Our local guide was fantastic. She covered some history of the area and completely explained the nature of the penguins.

Great trip. Very clear communication and joining instructions. Our guide gave us lots of information on the way there and ensured we were back in good time for our cruise ship departure. Good standard of transportation.

I only booked the day before and was worried I would not be picked up. No issues there communication was great and Cecilia and Marten were waiting at the pier entrance of Porto Madryn. We travelled about 2 hours stopped at the largest dinosaur replica and the Welsh town sign of Trelew. The penguin colony was amaizing we walked through the colony on wooden decks and were able to view and photograph the penguins in front of us. We were given a generous 1:30 hours which was enough to walk all the way to the sea where we watched the younger penguins frolic whilst their parents were shedding their feathers in preparation for their migration. We were given a generous lunchbox on the way back freshly made. I encourage you to do the trip if walking is an issue you can do half the walk which is enough to see most of the penguins. Just loved it my best trip on this holiday for wildlife. Our guide Cecilia was generous with her time and very informative. The travelling time was well worth it.

Was a long drive (2.5 hr one way) but had a great time Our guide, Mariana was enthusiastic. Lunch was great but two sandwiches per person was a bit too much.

Booked last minute as cruise trip to penguins was full. Very efficient immediate confirm with time to meet the group at the end of the pier which was ahead of time the ship groups left and reassured about being back in time. The guide was super excellent, very knowledgeable and went the extra mile with a city tour on way back. We'd already done the Welsh tea trip as ship arrived early as Falklands too windy to land and so glad we binned on the sea lion trip to see the penguins and gaunacos instead.

We had a brilliant trip, saw lots of penguins. Our guide Marianne was fantastic, very informative and lots of fun. The bus ride was comfortable and an excellent boxed lunch was provided. Mariana our bilingual guide very informative interesting and jovial throughout. This was important as we knew drive was two and half hours there and same back including brief comfort and other visiting stops. Two hour stay at Nature Reserve enjoyable and not overly crowded

Our guide with Animal Tours did a very good job of explaining not just Punta Tombo, but the areas that we passed on our way there like Terlew and the dinosaur statue. She knew we were tired on the way back, so she gave us some quiet time. The box lunch was very good. The journey to get to Punta Tombo and back is quite long (five hours), but that couldn't be helped.

It was amazing! One in a lifetime experience. We thought we were going to see only a few penguins but we ended up seeing hundreds. We also saw guanacos and other animals that are unique to this region. For weather reasons, we arrived one day earlier than planned so Animal Travel were nice enough to move our reservation up and it was a gift! We were in no rush so we had time to really absorb the place and all the magical fauna in the area. Adriana, our tour guide, and René, the bus driver are amazing and they always went above and beyond. We stopped to see a replica of the largest dinosaur ever lived and take pictures. This excursion is a must for sure and it is worth every minute of the five hour trip (2.5 hours each way).

What an incredible experience to visit the Punta Tombo penguin colony. Thousands of penguins were at the site and everywhere you turned, you got to experience penguin behaviors. Our guide, Ugo, did an amazing job explaining what makes Patagonia in general so amazing and particularly the Puerto Madryn area. His explanation of what we would see was incredibly accurate - at this time of year it was penguins in various stages of molting and young penguins getting ready to begin venturing out to sea. Along the drive, he pointed out several Rhea and Guanaca. As the tour is long, a great boxed lunch was provided. Definitely do not hesitate to book with this company.

We had a fabulous trip. Our guide was waiting at the end of the pier to pick us up. Van was clean and comfortable. Our driver was excellent and our guide knowledgeable. We had a lady in a wheelchair and they continually showed kindness and empathy to her and helped her enjoy her day. I have no hesitation recommending Animal Tours particularly for shore excursions

This was such a wonderful place to visit. There were literally penguins everywhere! We also saw rheas and guanacos. Our guide, Nani, was very knowledgeable.

We were so glad we pre booked this tour as we were on a cruise with time constraints. We were met at the dock and the tour started promptly - 8 of us in a mini bus. It’s a long drive but our excellent guide, Hugo, entertained and educated us. The Punta Tombo reserve exceeded expectations. There were thousands of Magellanic penguins and one could get very close to them .

Interacting with thousands of penguins of all ages and sizes up close like we were family. Our tour guide and driver were awesome and quite knowledgeable. The only problem was the lunch, really poorly prepared and not tasty.

We had the pleasure of taking a tour with Animal to see the penguins at Punto Tombo. Great day out in the terrific company of Mariana who gave us great insights into life and times in Patagonia. Luckily we had lovely weather to fully enjoy the sight and habitat of the Megellanic penguins. Completely recommend this tour.
