We always get tour guides in museums and this was our best experience yet! The kids (high school and college age) said they were sad when our tour was over! Mr. Satt was a fabulous guide. He asked us questions, told the stories behind the pieces, and was obviously passionate about art. We all would give it 5+ stars if possible. Can't recommend this high enough!

Saw the key exhibits at Museo del Parado. Hernan is a guide with lots of experience and very knowledgeable about Velazquez, Goya and others. Learned a lot. Made the tour quite manageable with a short break in between. A must given the size of the museum.

Having done many private tours it was an absolute privilege to join Hernan A. Satt on a private Prado museum tour. Needless to say his knowledge was exceptional. But turning this into an absolute immersive experience by sharing not only his knowledge but explaining background facts in a fascinating and exciting manner made this tour a step above the usual!! This was my second tour of the Prado and this time was exceptional. Our guide Irina was waiting at our prearranged meeting location as planned and began the tour promptly. One of our guests doesn't like museums and even she enjoyed herself. That's due in large part to how Irina conducted the tour and made the experience interesting. My last visit with a guide was good, but Irina covered more ground than the last guide and she had a half hour less than the first guide! I would highly recommend using Viator to book a guide for the Prado and if you can, request Irina. You'll be happy you did!

Our private tour with Irina Karasenko focused on the museum highlights and those with Jewish themes. Irina was warm and welcoming. She was able to share her deep love and knowledge of art history with us in a fun and accessible way. It was an amazing experience to visit Prado museum. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took time to explain the details and backgrounds of different paintings. At the end of our tour he provided several recommendation of places to eat and visit in Madrid. Last but not the least he actually gave us a ride to one of the restaurants at the conclusion.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our guide Irena who gave life to the wonderful paintings at the Prado. It is a magnificent collection and Irena could provide so much historical perspective on the paintings as well as explaining the technique of the artists. She was enthusiastic about each piece and engaged so easily on any topic or questions. This was definitely a highlight of our time in Europe.

We were enchanted with Irina's knowledge of the paintings, artists and Spanish history. I was initially a tad concerned about 3.5 hours in the Prado with two teens. She reassured me it would pass quickly and they would enjoy it. She captivated us all with her explanations, patience and intelligence. She was the only guide of our trip throughout Spain who deliberately involved and engaged my teens. Our family recently enjoyed an incredible week in Spain, starting in the Basque Country and ending in Madrid. We learned so much - Hernan managed to weave history, personality, story-telling, and true drama into all the paintings we saw. He even held the attention of our 2 twenty-something sons for almost four hours, no small feat. During our trip, we were truly taken by the generous spirit of so many Spaniards.
