Red Sea Snorkeling from Hurghada

Very well-organised from start to finish. Pick-up from our hotel arrived on time and took us to the dock where we boarded the boat after collecting complimentary equipment. The guys on board were super friendly and kept the children on the tour amused by making funny headgear from beach towels! We were clearly briefed on what to expect and the crew spoke multiple languages very impressively. The first snorkelling site was about an hour out to sea and immediately we got in the water we were surrounded by hundreds of beautiful exotic fish- our guide, Shark, even showed off an enormous eel. The fish were completely at ease with the humans and swam right up to and all around us. After a 45 min swim we got back on the boat and travelled a short distance to the next site where we were again surrounded by all sorts of sea creatures. Lunch was served on the boat after that and was delicious with a good variety of different dishes. After lunch the boat stopped at Giftun Island, where we were able to spend the time however we chose, sunbathing or swimming. There was plenty of coral with gorgeous fish just a few steps into the ocean and miles of white sand beaches so, even though there were many tour boats and tourists, it didnt feel crowded or overly busy. On the trip back we were invited to view the pictures the crew/ guides had taken throughout the day: although we were encouraged to buy the CDs of photos I didnt feel under pressure and chose not to make a purchase. On landing, our transport was waiting to take us back to our hotel. We were very pleased with the whole experience and would definitely recommend it.

Brilliant trip well worth it

It was a fantastic day. Starting with the transfer from the hotel to the friendliness and helpfulness of the guides and boat staff. Lunch was delicious. The 3 stops breath taking. My son panicked, but was helped by 1 of the instructors and had a great day. We would go on this tour again.

This trip was amazing. The people were polite + friendly. We visted Giftun Island for 1 hour and then two snorkelling spots for 45 mins or so each. Even down to the photographer who asked if we were a couple (being gay we were hesitant..) said yes and he smiled and said hold hands for a photo.. A++

I was picked up at my hotel in the morning after which I was given snorkelling gear and I spent a whole day on the water. We snorkelled for around 45 minutes each at 2 different reefs with lots of fish and beautiful coral and in the afternoon we made a 1 hour stop on Giftun island. On the way back to Hurghada we saw a group of dolphins as well. Lunch was good and coffee, tea and softdrinks were all included. I found the staff to be very helpful and friendly. Overall this tour was excellent value for money.

Beautiful day trip to Giftun Island. Amazing snorkelling in the beautiful Red Sea. We saw dolphins and turtles in the wild on the way too - added bonus. Great value for money.

Brilliant trip. All snorkelling equipment supplied, all you had to bring was a towel. Taxi picked us up from our hotel. Boat crew very friendly and helpful in and out of the water. Stopped twice for snorkelling and once for a beach stop wear sandals as the beach has a lot of stones . Had lunch on the boat. Highly recommend this trip.

Loved this trip... The staff were amazing and really took care of us onboard. Lunch was to die for and plenty of it!! All in all, a really lovely day and would recommend to anyone :-)

From booking this trip online to pick up from the hotel everything was fantastic , so glad i booked it . The day was great the guide talked you through everything on the boat before we stopped and explained things. My only moan is that our pick up back to the hotel when the trip had finished didnt turn up so a taxi had to be arranged to take us back.

Excellent trip. Really enjoyed the day. The rep didn't speak much English which was a pity. This did lead to some confusion regarding what was going on at times. However he was helpful having said that. Would I recommend this trip. YES. A great day out and very relaxing.

Slight confusion with the transport on collection from our hotel but after 15 minutes this was resolved. The trip itself was absolutely amazing and words cant describe the experience my family and I endured. Our boat and the staff on board were exceptional. the lunch provided was fresh and plentiful too. As for the beach and sea we were stunned at how clear the waters were. Snorkelling was out of this world and to see such variety of fish swimming freely at your feet and some even at my side was just brilliant and well worth every penny. Would recommend this trip to all. Couldn't fault it !!!

Great day out and well worth the money. The staff were great and so was the food. The trip was actually longer than expected thoroughly enjoyed the day out and to top it all we saw quite a lot of dolphins which was a bonus.

You MUST use Viator for booking any activity abroad. We have just returned from Egypt (01/04/2014) after booking a snorkelling trip with Viator before we left for our holiday. EVERYTHING went like clockwork, communication was 5 star both from Viator and the Company that took us snorkelling in Egypt. Highly recommended. Joe and Glenda Molloy, Pwllheli, North Wales.

This was the best day we spent on our holiday. The boat and crew were all so friendly and welcoming, the boat was great fun and the snorkelling was out of this world. We saw so many varieties of fish it was incredible. An amazing trip.

After a shaky start from our hotel concerning the pick up (which wasn't Viator's fault - in fact the driver spent extra time looking for us!) - we only had a few pick ups - before we arrived at the boats - sorting out who was on which boat was a bit chaotic but it was finally sorted - off we went - the boat was clean and the crew really friendly - although there was no sign of life jackets and there was no safety briefing!
The day was great fun - we went to 3 different sites for snorkelling - and even managed to see a turtle! - the last snorkelling site was a tad manic and over populated by snorkellers. Lunch was fish with salad and pasta (we didn't eat as we had upset tummies - but everyone else was tucking in). The English on board were a minority (ie 3) but the crew made sure we were included. The loos were nice and clean too!
The crew made a DVD of our day but weren't pushy in making you buy one - and they asked for a tip at the end for the captain and boat staff - which was certainly earned.
Would thoroughly recommend this trip - especially with Viator - a lot cheaper than the hotels' reps are marketing and exactly the same.
This isn't the first trip I've booked with Viator and they never seem to disappoint.
