Apart from the view, which we already knew would be spectacular, we appreciated the knowledge that our guide, Shafwan, imparted - about the ecology, the legends and the impact of tourism to the environment. It's listed as an "easy" activity on the website, but climbing the steps up and down to Tasik Dayang Bunting takes some effort. Overall, very enjoyable and insightful.

We took the Southern Island Geopark tour, and it was fantastic. Our guide, Masyi, was very knowledgeable and helpful throughout the tour. Highly recommend Junglewalla's tours.

Went on a private guided tour with Venosha Balachandran and hats off to her that I got to learn so much from her. She is so informative, she is so connected to the roots of the Langkawi that she probably knows more than anyone out there. Amazing tour guide.

Our conceirge left no doubt when booking this tour for us that this was the best operator out there! He did not disappoint. Our wonderful guide and host + the best captain on the mangrove today were a pleasure to be with. Our guide was amazing with her knowledge and deep love of her beatiful UNESCO listed “work place”. Thank you for helping with sharing your knowledge about the many mangrove species, the incredible “gorilla rock” formation. We do recommend. Thank you - Lou, Sydney Australia

We had an amazing tour with Vinosha. She had so much knowledge and was such passionate and eloquent tour guide. She could easily be a spokesman for National Geographic. We got to see so many animals, including a Monitor lizard, kingfishers, sea eagles, kites, crabs, mudskippers, and macaques, all without feeding the animals, which apparently many of the less scrupulous or unguided tours do. We learned a ton about mangroves and the unique geology of the area. This was the highlight of our entire stay in Langkawi.

We were a group of 7 who booked this tour whilst we were in Langkawi as part of a 3 location Malaysian holiday including KL & Penang. Due to bad weather our tour was delayed, Junglewalla kept in touch with me at all times and rearranged the tour to a better day. Very professional. Our guide was called Alfie and she was excellent throughout the trip. Full of interesting knowledge and always happy to help out with photos and suggestions, she was a fantastic guide. Boat was clean & fast and the crew helpful and cheerful. We all voted for this tour as our top experience of the holiday which says a lot about how good this tour is. Don't hesitate in using this company - they are superb.

We had a fantastic ecotour with Venosha from Jungle Walla on our last day in Langkawi. She was excellent with our child and managed to captivate his interest. Her deep understanding of the mangroves' wildlife and delicate ecosystems was truly impressive. Highly recommended!

Excellent experience. We did the mangrove tour and the island hopping tour. Both booked through our hotel. Excellent pickup service. Great guides on both trips. All ethical with no animal feeding. Will definitely use them again when we go back to Langkawi.

An absolute recommendation! A special shout out to our guide Francis who gave us a private tour through the mangroves. His knowledge about the biodiversity and preservation was exceptional. Together with the captain of the boat we spotted various animal and plant species in this beautiful environment. Thank you for this lovely day!

This tour was really lovely! The guide was wonderful, he was very knowledgeable about it all. We arrived at the jetty mid afternoon, and were greeted by our very friendly guide. We then went onto the boat, and headed off towards the islands. The scenery leaving Kuah was amazing, with huge, very steep islands silhouetted against the horizon. Upon request, the driver would slow down so that we could look closer at any islands. However, the normal, fairly fast speed of the boat was wonderful due to the humidity and heat of the day. We arrived at the first island, which had a lovely beach, complete with pristine white sand and surrounded by jungle. There were quite a few local people at the beach, but they were all friendly. The only downside to this was the rubbish. I had seen quite a lot floating in the sea as we travelled to the island, and there was a fair bit scattered around the beach. However, this was definitely not the tours fault. We left the beach and headed to the next island, which had a cove surrounded by mangroves. The amazing thing here was the sheer number of sea eagles and kites! There were around 20 of them, all flying quite close. Our guide explained to us that the reason for this was again quite sad. It seems that many of the less environmentally minded tours have been feeding the birds with chicken skins in order to make them fly and land near the boats. He explained that this was harmful as the high fat and low protein content in the skins can cause the birds to be infertile, so although it means that many tourists can see them close, it will eventually reduce the population of birds. He also added that it reduces their hunting ability. This meant that many birds found it difficult during covid when the boats stopped running as there were no tourists to feed them. We then went to the next island, which boasted a huge freshwater lake. During the journey there, the driver would stop and allow us to look at various smaller islands along the way, without leaving the boat we would circle the land forms and see the most incredible rocks and trees, creating a gorgeous collage along the cliffs with striped marble and a plethora of different tree species. The fresh water lake was beautiful. It was huge, and over 40m deep. Our guide explained to us that it used to be a cave that collapsed in on itself. He also explained the myth of why it’s called “pregnant maiden island”. The lake was a lovely temperature, and when we arrived at around 5pm it was nearly deserted. We saw lots of wildlife, with Macaques and other monkeys, as well as our guide spotting an amazing kingfisher which was native to Thailand. Once we left the lake and heaves back towards Langkawi, we saw some dolphins! The driver stopped and allowed us to circle back so that we could see some of them quite closely. They were very different to Australian dolphins, quite a bit shorter and a black and white colour. Over all, this tour was amazing!! I very highly recommend it. Our guide was fantastic, he very quickly matched on to what level of explanation my fanlike wished to know. This meant that he would instantly recognise and explain each aspect that’s e pointed out. For example, when we were leaving the last island we saw some mudskippers and he explained to us, in detail, how they breathe in both the water and on land. This amount of knowledge impressed my entire family, even my father who used to be a safari guide, and grew up with both his parents finning safaris for over 30 years. Value for money was amazing too. We spent 600 myr, a little over 200 aud, and ended up with a private boat for the four of us, a very knowledgeable guide and a driver. I cannot recommend this tour highly enough, and jungle walla seems to be far more environmentally minded and ethical than some of the other tours.

Had a lovely tour with shafwan and fatih as our tour guides. They were very knowledgeable guides. We went as a couple with our 5 year old son. They were very accommodating. Had a hilarious incident with the monkeys blocking the footpath wanting food, but they were harmless in the end

Fantastic boat trip exploring the Klim Karst Geoforest Park in Langkawi. Our tour guide, Syira was friendly and very knowledgeable about the local environment and the park. Our driver, Faris was also very friendly and looked after us on the boat. The scenery was beautiful and we saw a lot of species including long tailed macaques and eagles. The trip was a sufficient amount of time to see the park and everything ran smoothly. I would highly recommend and request for Syira and Faris.

Wonderful experience with Azri and his very skilllful colleagues manning the boat. Super friendly and knowlesgeable and I respect the company's resolve to protect the wildlife and natural habitat by reminding us not to feed the monkeys nor the eagles. The Captain and Guide were also so patiemt with our children ans slowed the boat down when they saw something the children might be enthused by! And the climax of the trip really was the last bit where the Captain sped off into the wide open Andaman Sea as we bade a sad farewell to the beautiful Geopark. Thank you Junglewalla for a smooth transaction, preparation and trip from booking to the end of it!
