Oscar picked us up promptly and took us to meet our tour guide, Dimas. It was a scorcher and my daughter and I were almost regretting booking the tour but so happy we decided to brave the heat. Dimas was a wonderful guide and told us so much about the history of Getsemani. It's truly beautiful and despite the heat, we really enjoyed our tour.

Dimas was wonderful. He was warm and knowledgeable. He added personal stories and relevant history every few steps. He took us to the added places we requested and was a bright star for his community. Ask for Dimas if you book this tour.

This was a great introductory walk in the Walled City. Pro-tips: - bring bottled water with you. It's a sweaty experience first thing in the morning - Bring some tip money. there are some local palenqueras who would love to take photos with you as you learn about their history. a tip is appreciated by them. - tip your tour guide - take your time! it's a wonderful experience...you will be bombarded by street sellers...everywhere in Cartagena. "No, gracias" is totally ok.

The best guided tour I have ever taken. Our guide was so knowledgeable, accommodating, and patient. We saw a sloth with her baby in the trees, went through several market squares, saw the hanging umbrellas and flags, and so much more! I would recommend this tour operator to all of my friends.

My tour guide was knowledgeable and took time to explain in detail all the experience. Although I arrived late because my taxi dropped me at the wrong spot, the tour went well.

The tour as a whole wove in architecture, history, politics, foreign affairs, art, music and food all in one. It was an incredible experience and the key was our tireless guide’s devotion to and adoration for this community. It was truly a special experience.

We had the pleasure of having Evelyn as our guide and we had the best time! She was prompt in picking us up from our Airbnb and customizing our walking tour to our needs. She had the best recommendations for coffee, food, shopping, etc. We got to learn a lot of history and interesting facts around the walled city. Thank you again Evelyn for such a great day & being the best guide!

This tour was easy to arrange. We received information the day before our arrival in the cruise port as to where to meet and the name of our guide - Mercedes. A note- the Cartagena cruise port is one of the prettiest I have ever seen. When you get off the ship you are in a large, open air zoo- peacocks, parrots, beautiful trees. and you walk through a winding path to get to the exit- so give yourself a few extra minutes to take it all in. Continue to follow the exit signs, then you will be on a road, bear to the left and then you will see a busier road with a gas station visible. The guide will meet you at that corner, Mercedes had a sign with my name on it. The car was very comfortable for about a 10-15 minute ride to the old city. The tour began in areas of the old city where few tourists are present, and nobody from the ship. (there were 4 of us on this tour). The streets you amble through are amazing- and Mercedes tells you about the history of the city and the neighborhoods, where flowering plants are everywhere. Buying coconut on the way, we went to a larger city park where sloth, birds and monkeys are in the trees, and we all fed the monkeys some coconut. Winding through the streets you then enter the old walled city- much more of a tourist attraction and more crowded, but Mercedes navigated us through it with ease, pointing out all the sites. She knew the best places to buy chocolate, coffee (you are in Columbia!), fruit off the streets, and bathroom break when we needed it. The tour lasted about 3-4 hours, hard to say since it seemed to go by so quickly. A ride back to the ship is not included, but Mercedes called for us and we rode back about 20 minutes or so to the port ($10 total for 4 of us). This was a great tour, relaxed, informative, and a wonderful introduction to this city and country. Mercedes was an incredible tour guide. Helpful hints- it was hot (90's in early Feb, bring water, eat breakfast before the tour, although there are some light snacks, you won't get back on the ship until 1-1:30, later if you do other sightseeing)

I’m from Ohio, and this was my first time to Cartagena. This tour was AWESOME. Really really recommend to book this tour. My tour guide name was Alvaro and he was great!!! Request him for your tour, he went above and beyond to show me the city. Showed me all the good places to eat, and shop and where everything was I was looking for. I felt safe the entire time. Great tour to start your vacation so you know where everything is. Again, ask for Alvaro, he’s the best.

We had a great private tour of the walled city with Legaxy as our guide!! We took the trip the first day of our visit and learned so much about this wonderful and historic city. Legaxy is very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the centuries of history that define this unique city. His English is very good and the tour was a pleasure. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cartagena.

We enjoyed the vibrant colors of the buildings and the opportunity to explore the Old Town without getting lost. We did not like our guide trying to drum up business along the way. Twice he asked couples if they wanted to join us despite the fact that we had booked and paid for a 2-person private walking tour. We understood his need to make more money, but… Also, the tour was supposed to be from 9:00 to Noon, but he cut it short at 11:30. In all fairness, it was very hot and we did not mind going back early, and he did not charge us for the ride back to the ship. Since the return was not included in what we had paid, we can’t complain too much.

Mercedes gave an excellent tour and took us to see many great places and included side trips so that we had the opportunity to take some awesome photos. She provided an amazing amount of information. She helped us find a place to cool off indoors and get a drink when one of our group got too hot. Highly recommend this if you want a privacy tour for your small group.

Walking Tour was ok. We did get to see many areas of Old Cartagena. Though we did not make it to the Fort. Too much emphasis on Locals Artists. Local murals of Local Artists, etc. We did make a stop at Coffee Shop that had excellent coffee. Problem began with the ride back. Only pick up is included in price of tour. When we were asked if we wanted the same Driver to take us back to the ship, we said yes. When that Driver picked us up at the end, there was no mention of what the price would be. I know I shouldn't have assumed it would be comparable to Taxi Rates. Travel 101, always ask the price beforehand. At Drop Off, he was asking for $20US Dollars, which was Triple the cost of a Taxi. On Cabify App, Taxi with Tip included was less than $7.00US Dollars

We took the english walking tour with Wendy and it was amazing! She was so generous with her time, her infos, her kindness. She is very proud of her city and culture. Getsemani is an absolute gem and you can't go to Cartagena without visiting Getsemani. Wendy made us taste patacone con queso, lemonade and dessert. It was delicious! She also provided us with useful tips on how to behave and where to go. We recommended getting the tour in the very beginning of your vacations so that you know where to go again after. And we highly recommend Wendy of course! Don't forget to tip please!

This was a great way to start a trip in Cartagena and get to walk around the historic city and get acclimated. A car picked us up at our hotel. We went to the Clocktower, where we met Alvaro,. Alvaro was friendly and inviting and was a great host to take us around the city, showing us wildlife, tasting foods and drinks and giving us a history in a very energetic and fun way. don’t miss out on this trip to get familiar with this beautiful city and hopefully you’ll be lucky enough to get Alvaro as your host.

Legaxy was so amazing. The tour was very informative and customized to what our interests were. Legaxy is able to transition between both Spanish, English and Portuguese with such ease, it was a such a treat. He let us stop to try some local treats (which is appreciated by foodie lovers) and showed us the places most don’t get to see on the average tour of Cartagena. We were extremely impressed with his knowledge and retention of history. He is proud to be Colombian and it shows! We highly recommend this trip! As a travel advisor, I must say this was one of the best private tours I’ve taken. Real immersion, real historical context, and real good vibes! Thanks Legaxy!
