We learned new things about pasta and pugliesi culture and got hands on training in making orecchiette and sauces to go with it. The meal was delicious and the ladies worked very hard to accomodate everyone. We also enjoyed learning more about the trulli houses. It was an enjoyable day and we recommend it!

Wonderful host who made us feel very welcome, we were actually there just over 5 hours making the sauces, pasta, looking over her garden, Trulli and hearing the history of the area, for food as well as the house. 10 of us in total, another English family and 2 Dutch ladies, and we all had a lovely experience - thank you

This was a really great experience. Different from other cooking classes we've done as it was a larger group (approx. 13) but it worked well. Much of the time was spent making the Orecchiette pasta and practicing the technique, while Simona relayed the history of Puglia, regional pasta shapes and what sauces can and more importantly cannot be served together. The class location is at her farm, where she lives in a trullo house and she provided a great explanation of the significance and history of the traditional dwelling. Simona is a really down to earth, easy person and is a wealth of information.

Great experience with Simone and her family. Not only learned about Puglia cooking but also about its history.

It was an unpleasent experience. There were far too many people (25 in a small place for approx. 10-12 people) and the course took too long. It was indicated with 4.5h but we finished „lunch“ after 6h! The food was not what we expected, as example anchovies in the pasta sauce (not everyone likes this ingredient). On top there was noted in the description that wine is included but we didn‘t received any up to the end of the class (maybe 1 glass). The only positive thing was the mother of the host who was lovely and charming. Unfortunately we don’t recommend it.

Not only did we learn about making the typical pasta of Puglia, we learned about the history of Puglia, got to see the inside of a trullo and become better acquainted with the Italian’s love affair with food. Then a great luncheon with lots of fellow travelers.

Thanks to Simona for being excellent host and we enjoyed an all day pasta making experience in her trulli. Simona and her mum really brought to life pugluan food and culture. Definitely recommend.

Hugely fun & enjoyable class hosted by Simona - we made orrechiette, learnt about regional pastas & toured her trulli home. Four of us joined the class - including our teenage sons who also had great fun - & it was a great way to share experiences and meet people of all nationalities. Class was held outside (under shade) & our lunch was delicious!

Imagine yourself immersed into the Puglian countryside with a friendly knowledgeable local lady…and then have some wonderful local food… This was immense…Simona was lovely and a great hostess. The cooking was hands on and we went away with some great memories and useful knowledge.

A good traditional cooking class. Simona has extensive knowledge of the puglia region and the pasta types associated. In our experience the class size was too big (22 in our group) and the vibe wasn’t quite there. At times it felt long and tiresome as we continuously made the same shape of pasta, it would of be fitted from drinks and music throughout the day instead of 1 glass of wine at the end. Still an enjoyable day

This was amazing. Great value for money, lovely food and wine. The time just flew by with Simone who was such a generous host. So much more than a cooking class!

We had an excellent day with Simona at her trullo. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience of making pasta and hearing more about the history of the area. As a family of 4 (2 teenage boys) we were part of a group of 13, The food we prepared was delicious and the whole experience has given us a very happy holiday memory. We felt it was good value, a really fun experience and would definitely recommend (even the teenage boys really enjoyed it).

Simona was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot. I thought 21 pax was a bit many for the area. Making the pasta was great but became a little boring after a while. Otherwise we’ll done.

Simona did a fantastic job. It was an amazing day, full of laughter, good food and great learnings how to make pasta. She also did a small tour of her house, which is a trullo (tipical tiny house of this region). I would definitely recommend you to join this cooking class.
