This was the worst ride experience we’ve ever had. The driver and the guide were unable to communicate. We ended up waiting outside on the street for over an hour while they tried to navigate traffic. The guide refused to listen to any request to make it easier to get the van. He often looked confused and refused to communicate to us what was going on. He asked locals which street we were on multiple times, despite the two street signs in front of us. Once the van finally arrived and we were on our way, they took a sketchy route into an area that was only marked as “parking”. We asked multiple times where he was taking us and he didn’t answer. Thankfully we eventually turned on to an arterial road but given how the trip started this definitely did not make us feel comfortable. Finally when we were dropped off the driver left without our bright pink luggage in the back. We had to run a few blocks after the van to retrieve of luggage. At no point in the journey did the guide take responsibility for his actions, he simply said it was out of their control. We disagree.

Gabriel was a great diver. Very pleasant and punctual as well. The drive was 4 hours and we also had another hour stop in Barranquilla by the water for lunch.

We booked this private transfer from Cartagena to Palomino. 100% recommend. The communication in advance was clear and thorough. The driver was early, polite, considerate, and pointed out interesting things along the way. When we hit an unexpected road blockade near the end and the SUV could go no further, he went to extra efforts to help arrange us a ride in a smaller vehicle so we could still reach our destination. Our driver William C was so so kind, was consistently helpful like for example in finding a great bathroom stop in Barranquilla, even shared cool information about the Colombian places we were passing when he noticed my interest, and was an all around great and safe driver. The trip from Cartagena to Santa Marta was great. It was hotel to hotel service and the driver was right on time for pickup. We also drove through Barranquilla to look at Ventana al Mundo and Gran Malecon. The ride was comfortable and there was conversation in broken Spanish. If I didn't know some Spanish, it would have been a quiet drive.

The driver was so nice and educated. He aso shared with us , the history and culture of every town we passed. We stopped to get food. I really enjoyed the ocean views .

Our driver showed up on time at our hotel. He was very friendly and we talked much of the 4 hour ride to Cartagena. We asked to stop for lunch in Barranquilla and it was no problem, and we stopped at a great lunch spot. Barranquilla was a good halfway point to anyone interested in taking this trip. From there, we went straight to our hotel in Santa Marta. Nice pleasant drive and our driver was a great guide and driver.
