We really enjoyed the sights and scenery of the trip out of Quito to the markets and seeing the waterfalls! Joshui was an excellent tour guide and highly recommend this tour. Friendly, smooth and great recommendations.

Otavalo market and the views of the countryside. The stop for bizcochos and lunch were very good choices. Our guide Josue was super!

Our guide, Josie Sentamarae, was outstanding: knowledgeable, funny, attentive just great. The Rose Market was amazing with such variety even the Eternal. Roses…never heard of them? Me either until this tour. The markets were good (there is one in Quito equally good) Seeing the countryside and walking in the small village to the waterfall was great. Highly recommend!

Renato was our tour guide he was amazing. Picked us up at hotel on time. Took us to the market and two other towns. Amazing scenery and shopping. Lunch was amazing at this great restaurant he recommended. Also so water fall in a eucalyptus Forrest. Would definitely recommend this tour.

What an amazing day we had on our private day tour to Otavalo and the surrounding areas. Our guide Joel, and driver Patricio picked us up at the appointed time at our hotel in Quito. Joel, our guide, was a fount of knowledge of all things Ecuador, and from the moment he picked us up at our hotel, we were engaged with stimulating conversation and history. He made us so comfortable from the minute we mer him! Our drive was breathtaking! Driving through the beautiful, lush forest we stopped to take pictures. The first stop was in Cayumbe for Bizcochos; a delicious Ecuadorian biscuit served with a mozarella type cheese and hot chocolate. We watched them being made and baked in the oven, and then were able to try them. Delicious! Next we drove through a small town where we visited some local fresh produce markets, where we were able to sample many different types of fruits, and then to Otavalo, and indigenous community where there is a huge artisan marketplace to buy and see all the beautiful Andean handicrafts, and the traditional people. Only a few minutes outside the city of Otavalo, is Cascade de Peguche (Peguche Waterfall). The entrance is located in a indigenous village. A rustic walking trail through the lush eucalyptus forest and in 15 minutes you arrive at the beautiful, sacred waterfall, which has special meaning to the indigenous people. This is a must see if going to Otavalo. Jay was an amazing tour guide who was so friendly and his knowledge was unsurpassed. Our driver, Patricio, was so kind and always made us fell safe. This tour was excellent. our guide was knowledgeable & friendly. Never looked at the time and treated us as friends. Wish all were like Andres. He was very informative and friendly. We all enjoyed his personality and knowledge. Thank you Guidecuador , we will definitely use them again!

Alejandro was our guide, and he was fantastic. He had so much knowledge about the area, and really created authentic experiences for us. He even adapted as we went, as my mother being older and maybe not as agile as needed for the waterfalls portion of the trip, he offered to take us instead to a store on the outskirts of Otovalo, where they still hand make their goods. Mom loved it!

Had a fantastic day with Renato hitting some great viewpoints and areas of the Andes. Was able to finish early and stop at an extra point of intrest as well, highly recommend.

Comfortable mini bus for the long ride. Roughly 1 hr 45 min ride both ways. Plenty of time to get through the wonderful Indian Market in Otavalo. Feel completely safe at the market. Tour stopped on the way to Cotacachi at an overlook for pictures and picked up two girls in full native dress who gave a little talk on the bus and also sang a couple of indian tours. They had some nice things to buy afterwards but you weren't obligated. Coacachi included shopping, a walk to the waterfal, a stop at a pastry kitchen and lunch. Again plenty of time. A lot accomplished in a long day. The bus guide spoke english well and gave a good talk on Quito, the areas visited, etc. Overall a great day and not that expensive. Also stopped at the middle of the world tourist stop...a little gimmicky but worth the stop.

Otavalo Market and Surroundings Excellent personalized trip to visit Otavalo market, Cotacachi for leather goods, as well as stops to enjoy local biscuits and visit the Cascade de Peguche waterfall. Our guide Alejandro was knowledgeable, welcoming and made the whole day more enjoyable.

Took the private Tour to Otavalo & surroundings, Alejandro was our guide and he is a wealth of information. Selecting a private tour is the only way to go, more flexible, more specific to your interest, Alejandro was very accommodating and altered our tour based on our interest once we started touring different areas. He did a great job telling us the history of each area and how it’s progressed over time and really highlighted the best of each area we visited. He showed us a lot of the off the beaten path places and routes, we sampled local cuisine specialities, learned about the different cultures and saw people performing different craftsmanship skills passed on from generation to generation for many items. I would only use his tour agency in the future and it was great to learn of all the different areas he provides services and his other guides that are equally knowledgeable and share his approach to providing the best tour possible.

We had an incredible time with Alejandro. He was extremely knowledgeable and shared alot of information and facts about Quito and the surroundings and about the culture and customs of Ecuador and its people. Alejandro was fun to tour with and took us to places that we would have never seem with a bigger tour. He was very personable and accommodating and i would recommend him to anyone looking to take a tour

Alejandro did a great job. Very punctual and made a nice stop along the way for a break that included traditional music, lookout point and drinks. He made sure we saw both aspects (traditional and newer food sections) of the market and then took us to a very nice place for lunch afterwords. All in all, a perfect day and excursion. Comfortable vehicle as well. Highly recommended!
