Sabrina is so passionate and knowledgeable!! She brought the history and to life. We enjoyed spending the afternoon with her. (Plus she's a dog liver like me and assisted me in a purchase).

Ravenna is an historic city in the northeast of the Republic of Italy. It's in Emilia Romagna province. Ancient Ravenna is notable for its ecclesiastical features, including the striking mosaics in the Church of San Vitale. The artistic mosaics in the Church of San Vitale are said to be the most beautiful feature of the City of Paradise. Ravenna is worth exploring on foot by out-of-town-visitors.

We had a wonderful morning in Ravenna. Our guide Ciara was lovely and imparted such knowledge and love of her city. The mosaics were beautiful. So glad we went.

Ravenna was a lovely town and a nice pace from the busy city we had come from. The mosaics are gorgeous. My 18 year old was thrilled to visit Dante's tomb. Our guide was great and she even gave great suggestions on how to spend the remainder of our day. Since it was just the 4 of us with the guide, we were able to move at our own pace. It was also a highlight to see someone working on a mosaic in their shop.

Rosanna was an incredible guide. Her knowledge of history, art, geography and more was amazing and very helpful. But what made her so incredible is her willingness to adapt to our group. She showed us the important sites and explained them in terms we could all understand and find interesting. And then she took us to places and had us experience sites, smells and tastes that are uniquely Ravenna and ideal for what we wanted to see and do. I would not only recommend Rosanna as a guide, I would absolutely hire her again myself every time I visit Ravenna.

My wife and I were lucky enough to go on this tour yesterday. Our guide, Claudia, was amazing. Her knowledge and passion for the mosaics and Ravenna history was obvious. Wonderful 2.5 hour private tour of key mosaics with guide Marina who was very knowledgeable and patiently explained things in excellent English. She also phoned to confirm the meeting point and start time about an hour in advance, a nice gesture. The mosaics are frankly breathtaking (also at least 1500 years old) and Marina was able to tell us about the historical background to Ravenna and the part it played in the post Roman period as a dominant city in various eras. In addition to the advertised fee there was a further €11.50 per person to cover admission fees to the different sights. Ravenna is a small town, the centre is easily walkable in 10mins from the railway station and everywhere on the tour is no more than 5/10 mins from the main square.
