Most important, you need to understand the driver doesn’t accompany you to any sites so you need to do your own research of what to see. Would either recommend getting the audio guide or a private guide for Pompeii; don’t think an audio guide is available for Sorrento. A guide isn’t necessary for Positano. Since we’d been to Pompeii before & had a private guide, we wish we would have opted to spend more time in Sorrento & just skipped Pompeii. We didn’t have enough time in Sorrento & we regret that. Our guide Manuel was enthusiastic & none of our comments are due to Manuel; we just needed to be better prepared on what there is to see in Sorrento & each key site there. Don’t recommend trying to see all three sites in one day. We didn’t understand that although this was a private guide, he/she doesn’t walk around with you to highlight the sights. If you do all of the research & understand the restrictions & limitations, Manuel did a great job. We don’t recommend dealing with Viator however, terrible with customer satisfaction & the owner of this particular tour company was also not good to deal with. Worst experience we’ve ever had (Viator & tour company).

Manuel our driver was simply the best and most knowledgeable driver I have experienced in Naples. He made me and my family feel at home. His hospitality was incredible. I would highly recommend him and his company Italy Driver to anyone. I will be using them again on my next trip back to Naples. Thank you!!!!

Umberto was wonderful to work with as well as he was also the driver! We booked late last night and last minute and he was so responsive, thorough, kind, and friendly. He was able to accommodate us even at that late date for booking. Instantly felt comfortable and assured that he would be meeting us at the port in Naples. Excellent driver, so knowledgeable about the area of Naples and the Amalfi Coast. Will 100% reach out to him again next time we are in Naples or nearby areas. Highly recommend!

Manuel was the best driver. Speaks great English and knows his way around. He kept us entertained also! Was just a wonderful young man. Definitely made our trip very memorable.

We were a group of 5 women traveling from the US. I found Umberto (the dad) in a google search and he quickly called me to see what our needs were. His English is perfect and he made great recommendations. He mentioned that either he or one of his sons would be driving. His son, Manuel took us for 2 days and we had the best time! Manuel was a true pleasure to be with. He’s proud to show you his country and his #1 priority is pleasing his guests. Nothing was too much for him! His recommendations were spot on and hes truly skilled as a calm driver on winding roads ( one of the 5 suffers from motion sickness was but she was ok with his attention to her issue, even along those roads). His genuine eagerness to please and his vivacious personality made him a joy to be with. We’ll only use Umberto and his pans when we visit this area again.we truly appreciate the care they offered us. it’s one of the great memories we have from an amazing trip.

Manuel was great guide and driver. He’s a friendly local who knows the area and loves his country. He spoke very good English and was easy to understand and communicate with. Driving in Naples and surrounding areas can be nerve racking but Manuel was calm and an excellent navigator. The company set up a private archeological guide in Pompeii, the highlight of our day. Because of the time constrictions, we did not get to explore as much as we would have liked but 100% recommend Manuel and this tour.

We were a group of 4 needing a ride from Rome to Positano . Umberto was very attentive and got on it right away, he sent us a wonderful driver named Alfredo who was kind and very professional. He made sure we got to Positano in time for our Ferry and called our host to make sure we didn't worry about our luggage while we toured Capri. I will definitely use him again! five stars all the way! thank you Umberto and Alfredo!

This was a Fantastic experience. We would definitely use them again when we are in the area. Everything was perfectly on schedule and without any hiccups. Our driver was very pleasant and we enjoyed great conversation during our travels

The trip was absolutely breath-taking. Sorrento and Positano are amazing! So worth the time and the money. The tour company owner and tour guide both did a wonderful job of communicating with us about our progress and timing. The guide also took us to a restaurant in Sorrento where I had the best pizza of my life!! Pompeii was amazing as well. The guide was very knowledgeable and funny. Be aware that there is an extra charge for entry into Pompeii and for the tour guide there.

Umberto and his son guided us for about a week from Naples all the way around the Amalfi coast. They are very professional, friendly and customer oriented beginning at the first contact and after the last drop off at the airport. It was a great experience. Thank you Umberto and Antonio.

We had a large group. Umberto and his son we able to accommodate us on short notice. They were excellent guides. Some of our party wanted to see Pompeii and Vesuvius. Umberto picked us up at our hotel, drive us to the sights and even fit a winery with lunch into the day. His English is excellent, which made it comfortable for all the guests. Umberto and his sons are professional and knowledgeable. I highly recommend him!

Emberto was fantastic! He was very knowledgeable being a local and friendly. He was a very safe driver which is important when you are driving in this busy traffic. His English was great and had lived in the US. This made it easier for him to relate to our questions.

Umberto was amazing! He even got a personal guide for us in Pompeii and made lunch reservations at the most amazing restaurant with a fabulous view in Positano!! He even sang for us in the van! He is spectacular....book this!!

Umberto is a great driver, we had a last minute hiccup with our car reservation from Naples to drive around Amalfi coast, and we found Umberto on the Internet. He was immediately very responsive on WhatsApp, proposed a great itinerary and was very clear in communication. He arrived promptly on time, the car was very clean and comfortable with air conditioning. Umberto likes to talk about Naples and surrounding area, but isn’t overly talkative so there is time to relax as well. He recommended a great restaurant in Positano for lunch as well. We really enjoyed the day and would highly recommend using Umberto rather than renting a car given narrow roads / constant traffic / parking challenges in the Amalfi coast!

We had the pleasure of meeting Umberto and enjoying the most fantastic 1 day excursion when visiting Naples on a cruise. We were 4 adult passengers 1 8yr old and 1 1yr old. We visited sorrento, positano and pompei. All beautiful and interesting. Umberto was very friendly, organised and extremely knowledgeable. We all thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and would 100% recommend him to anyone wishing to see as much as possible on a days visit to this fabulous part of Italy.

Naples was the last stop in Italy after a 10 day tour of the country starting in the North for me & my wife. We booked a full day private tour of the Amalfi Coast in advance and I was in constant touch with Umberto on Whatsapp to plan for the pickup since our accommodation was a little hard to find, and that had me worried. Umberto is extremely prompt in all communications and ensured that we did not need to worry. Extremely friendly, courteous and also around to make us comfortable during our entire trip. He is the reason that I fell in love with Italian music - Thanks to his amazing collection which played all through our trip. Infact he even gave us a CD of his collection. The entire day was fairly easy going and yet we covered all the planned locations comfortably, thanks to Umberto being highly organised, without making us feel any pressure of time. He stopped at all the great spots for us to take pictures, shared lots of information about the area and infact the trip felt more like a family outing getting to know each other and about our families, than a stranger taking us around. Our accommodation was a bit out of the way - Umberto without a second thought dropped us at our doorstep & helped us organise the airport drop with Pietro. It is people like Umberto who make a vacation become a memory of a lifetime. I would also like to thank Pietro for being a thoughtful person with excellent Customer Service approach - he went out of the way to open an Umbrella for me as it started raining and patiently waited for us while we were finishing our rushed up breakfast. I highly recommend Italydrivers and my heartfelt thanks to Umberto for making our last few days in Italy, a memory to cherish.

This was an amazing day. My wife, my 8 year old son, and myself took the train from Rome down to Naples and had this tour booked. I was a little nervous booking this purely based on these online reviews, but everything went perfectly smooth from the coordination ahead of time, to the train station pickup, to the beautiful drive, the choice photo locations, and the recommended restaurants. Umberto made the drive entertaining, made us feel safe, spoke great English, and had a very comfortable van. I would definitely recommend him to anyone and will book him again if we are ever in the area,
