Perfect English language tour guide. Very knowledgeable and compromised with the tour. It was amazing, practical and good use of areas to be visited, tasty and worth the price. Also if problem occur, immediately the guide resolves.

Our tour with Camila was truly incredible! The tour was really well though out and overall well-rounded - we went everywhere from Copacabana to Santa Teresa to the Centre. The care that Camila put into each food location/snack and how she ties it in with the history of Rio really made for an entertaining and immersive day. It was great because Camila went at our pace and engaged with us the whole day - asking questions, hearing our plans for Rio. This was great because she then had recommendations for us during the rest of the trip and also catered the tour information to our interests! I would highly recommend this tour and I encourage you to book it early in your trip to Rio!

Ramos was our guide, and we were the only couple on the tour. It was a walking tour and he thoroughly explained the culture surrounding the food and drinks of Brazil. It was comprehensive and gave us a greater understanding of Brazilian culture. It included varieties of fish at a local bar, delicious filet mignon and pineapple sandwiches, pastries from one of the oldest and historical cafes "Confeitaria Colombo", and ended with caipirinhas on the Escardari Selaron. This is a walking tour and be prepared for use of the metro and extensive walking. It is easily done and with the insight of Ramos and well worth the time and effort. I would highly recommend it, and ask for Ramos!

This tour brought us to local food and drink from all areas of Rio. These rich flavors, along with the histories of the neighborhoods, made for a full and memorable day. Our guide Camila was warm and welcoming; she knew the ins and outs of each neighborhood. We highly recommend.

Can we give Camila, our tour guide, 10 stars, 5 doesn't do her justice. Hands down, one of the most incredible tours we have ever done in all of our travels. Camila goes above and beyond to give you a personalized experience full of amazing food, Brazilian culture and overall a phenomenal day. We did a historical and gastronomy walking tour with Camila and it provided us with more than we anticipated. If you have the opportunity to tour with Camila, you will be as amazed as we are! True professional and a gracious hostess of Rio de Janeiro. Worth every penny and then some!

My partner and I went on this tour today with Camila, and we honestly can’t say anything bad about this tour! It made our experience in Rio FANTASTIC!!!! Camila is knowledgeable about this history of Brazil, and of all of the AMAZING food we ate and drank! She went out of her way to make sure we had a wonderful day! Seriously, if you are looking for an insiders view of Rio, and eat some SPECTACULAR food, look no further! This tour is the one for you! It felt like we went all over Rio in one day, and we ate our way through! Camila is wonderful and you are in GREAT hands with her! My partner and o have travelled to over 80 countries in the world so far, and have done a food type of tour in almost everyone, and this one is battling for the number one position. It was such a superb day that it may just edge out the tour we did in Istanbul. If you are coming to Rio, BOOK this tour!!!

Camila was an amazing tour guide. She is very knowledgeable and friendly. We viewed many beautiful local historical and cultural sites and tasted local food along the way including caipirinhas, pao con queijo, acai and other traditional foods. I was the only one booked for today and they still honored the tour which is amazing. Highly recommend!!

Today I was lucky to be the only participant on the Rio gastronomy culture and walking tour. My guide was Camila and I can honestly say the day was a fantastic, action-packed and inspiring experience with plenty of photo opportunities. Camila is an excellent guide, being a native of Rio and with a wide knowledge of the areas and culture around the city. Her English is perfect and she chats confidently and with pride about her home. I actually think Camila is one of the best guides I’ve met, and her enthusiasm and passion to make sure you have a good experience is commendable. The tour started early and we got straight into trying local food and drink in various cafes and restaurants Camila uses herself. Her choices were spot-on and I got to try snacks and drinks I’ve never had before, including açai, empanadas, Portuguese-inspired drinks and snacks and delicious cheese bread. Camila explained why she’d chosen each place and even bought me nuts and sweets from street vendors. I got to try cakes and pastries typical to Brazil and we even went to a coffee shop where I learnt how to drink coffee the Brazilian way! As well as food and drink, I got to experience the Rio subway which took us to old Rio, visiting the Portuguese Reading Library and we went on a trolley to what was the highlight of the day, Santa Teresa. Here we saw a favela, various buildings with different architectural styles and I visited a couple of really nice gift shops. We also had more snacks and I learnt loads about the neighbourhood. The tour also took us to the Selaron steps which was a fantastic experience and packed with information from Camila. I saw a monastery, plenty of street art, the Museum of Tomorrow, the Opera House and much more. Camila shared lots of details about local scenery and answered all of my questions. Hopefully I’ve got across how good this tour is, and I highly recommend you book it if you want to learn more about Rio’s culture and food. A brilliant day that has been the highlight of my time in Rio so far!

