlight! Many thanks to Lucy, Ali and the team for a memorable day out that my friends and I will talk about for many years to come.

Long drive to the destination but so worth it! The people were accommodating and so genuine, as is everyone in Fiji. It was raining a lot on the trip- some people complained but we loved every moment. It is what you make it. Singing and dancing in the rain our kids had a blast. The waterfall was spectacular and the people in the village were welcoming and lovely. Oh and the BBQ lunch, wow! The river tubing itself was relaxing, the boys sang traditional Fijian songs while drifting and the rapids weren’t too strong but still powerful enough to be fun. Overall, an epic day!

What an amazing experience. Beautiful scenery, fun guides, lovely natural village trip (nothing fancy for tourists). Great fun in the tubes. I highly recommend this trip.

The highlight of my Fiji trip The most beautiful experience, floating down the river, watching the waterfalls and all the guide starting singing in their native tongue. Was so surreal. We were lucky enough to visit the village on Sunday which is the most scared day in Fiji. It was a beautiful thing to be allowed to do.

These guys were great. Run professionally, funny, great voices (they were singing as we tubed down the river) was so surreal, we always felt safe with our 2 year tubing with us. Really good experience and it’s run by locals. The waterfall swim was memorable along with the village visit. They say not to take your phone, but if you can tie it to your wrist then go for it on the tube. Otherwise you can leave in a plastic bag on the boat. Great family day.

We had a wonderful day , my son has a walking disability and wears AFOS it was fine for him to walk up to the waterfalls and take them off and go for a swim - they carried him on their shoulders on way back down and really looked out for him and us. It was magical floating down the tubes on the big river , the Fijians sang and splashed each other laughed we all created memories for a lifetime . Thank you to all our guides but especially Simmy and William who went the extra mile for us - Simmy’s laugh!!! hilarious xx

My wife and I really enjoyed this experience. The highlights for me were the waterfall swim and the tubing. During the innertube ride, the staff sang Fijian songs in 3 part harmony. It was very soulful and made my day.

What an incredible experience. We felt like we saw the real Fiji and her people. The scenery, experiences and food were amazing. But the most notable, was the staff and crew. They were so knowledgeable and organized. Safety was also a dominant force. Ty (forgive my spelling!) was interested in us and always helpful. It wasn’t an easy excursion, I’m 70. But I was encouraged and helped and so successful. Thank you River Tubing. You have a wonderful team and a grand adventure. Well worth the time and money

It was a great day, from pickup to return. The scenery on the boat ride was phenomenal. Visiting the village was a great experience. The swim at the waterfall was refreshing and beautiful. The lunch provided was lovely. The River tubing itself was amazing, a once-in-a-lifetime experience. All the guides were super friendly, and the photos available for purchase were well worth it.

This trip was better than we could have imagined! My husband and I took our 3 peanuts (12, 10, and 8 years) and we all had an amazing time. Our guide Dougy was SO awesome and engaging! He shared with us local traditions and customs and how people in some of the smaller and more remote villages live. We loved the boat ride up through the beautiful landscape, visiting the village of Sabata, the amazingly delicious lunch (our 3 picky eaters LOVED the chicken and said it was the best they’d ever had!), and inner tubing down the rapids. One of my most favorite moments I’ll never forget is while floating downstream together, all the guides began singing song after song in beautiful harmony in Fijian. It was beautiful and a moment I’ll recall years from now. Thank you so much Dougy and friends for making this trip so memorable!

This is the most exciting adventure, one you don't want to miss, after a ride in a vehicle you are greeted by the River tubing people, given a run down of the day, morning tea is on supply you carry your Tube to a long boat and very exciting go up the river, you come to a real Fijian Village, experience a culture talk, then return to the Long Boat to the magnificent Waterfall, after a walk to the waterfall,( this can be slippery, not for the people who need a walking stick etc) you will experience the most magnificent site, this huge towering waterfall greats you, there you take a swim in the cool fresh water. After that you return to the long boat for a stop for lunch, then you get into the Tubes and float down the River over Rapids, a truly wonderful experience, you then get the long boat back to the start, afternoon tea supplied then the car ride back to your starting point

Do this tour, you won’t be disappointed. Even our teenagers (13 and 16) loved it. We went in thinking it was river tubing - it’s so much more. It’s immersion into Fijian culture, by way of visiting a remote Fijian village, and also by joining the tour operator’s family for the day. The big boss on our trip was Auntie Rosie, and all the boat drivers and tour guides are her nieces and nephews. At the beginning of the day she mentioned that we were joining her family, and she meant it. By the time we left we felt like we were part of their extended family. The visit to Sabata was so eye opening. It’s a 30-person village way up in the hills, only accessible by long boat. The people were very welcoming and very willing to share their way of life with us. Auntie Rosie, having grown up in a similar village, explained everything, for example, how the children share a school between six similar villages, but they stay at the school all week because the rains/flooding make it too unpredictable to transit back and forth each day. She also explained many of the natural remedies they utilize. After the village we visited a beautiful waterfall, where we were able to take a refreshing swim in crystal clear water, go behind the water fall, and jump off of rocks into a deep pool just down stream from the waterfall. Then there was an authentic and delicious Fijian picnic lunch on the bank of the river. After lunch we got into our tubes and floated down stream most of the way back to where we had departed from. We got back in the long boats for just a few minutes to make it all the way back. The scenery was breathtaking everywhere you looked - lush green rainforest, waterfalls everywhere, rock cliffs . . . it’s no wonder the movie Anaconda 2 was filmed here. The day we went was after a week of constant rain. The river was high and muddy, but don’t let that discourage you one bit. It had no impact on our day. Pro tip: find Douglas, the family clown, and talk to home for a while. He’s a ton of fun.

Amazing day, great people running the tour and couldn’t have asked for a better experience from pickup to drop off. I’d highly recommend checking the river tubing out for yourself.
