Adrian was our driver and Pierina was our English speaking guide. Adrian is a careful and safe driver pointing out different features during the trip.Pierin gave a delightful narrative of the town and gaucho ranch, accompanied us around the ranch and helped us get comfortable mounting the horses. The horses are well trained, and delightful to ride. The ride on the pampas was about 40 minutes and a must do even for those who never rode a horse before. The Gauchos are very encouraging and caring. The meal was fantastic. Savory and accompanied by Malbec wine, great beer, or other beverages. The folk dance was a great time even as a participant. My wife and I enjoyed this trip emenvely!

What a great day out! Adrien our driver picked us up promptly for the 90 minute drive out of town where we were met by our guide Facu whose excellent English, detailed local knowledge and sense of humour meant that we had a really engaging walking tour of the town before driving out to the ranch. There, we had a really generous barbecue meal, a short horse ride, a gaucho riding display and a traditional music show, all of which we enjoyed. Overall, great value! Recommendations are to wear long trousers and long sleeves if the mozzies are out, and to arrive there hungry!

We are very satisfied with our trip. We were taken with a private comfortable car to San Antonio de Areco and back. The town and its gaucho crafts were very interesting. The estancia is excellent - horse riding was fun, the food is really great and the dancing and the horse performance are just the cherry on top. Above all, this experience was made really great by our tour guide Julietta. She is fun, knowledgeable and helpful. We had a great time and appreciated her company very much. Highly recommended!

Our tour guide (Lauren) was fabulous! Horseback ride was a little cheesy, but food and wine were wonderful and copious. Artisan tours were a bonus!

We did 1 day trip. San Antonia de Areco is a small and quaint town. Peaceful, charming and well preserved. We experience the gaucho lifestyle like horse riding, local food and song & dance. We totally enjoyed ourselves. Our guide, Facundo is excellent. He speak good english, explain clearly and slowly, very knowledgeable and sincere. I highly recommended him.

This company are a class act. Private car picked us up from our hotel in BA. Nice car, friendly professional driver. In Areco we met our guide Jullietta who was an absolute star and made the day for us to be honest. She showed us around some of the craft shops and told us about the history of the town and Gauchos. We then went with her to Ombu and had another fantastic time. There was food, dance, music, horse riding and lovely weather. Then a private car back. Perfect. So much better that waiting for a bus to go round 8 hotels leaving people off. We contacted the company direct and I think it was probably a better rate than the prices on Trip Advisor. I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

well-organized tour pick-up point by car with an excellent driver who drove us to San Antonio de Careo, we were greeted by Juliet our tour guide. Juliet took us for a comprehended tour of the town & gave a history lesson, the shops & small artisans kept the traditions. From the town, we drove to the ranch where we were greeted by Gauchos and offered a drink. We were invited to try horseriding or coach rides followed by a barbecue, fantastic music, dancing, and a horse-rider(love affair) exhibition. thankyou Juliet and the tour operator

After a pleasant 90 minute drive from our hotel in BA, we met our lovely guide Luna in the historic town of San Antonio De Areco. Our brief walking tour included several galleries featuring local artisans and informative histories of the pampas region, gauchos, and the fight for Argentine independence. The highlight was a visit to a lovely estancia (ranch) which included a great bbq lunch (with far too much food), a horseback or carriage ride (we got both), a folkloric show featuring music and dance, and a demonstration of gaucho horsemanship. Not inexpensive but a worthwhile introduction to a fascinating aspect of Argentine history and culture.

We had a wonderful day in the beautiful town of San Antonio de Areco and at the Estancia. Our tour guide Vacu was knowledgeable about, and took pride in, his hometown and kept us on track with our schedule to ensure we made our flight later that evening. The horseback riding and excellent lunch at the ranch was the perfect way to spend our last day in Argentina.

San Antonio de Areco was great historical place to visit. The ranch was an extremely pleasant place to visit, including a great bar-b-que lunch on the hacienda porch. Facundo was really a wonderful, informative, friendly tour leader.

Diego picked us up at our hotel and took us on the hour and a half drive to San Antonio de Areco where we met our fabulous guide Lara. Lara took on a tour of San Antonio and shared the history of the area as well as took us to shops where the local goods are made and sold. After spending time in San Antonio we drove to the La Margarita ranch. The owners of the La Margarita Estancia were so hospitable and made the experience that much better. We learned that the owners only began offering the Gaucho experience within the last 2 weeks and they really provided a top notch experience. We had the opportunity to tour the ranch as well as to go horseback riding. We watched the preparation of the lunch (which was amazing) and were provided more food than we could consume. At the Estancia we were served on signed china plates. We learned that the owners wife was an artist and saw her paintings. The wine was free flowing as was the food. After lunch the Gaucho's sang and played their guitars so the guests and hosts could dance to traditional Gaucho melodies. Following desert the Gaucho's demonstrated their horsemanship skills. Going to this particular Estancia was one of the best decisions we made during our stay in Argentina. Don't miss the opportunity to go to Estancia La Margarita.