Rio Like a local. Make sure to do this as the first thing to do in Rio. The usual touristy stuff is easy to do but to see Rio with a true Cariocas is something different. A lot of the food and drinks we tried would be impossible to order as a tourist. We also did a few touristy stuff so its a good balance. There is a good amount of walking. This was a unique style of touring in my opinion. Highly Recommended.

We did this tour on our last day in Rio and it was by far the best part! It's obvious that Camila is a true Carioca at heart and truly loves her city. She was incredibly knowledgeable, has a huge heart, and knows all the best places to eat! We ate at some places we would never think to look and were introduced to some of the best food and culture Rio has to offer. We highly recommend everyone to take this tour and experience what it's like to be a Carioca for yourself!

Camila was instrumental in explaining every detail of landmarks in Rio. The food tour was well coordinated, and I got to try restaurants that only locals frequent. Really enjoyed the local delicacies that she recommended.

My husband and I got to Rio a day before our group tour was starting and decided to spend it eating the local foods. We expected a group of 6 or 8. Turned out to be just the 2 of us and Camila, our fabulous guide! We walked somewhat and sampled local treats. Since it was so hot, Camila got Ubers on a few of the excursions to get us from point A to point B. We started at 11A, and got back to our hotel around 5P! A full fun day! Not only did we see different neighborhoods and sample different foods, but Camila is a font of knowledge. We highly recommend this tour if you have a day to kill and like to eat!

Whenever we travel, we make a point to do a foodie tour - because what’s not to like?! We’ve had some bad tours and some “okay” ones, but Camilla’s tour was the best ever! I felt like we were being shown the city by an old friend with deep knowledge of her hometown! We made more than a half a dozen stops and everywhere we went - the local businesses knew Camilla! We started in copacabana area and worked our way across town - even taking the subway (very clean) to try some distant delectables or see a particular vista. The food sample were served up with a side of stories and insight into what we were eating - or where. We enjoyed the history as much as the snacks! We can’t recommend Camila enough, she was a delight!

Camila is a superguide. We visited a variety of local food spots, all good. She adapted to the diversity of our group’s capabilities walking and heat tolerance. We tasted açaí and cachaca also. Very knowledgeable about culture and history. I would very much recommend her!! It was a walking tour but we also took some taxis as people began to fade in the heat.

Our walking food tour of Rio de Janeiro was outstanding. My wife and I have taken food tours in major cities all over the world and this was the best. We like food tours because they give us a good introduction to the city, culture, history and, of course, local food and drinks. Camila, our guide, developed this tour after leading other tours for 10 years. Camila was born and raised in Rio de Janeiro, so the culture and food are part of her. She is enthusiastic about her city and culture and that enthusiasm is infectious, making for a wonderful day. Camila’s English is very good making understanding her easy. We started in the Copacabana neighborhood with several stops before driving to the central part of the city for many additional food, drink, and educational stops. We learned so much about the local food and culture. If you want to know Rio de Janeiro don’t miss Camila’s tour.

Our guide was on time and the meeting spot was easy to find. We were able to see so much of Rio including Copacabana, taking the subway to Lapa, and Santa Teresa. It was a food tour combined with a walking tour! Camila was wonderful and is a wealth of knowledge. Take this tour! Plan to spend about 6 hours and come with an empty belly.
