Edwin and his team were so very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and we really enjoyed just learning the history of Puerto Plata. We did the city tour, took us to various shops, and perfect photo opt areas, like umbrella street. They took pictures for us, and waited while we did our thing on the cable car tour....which we appreciated so much! We had an absolute blast! The cable car is a def MUST! THE scenery is spectacular! We felt safe and they will definitely be a repeat customers. HIGHLY SUGGESTED! Prices are very resonable as well! 🙌🏽

This is a long day but very interesting and filled with activity. Floricel is a wonderful tour guide giving you history information, keeping the group together, and with a keen sense of humor. A visit to the city center gives you a feel for the city. Tours of the chocolate and rum factories are so enjoyable. A visit to the fortress gives you great views but none like the cable car ride to the top of a mountain. Diego is an excellent driver and you will enjoy being led by Floricel.

We explore the city were able to taste 6 different types of rums from the Macorix factory our driver was very friendly and knowledgeable he also spoke 5 languages

The city tour was amazing with Edwin! Knew the history and didn't rush the tour. Provided a great experience and took pictures. Everything was as expected!

Edwin and his staff are great! We were dumb and didn't account for the port being as long as it was and we ended up being a few minutes late and missed the van (probably because we only booked it the day before and weren't on the official list of guests). There was someone right at the entrance that called Edwin for us and he actually came and picked us up himself and gave us a mini tour of the area while he drove us to meet up with the rest of the group at the Chocolovers store. He was so nice and friendly! The taste testing was great and anything we purchased, they kept in a cooler on the van so nothing melted. Then our guide, Fransisco took us on a walking tour of a few highlights of the city (Umbrella street, pink street, Cathedral San Felipe, monsenor de puerto plata cigar shop, Fort San Felipe) As we were walking, we even picked some rose apples to try off a tree. We also did a tasting at the Macorix House of Rum. Fransisco was great the whole time! He was very lively, always willing to take a pic for us and knew pretty much everyone in town. It was cool going into some of the places that I would have never tried myself. The only small disappointing thing was going to the Chocolovers store instead of the chocolate factory itself, but that could have been due to time constraints or something like that. Still totally worth the money and the 5 stars!! ☆☆☆☆☆

Very nice trip to see most of what PP has to offer, rum, chocolate, cigars, Old Town. Cable car is something everyone needs to experience when visited. Very well organized, friendly tour guide and driver

Our tour was with Destination Services. We enjoyed our tour very much. The cable car was probably our favorite part of the tour. It was a little disappointing, due to the weather the views were not quite as we had expected them to be. But no one can control the weather! The extremely pushy sales people were, an unfortunate con to this tour. There were a lot of extremely insistent sales people at many of our stops. If you are not intending to purchase anything, this may not be the tour for you. We visited a rum factory, which handed out lots of samples, a chocolate factory that handed some samples a jewelry factory that really really really wanted you to pay a lot of money for some jewelry, and a cigar factory that really wanted us to purchase cigars. It was very interesting to watch the process and procedures for making all the different items we were able to see it would be nicer if the sales people were not quite so in your face. The sales people at the top of the cable car ride, and at the fort were by far the worst. Our tour guide was Rosie, and he was fantastic! He spoke multiple languages, and was able to provide information for each traveler in the language they were most comfortable with. Our driver was Victor, and he was fantastic, especially considering how crazy the traffic seems to me with all the motorbike zipping about. One thing that I did not enjoy about the tour was unexpected time that felt wasted to me. The first complete our of the tour was simply riding the bus around to different resorts, picking up other tourists. We also were very late finishing the tour. This may have been because of all of us on the tour (people kept breaking off from the group…) The lunch was delicious and we were able to get pictures at all the Purrta Plata sites. Just be careful -if you don’t want to spend the entire day on a tour, it may not be the tour for you !

The city tour was so amazing. Edwin and Francisco made us feel safe during the tour. Next time we return, we will definitely be booking the Edwin Tours, and recommended to my family and friends as well.

Edwin was absolutely amazing! My family & I found a new family with him in DR! He was incredibly friendly and trustworthy. He answered questions to the best of his ability and was willing to go above & beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay the true Dominican way! I usually don’t leave reviews, but please trust me - Edwin is the one to trust when you visit. If you want to feel safe, call Edwin. & if you want really good food, he knows that too! 100/10 & I would definitely recommend!

The tours was great. My tour guide, Joel, was very patient to me. He’s not rushing me. He wanted to make every part of the itinerary very satisfying and memorable for first time visitors like me. He drove me to the Boulevard to see some local beach spots and where locals go for relaxation. Overall, top notch for the purpose of seeing and driving around the city of Puerto Plata. Highly recommended company for this tour.

Our tour guide and driver were great! They gave so much info and made sure we stuck together. One person wanted to go back to purchase something she had seen he said wait here stepped out yelled to someone down the street and the time was brought to her so he could make sure she was safe and not taken advantage of. 100% recommend Edwin tours.

This was a fun and diverse look at Puerto Plata, DR. Our guide Agustin led us expertly through traffic, the city and the sites. We toured Macorix House of Rum, the Umbrella street, Paseo de Dona Blanca, Catedral San Felipe, Foratleza San Felipe and a jewelry store as well as a chocolate store. It was a rainy day, but Agustin assured us it would clear up and it did! They also let us keep our purchases and belongings on the bus.

I booked last minute for this tour. My tour guide was Edwin. He kept in contact via whatsapp. I happened to be the only one on the tour, which was great. Edwin was my personal photographer. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely book again and recommend him to others.

We had Jose as our driver this day and he was great! Spoke great English and was very accommodating when we wanted to go out for authentic lunch after the tour! They picked us up at our resort right on-time at 9am. We started the tour with a tour of the rum factory Marcoix which was awesome! They even gave us a bunch of free samples at the end of the tour! Then we stopped at a chocolate factory. Then went to the San Felipe defence place (very cool) after that we went downtown Puerto Plata and walked around. He let us go into various little shops, a Catholic Church from the 1600s and a cigar lounge. We also went to umbrella Street and pink Street!!! It was all very relaxed and he let us choose where we were more or less going. Very professional had such a great time!! We even asked to stop to get authentic lunch on the way back to the resort and they made it happen for us! Edwin tours made our vacation nice and relaxing and lots of fun!!
