Terrible organization, lots of waiting around, see a few fish that you can see from shore. You speak with someone different every time so it’s easy for them to forego any responsibility. I paid a separate Uber just to GTFO of that hell hole.

Driver didn't come

The guides really tried hard, but it was still frightening and sad to see how gray the coral reef, which was in a nature reserve, was. You saw a lot of colorful fish.

It took a lot longer than promised our transportation was 40 minutes late on returning to the hotel. The snorkeling was fantastic but waaaaaaaay too short. Also it took very long time before we came to even the snorkeling.

I give 2 stars out of 5, no more (Extreme Adventure provider and Puerto Morelos Experience for snorkeling). The snorkeling is very good, but the provider is not at all clear with the rules of the activity. We were not allowed to use the go-pro because (without prior notice) they told us on the spot that the park guards did not allow it to be carried with the selfie stick, but only with the headband (???). Clearly, it is a strategy to sell you their photographic service, which by the way is quite expensive. Finally, once lunch was over, they forced us to return without respecting the free visit time to the town of Pto. Morelos that was provided for in the service. The Boquinete restaurant was ok, the food did not come in much quantity but it was very good. The transport was fine (it came to pick us up very close to our hotel), but, as I have already said, the times set for the visit were not respected.

We loved our Puerto Morales reef tour. Our guide Mike did a very professional job and we enjoyed all the little ones as well. We highly recommend this excursion.

Unfortunately I can't recommend it. It started with the fact that you are not allowed to use your own cameras or smartphones for filming. In principle, that was not a problem for us at first, because we had a great snorkeling trip at Total Snorkel Cancún and were able to collect a lot of video material there. But when it came to the reef, the drama began. I tried 3 different snorkel masks. Water ran into each one, the snorkel itself is also leaking. I have never been provided with such bad snorkeling equipment. No comparison to our great snorkeling trip in Cancún. The reef itself is in good general condition, we saw some colorful fish, an eagle ray and a smaller ray. The subsequent tequila tasting was fine. The 3 tacos in the restaurant as well. Our transfer bus was 10 minutes late and took 2 hours from Puerto Morelos to Cancún, a distance that you can do in 30 minutes, ridiculous.

The excursion was as advertised, but you would have to say beforehand that you are not allowed to take cameras with you. The price for the pictures taken by the photographer was ok, no rip-off. Like anywhere else
