Joaon was our guide and he was fantastic. He felt very comfortable with him. We did the three wine stops and tastings. He heard that we like tiles so he made a stop off the tour at a tile manufacturer which we really liked. A definite pro of a private tour and a flexible guide. Would highly recommend.

My husband and I spent a wonderful day with Ricardo exploring the Setubal wine region. We toured a beautiful winery and tasted wine chosen by Ricardo at the next stop. At the last location, we sampled more wine accompanied by a delicious charcuterie. We appreciated the hospitality shown by everyone we met. Thank you for a special day!

Our guide, Vasco picked up at the Lisbon cruise ship terminal for our private tour in the Setúbal wine region to the south. We visited 3 wineries for tastings and learned about Portuguese wine and wine making. As a bonus, we explored Palmela Castle (Castelo de Palmela), including the 15th century Church of Santiago. Vasco was very personable, knowledgeable and a great guide. We highly recommend Vasco and this tour!

What an amazing day we had with Paolo! If you are thinking about this experience don’t hesitate. It was fantastic. We would also encourage you to request Paolo. He has a passion for what he does and it was his energy and excitement that truly added to our experience. If you are offered the option of skipping one winery and substituting it with lunch, go for it. We had a delicious, authentic, memorable Portuguese meal without an additional cost. Paolo is a former chef, so he understands the importance of food and wine. 10 stars!!!!

What a great experience. Rod our guide picked us up right time at our hotel. He did an outstanding job of explaining the area the wineries we where going to visit. Our first stop was at Nose Maria da Fonseca. We had a great tour of the winery and then tasted three wines. The hounds and cellers were impressive. Next we stop in a cute twist Rota De Vi his, where we tasted 5 wines 2 whites and 3 reds. All of wines were excellent. Our last stop and my favorite was Adega D Pamela, we did a fantastic private tasting in their cellar. Rod explained wines, We also had a wonderful charcuterie plate with some of the best cheese I have ever tasted. Rod was able to get us a taste of their reserve red it was outstanding. We bought a bottle at each winery. If you are even thinking of doing this, ask for Rod, he was fantastic.

We had a fantastic day due entirely to the efforts of our guide Ricardo. He is passionate and knowledgeable about wine, Lisbon, and life. He put a lot of thought into choosing varied wines for us to try, as well as an excellent meal at a small family owned restaurant. He could not have been a more thoughtful, helpful and fun companion for the day.

Our wine tour of the Setúbal wine region of Portugal was fantastic. Our guide Riccardo was incredibly knowledgable and was an excellent conversationalist. He spoke with us about wine, Portugal, art and life. He catered the tour to our interests. I would absolutely recommend this experience to anyone interested in exploring Portuguese wines!

Rod was an awesome guide. We were able to visit 3 wineries at a leisurely pace. At the first winery, the staff gave the tour of the facility, while at the other two, Rod was able to guide us through the tastings. Rod explained the wines and various facts on the region. We had enjoyable and quite good wines. At the third vineyard we enjoyed a cheese and meat plate as well. We would highly recommend this tour!

We enjoyed getting into the countryside of Portugal. Our guide Rodrigo was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain to us in great detail about the wines in the area. We had a lunch as part of our tour, and it was nice to be in a local restaurant in a small village and eating local dishes. We enjoyed visiting the Jos Maria da Fonseca winery and the gardens and tasting their fine wines.

An amazing and enjoyable day being taken to 3 wineries and a local restaurant. Our guide Paulo soon discovered we were visiting from Scotland and enjoying Portugal for the first time focused the whole day ensuring that we experienced not only wonderful wine, but also introducing us to authentic local cuisine at its best. Not only did Paulo provide historical and cultural commentary, but, offered great insights in to the various wines we tasted. Paulo was a true gentleman who made sure the day was really enjoyable.

Paulo was our guide and he planned a great day for us. I loved that we visited some smaller towns for the local wineries. The highlight was stopping at a local small family restaurant and we had some real, authentic food. I highly recommend this tour.

This was one of our favorite activities during our stay in Lisbon. It is a private tour, so we had flexibility with what we did without having to consider what a group would have wanted to do. The tour is designed to visit 3 wineries, but we were given the option to visit only 2 and replace the 3rd with a traditional Portuguese lunch in a neighboring village. My advice, take that option. The lunch ended up being one of our favorite meals of our entire vacation. This was a small, family-owned restaurant where everything was FRESH and Mama did the cooking! Our guide Vasco was great! The wine was great! The meal was spectacular! Spend the money and take this tour - you won’t regret it!
