Our experience was great, our driver/guide was very knowledge of the region and the history of the area. We enjoyed the private tour, is worthy. The area is really beautiful and I highly recommended.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this tour and our guide, Bruno! This was an absolute highlight of our trip. From start to finish, he made the day perfect for us! We toured two palaces in Sintra (Regaleira and Monserrate) - both are not to be missed! On Bruno's recommendation, we had an amazing authentic lunch. We had tons of time to wander around Cascais and the western most part of Europe. Everything was PERFECTION!! Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful tour of beautiful Sintra with our knowledgable guide Bruno. His comfortable van took us to the hill above Sintra for castle tours and views. Being born and raised in Centra, he was able to bring us off the beaten path for some breathtaking observation areas. His knowledge of the history of Portugal is vast and he communicates this information beautifully. We ate at a Portuguese restaurant where there were no crowds and amazing ocean views. We finished the tour by visiting Cascais- not to be missed! Definately ask for Bruno!

We booked with Bruno and Portugal Unknown Tours after discovering him through a Facebook group and I am so pleased I did. Bruno started off our day tour of Sintra by picking us up from our Lisbon hotel. We spent the day touring Pena palace, Quinta de la Regaleira, Cabo de Roca, and Cascais. We had time to stop along the way at a few off-the-beaten-path spots and the most amazing seaside lunch at a fantastic restaurant with an ocean view. He's an incredible historian and offered up so many interesting details about what we took in. Not only that, he's a genuinely kind person and very polite. My husband and I had a 5 star day. Highly recommend.

We had the most awesome helpful and knowledgeable guide (Paulo from a local tour company 'Portugal Unknown') who went out of his way to make our overall experience special. Pena palace was spectacular and definitely worth a visit.

The day trip to Sintra and Cascais was lovely. Our tour guide Bruno is very friendly and insightful (a a good photographer too!!!) Highly recommended!!!!

Bruno was highly recommended in a Travel Portugal Facebook group I joined ahead of the trip and today I got to understand why; he is a wealth of knowledge, a great communicator and went out of his way to make sure we had the best time in Sintra. Since he’s from Sintra he was the perfect guide and knew so much about the palaces and also the history of the country. Additionally he helped us understand the best paths to take at each property. We thoroughly enjoyed the trip with him and wouldn’t hesitate to book again next time we are here so he can show us the rest of the area. Thank you, Bruno!

We had an amazing day trip to Sintra with Bruno Maorii. Bruno picked us up for the day at our hotel, took us around Sintra, along the coast to lunch and a stroll through Cascais before returning to our hotel. We toured Pena Palace and Monserrate Palace which were beautiful but the real highlight for us was a wonderful lunch at a small place along the water. My 7 yr old daughter is still talking about the octopus and snails she ate. My 10yr old son isn’t much of a foodie but loved talking all things soccer and wanted a Benfica tshirt to support Bruno’s team by the end of the day. The sights are the same no matter who takes you on a tour but all the personal touches from Bruno really made the day a standout. Can’t recommend enough, 10 out of 10!

The hotel concierge recommended this private tour and I'm so glad we did this!! We were able to see so much more than if we had tried to navigate on our own. Joao was an awesome guide and was able to give us historical background for the sites. It was so wonderful to be dropped off with tickets in hand to each place and walk right in. Joao gave us some options for lunch and then made a reservation for us at a local place. So delicious! He also was able to work in a few extra short stops in Sintra since it wasn't too busy yet and we finished by going to the coast. Thank you so much! I recommend this to everyone. It was a stress-free way to see as much as possible in a day. Thank you!

All in all it was a great trip despite the bad weather and getting a bit of altitude sickness. We had Joao as our guide. He was early for our pick up and overall a great guide. Shared a great deal about the places we were about to see, the places we passed and overall about life in Lisbon. We had really crappy weather and suffered from a bit of altitude sickness that day and ended up passing on our visit at Pena Palace. Wish that the weather had been better because I had high hopes of exploring Pena and taking pics of the property. Joao was kind enough to adjust the scheduled itinerary to accommodate us and ended up driving us around to see other sites. He totally went above and beyond to make the day a great one for us despite the crummy weather.

A most marvelous tour trough Sintra and the Sintra Coast. Even it was a rainy day, Victhor showed us the places to be and was very knowledgable about the area and the history of Sintra. On our tour we visited Pena Palace, the old town of Sintra and Montserrate Palace. The last was our favorite. Victhor explained a lot and had good recommendations for amazing seafood and great wine. We enjoyed that day very much and highly recommend him as your guide for the trip.

Victhor was a fantastic guide! He had all sorts of insights on every place we stopped and excellent recommendations for the rest of our trip.

Lunch was delicious ,botanical garden beautiful and tiring thankfully they had a shuttle to take us back up.home was magnificent.

We were picked up on time and made it to each and every key spot. The sights and scenery were amazing, and Victor, our guide, made the tour a ten out of ten. Even though we went over time a bit, he still made sure to get us to every spot listed. Our kids thought he was the highlight of the tour 😁 Definitely recommend.

Picked up at our hotel by Bruno and drove to Pena Palace by 930 am. Glad we arrived early. Was already crowded. Took prepaid bus to entrance + did the outside tour of beautiful grounds with Bruno giving us a great history lesson. Returned by bus to our car Lines to get in were now very long. Drove to Monserrat Palace which was beautiful and very quiet The gardens were magnificent From there we drove through Sintra up the coast for lunch After lunch we drove to Cabo da Roca, the most western point of Europe We then finished the day with a tour of Cascais. Bruno was a fabulous guide who was knowledgeable, personable and truly loved what he does

We purchased a private tour of Sintra. My friend, my tour guide, and I were able to take a leisurely tour of the beautiful palaces and gardens of Sintra. We learned about its historical background from our guide Joao's detailed explanations. The lunch we had at the restaurant where Joao recommended was delicious, and the view from the window was spectacular. It became our wonderful memory. Thank you Joao and Portugal unknown tours ! We were very pleased to have booked the private Sintra-Cascais tour. It made for an efficient, stress-free, and memorable day. A highlight of our trip! Our guide João was superb. He was personable, knowledgeable, and committed to making sure we got the most out of the day. For the morning portion of the tour, we chose to visit the Pena Palace and Quinta da Regaleira. Had we done that on our own, it likely would have taken most of the day and could have been filled with frustration. Instead, during the afternoon we were able to enjoy beautiful sights along the coast. For lunch, João recommended a seafood restaurant on the coast, which sounded perfect. He was able to reserve a window table, and my wife and I enjoyed an outstanding lunch. All told, it was a fabulous day, thanks to João.

Our tour was incredible! Sintra itself was enchanting but Bruno our guide was a wealth of knowledge and took us to all the best sites that we wouldn’t have found on our own. He personalized it for us as we went along! It was definitely a highlight of the whole trip. We definitely can’t wait to return!
