A great day fishing, we did a six hour trip and it was fantastic,Andy the first mate was brilliant, we managed to catch 6 fish which was a good result. Highly recommend

Went on this with my three children. We enjoyed the trip and got three mahi mahi. Professionell and good.

From dealing with Viator to make the reservation Yustas to work out details to Juno picking us up, Ange our first mate and Captain Richard keeping us on the fish to Max dropping us off it was professional, courteous and fun. We brought in 7 big Mahi Mahi and a barracuda. Captain Richard was finding the fish and Ange kept us in a position to bring them in. We landed 8 of 11. Will only fish with Sherlock II in Punta Cana. Also Captain Richard filleted some Mahi for us to bring back to our Resort Excellence El Carmen where Chef Robert prepared the Mahi 4 ways for us. It was incredible. He Beat Bobby Flay! Overall great experience.

Even though the fishing was slow, Andy provided great conversation and Captain Richard, spotted wales and brought us closer so we could see them.

We have been on this charter twice, and had a good time on both occasions. The hotel pick up is very convenient. While the accommodations on the boat are basic, the service was always good and the crew are knowledgeable and we were fortunate enough to catch fish on both trips. I strongly recommended that you request to have some of your catch cooked up at the local beach front restaurant (for a fee paid to the restaurant). Fresh dorado cooked the same day is exceptionally good eating.

What an incredible day on August 17, 2023! We caught a dozen mahi mahi and a barracuda and lost two more mahi. Andy the deckhand was one of the best I've ever had in probably 20 charter experiences. And Captain Richard put us right on top of the fish. Couldn't find a marlin, but we had an absolute blast reeling in up to 34 inch mahis, with 4 doubles adding to the fun! Can't wait to go back out with these guys again when I'm back in town!

The captain was very knowledgeable and nice. He made our trip very pleasant and helped us all catch great finds- mahi mahi and a big blue marlin!

First mate Louie and Captain Richard were very knowledgeable and worked hard to put us on fish. Unfortunately the fish wouldn’t cooperate and we only caught 2 mahi mahi and 3 barracudas. That’s part of fishing though, when the fish were biting they worked hard to ensure we landed them. I would definitely go back.

Very fun fishing experience! Transportation pickup to/from resort to fishing was very easy and had no worries. The Capt and 1st mate were very professional and made our experience one were we would book again. They put us on 2 Barracuder and a respectable Wahoo. The water was a bit choppy so we cut our trip an hour early. I would definitely recommend the Sherlock 2 for your next trip - Salute!

Fantastic fishing trip for my husband and 16 yo son. My daughter and I had a beach day as we get seasick, but my husband and son thoroughly enjoyed their fishing charter! The crew was great, and the captain knew just where to go to catch fish! My boys had a blast catching 11 dorado, then eating their catch for lunch! It was the highlight of their trip to Punta Cana! Highly recommend!

I went on a six hour trip last week during my honeymoon, and was left very unimpressed. I have been fishing across the globe, in a variety of settings from a wooden boat in the Amazon to high end charters in Florida. That being said, the catch is never guaranteed. What makes a great charter, no matter the success, is when real effort is shown. Minimal effort was shown on my trip with BMC. We left at about 7am, a late start, and drove straight to a collection of man made bouys the “local fishermen use and protect”, and proceeded to run a figure 8 around for 5 hours. Not a single other boat, of which there were many, even visited the area until one briefly made an appearance. We saw no bait, no birds, no sign of activity, and I noticed our captain never even called any other captains to see what activity may have been happening that day or changed our tactics in the least. When I am told that the captains are the best in the business, I expect them to at least do their due diligence and try different options to find some measure of success, or speak to the client. Instead, we did what appeared to be the most cost effective approach for the operation, and not what lends the best chances for success. Simply put, I would not suggest this charter to a friend, family or go again with them myself. As for the positives, the first mate was very nice and made good conversation with the little enthusiasm that was had. We liked him well enough, though we aren’t sure he really knew fishing in the area like you would hope. “I trust the captain” isn’t a great line if the boat is sinking!

It was a great fishing trip. Great atmosphere, the boat crew made a great setting for our trip. Andrew was very attentive and caring. I recommend you definitely try this experience with this boat - they are the best

Well run. Our First Mate was wonderful. Lots of knowledge about the island. We were not lucky on catching anything other than one small Mahi Mahi. But still had a good time.

Just want to say that the trip itself is ok, I booked a full day 9 hour effective trip was promised. Wel, my fishing trip was from 8Am till 3Pm so to hours short... Just tell the people the truth next time please.
