Went to olive factory for a quick tour. Fortunately, we had been to another more extensive tour as this is a brief one but good. Visited one of the oldest olive trees in Crete. Very impressive. The walk to the waterfall. Walk is mild challenging but not for you ger people. A walking stick is very helpful. Waterfall was small but pretty. The drive up/down was the crazy part. Stopped at a local restaurant with a great view. Wonderful local spread of food! Our guide was very knowledgeable. Michael picked us up, and I would have liked to have had him as a guide, but he had a different tour, and we switched. If you are here for a short visit, it's a great way to see a lot of Crete.

Great excursion, fantastic, most memorable day. Even better tour guide with Michael. The ruins and oldest olive tree were a true natural sight! Olive tree was so beautiful and a calm feeling around. What a day it was.. the meal at the taven was delicious, and I shall attempt baking the walnut syrup cake. Michael was an amazing tour guide. My partner accidentally dropped his phone out of his pocket at the ruins..and we searched and could not find it. Michael suggested waiting until sun down and looking on the mountain in the dark! We returned, and my partner was so stressed. A little while later, Michael found it about 20 feet away from where we were! What a genuine kind person, literally can not believe the day happened. We spent 15 hours in the end with Michael and met a lovely German lady too. Would i return? Yes! Even just to see Michael again. He truly looked after us. Thank you, Michael, God of the Mountains!

Thomas provided an amazing Cretan experience. He was incredibly knowledgeable about Crete history and culture. The drive in our Range Rover was comfortable, exhilarating and safe. He navigated the steep windy narrow road down and back up to the Richtis Gorge with comforting skill. The hike was beautiful and mildly challenging. Definitely wear secure and water safe shoes. The falls were a nice attraction running lightly in September. The ancient olive trees were interesting as was the olive oil tour. He added a lot of fascinating information as a long time local resident. Highly recommended. The lunch stop at the Panorama restaurant was delicious and authentic fresh local cuisine. The views were spectacular.

We really enjoyed our day to the Richtis Waterfall with our guide, Ralf. He was very friendly, knowledgable, enthusiastic and helpful. The lunch was delicious and was in a taverna with fantastic views over the bay. We would definitely use Adventure Crete again.

Me, my wife and 2 daughters had a fantastic day with Abel, the Adventure Crete driver, as we visited the Richtis Gorge waterfall, a lovely taverna for the inclusive Cretan lunch, the oldest olive tree in Crete, the Minoan ruins of Azoria and a tour of an olive oil factory. Able was both funny and informative, and was very helpful in all situations. His English and French were both very impressive and matched his knowledge of the places we visited. We would thoroughly recommend this trip to anyone who is capable of partaking in the gorge walk.

Second time we’ve used Adventure Crete for a tour and they didn’t disappoint. Our Guide Abel was very friendly and knowledgeable about everything from Ancient Greek history to local herbs and plants. The tour was not rushed and gave spectacular views. Highly recommended. Tip: Take flip flops along with swimming costume to waterfall as the pool bottom is very stoney.

If you’re looking for a more adventurous/ cultural experience in Crete, I’d highly recommend these tours! Had a lovely day of exploring the region, enjoying an authentic lunch at a taverna tucked away in the mountains, and hiking into the Sarakina Gorge. We were a small group of 5, lead by Eric who was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the area!

Recently returned from a week in Crete and utilised Adventure Crete to explore the island, history, culture, flora, fauna and food. Michael was so knowledgeable, friendly and great company and ensured you saw the best to be seen. The service was on time, the 4x4 clean well maintained and comfortable. The price good value and the Taverna selected were excellent with spotless restaurants and facilities. The waterfall is small but you get a chance to see a great part of Crete en route and if you are into Nature it ticks the box too.

Beautiful day. Guide was full of information and really friendly, wish we sat in front during the car journey to properly hear what he was saying. Waterfall was my favourite part, especially when the guide was showing us the wildlife and plants.

What an incredible day - our guide Rolf was brilliant , he was very knowledgable and great with our 5 year old daughter. The drive off road down to the gorge was really good fun with breathtaking views - we loved the walk through the jungle to get to the most amazing waterfall where we had a swim and took some great photographs - Rolf was brilliant with our daughter climbing over the rocks and scrambles. We then stopped at a beautiful taverna for lunch with an incredible view before heading to see the oldest olive tree on Crete - an amazing day with memories that will last forever

We had an amazing day with Michael, who was very knowledgeable about Greek history, very attentive to the groups needs and a lot of fun. The hike and the waterfall are beautiful. Good walking shoes and mobility are a must. Lunch and the view were amazing. We enjoyed samples of many local plates, wine and dessert with Raki. After lunch we explored more Minoan ruins and an olive oil factory. Thank you again for a fabulous day!

This was the second adventure tour during our stay in Crete. This was my favourite. Our guide, Emmanuel was very entertaining! The hike to the waterfall was the best part. Too cold to swim in May, but a great photo op. In a perfect world, I'd like a shorter tour. Say...5 hours? We were picked up promptly at our hotel at 8:30 a.m. We picked up one other couple and that was it. Really liked the small sized group. The only complaint I have is the length of time until you eat at the restaurant and the lack of a bathroom break. The meal at the taverna is at the end of the tour and my sons and I were famished by 3 p.m.! Fortunately, for this second tour, I brought a protein bar. Without that nourishment, the hike would have been tough. I think it's also unreasonable to think all your passengers can wait 6 or 7 hours to pee! If you are drinking lots of water to prevent dehydration, then you do the math!

Tour guide Emmanuel was hilarious and made the tour very enjoyable. The local taverna for lunch was great and the waterfall hike was really neat. Only suggestion would be to keep the total tour length a bit shorter and to stop at the taverna for food after the main activity (waterfall hike) instead of at the very end of tour

Great tour hosted by Petra. The waterfall is beautiful very cold water - wear trainers for gorge walk and take some flip flops! Petra was very knowledgeable and told us many facts about the beautiful island of Crete. She is also a great driver - really important on the trip up and down to the gorge. Lovely lunch with fab views - recommended.

Excellent, we were happy with everything. Why bother to fight with steep road with hired car when you can relax and admire views? Dip into waterfall it`s worth it!
