Pam our tour guide was great. She explained everything. We had fun trying various fruits and snacks. We rode the train to the market and then watched it leave and went to floating market. We also saw coconut sugar plantation. Great day. Educational and fun

Pam was a great guide, she also took us where locals visits, ineresting. She really paid attention all details, and cared us a lot. Especially Railway market experience was nice, was more realistic than floating market. Floating market is very commercialized, show.

This tour with Pam and Tik Tok was the first thing my friend and I did in Thailand and it was absolutely perfect. We were only in Bangkok for 36 hours but we knew we wanted to see the famous markets in shows like Somebody Feed Phil and Parts Unknown. Pam and Tik Tok picked us up at our hotel for our private tour and we had the best 6 hours. We arrived at the railway market before the crowds so we were able to explore and shop with ease. Pam also had clearly built relationships with vendors there so we had prime viewing spots for the passing of the train. She was so nice and funny and extremely knowledgeable. Tik Tok was a great driver and the van was in great shape with crisp A/C. 10/10 recommend this incredible tour!! You won’t regret it and ask for Pam!

we booked the trip via Marriott Bonvoy app (lnked with viator/TA) - to get some points (that has yet to be received on our end), but anyway, it was truly the highlight of our holiday! Guided by the ever so friendly and knowledgeable Ms Apple, we started the day in Maeklong train station - arrived in 8.30am to catch the 1st train there and back! we got to sit in a coffee shop beside the railway and got out to catch the train chugging beside us, what an experience. Next on to the coconut processing village - yummy coconuts! lastly, we went to Damnoensaduak Floating Market - also one unique experience, buying souvenirs on a boat! Finished the trip and back in Bangkok town by 2pm - time well spent! Thanks a lot Ms Apple and Bangkok Urban Adventures!

Excellent informative trip. We spent the morning with Nai , our guide and Manit our driver. Was picked up at the hotel as we were the only people on the trip. Nai was super friendly and we spent the trip to MaeKhlong exchanging stories nuggets our cultures and where to find good food in Bangkok. At MaeKhlong, Nai brought us to sample the local Thai fare ( mainly sweet desserts) and a look into a traditional Thai Market. We also visited a family run coconut sugar farm. (Look out for the super cute and friendly family dog - Fifa) Explored an authentic floating market and more than ample time to explore the market ourselves and sample the local fare. Manjit was instrumental in us reaching our destinations on time (especially to watch the train pass by the market). An excellent safe and experienced driver. Vehicle was clean and comfortable. Would definitely recommend this trip. Learnt and experience Thai life outside of Bangkok

Amazing trip! My partner and I were the only ones on the trip making it a private tour. Pokémon, our guide was very attentive to our needs. He found us great spots for taking pictures and even bought us gifts - we truely appreciated all his efforts The railway market was really impressive and you do need to see it to believe it! Loved the coconut farm where you get to meet the owner and see the whole process of making coconut sugar. The owner seemed proud and happy to be welcoming tourists The floating market is one of a kind and captures the early days of trading over water Overall really enjoyed this tour. Couldn't have ask for more from Pokémon and Urban Adventures 🙏

I really enjoyed the tour. My guide Pam is very nice, knowledgeable and an excellent story-teller. We had a unique opportunity to visit a small local farm producing coconut sugar. It was very interesting to see all stages of the process! The Floating market was much fun too. We were going by boat around stalls with souvenirs, enjoyed picturesque view and nature. I recommend this tour to everyone who is looking for one-day adventure

Really enjoyed this tour with our guide A from Urban Adventures. We sampled different local foods throughout the tour which I would have otherwise walked straight past. A had an extensive local knowledge of Bangkok and ensured that we all enjoyed the tour. He got us a great vantage point to see the train at the railway market which was mind blowing! The coconut plantation was worthwhile but was much more of a smaller stop off than a place to spend an extended amount of time. Overall, good tour!

'A' was an excellent guide, he was well informed, and had a fun personality. We were able to get out of the city and catch a glimpse at what daily life is like for some of the local people. As we took the tour on a Saturday 'A' gave us the option of visiting the local floating market or the more well-know touristic market. Our group unanimously voted for the local market and we were not disappointed. I would highly recommend this tour and any tour with 'A' as a guide truly makes or breaks how well a tour runs and he was excellent.

Loved this trip beyond Bangkok, it's an early start but it's so worth it - we ate lovely Thai delicacies at the Railway market, we were there when the train went through (very exciting!), and had a really interesting visit to a palm sugar farm, and the floating markets were such a sign to behold .... we ate everything and it was delicious! Very comfortable transport to and from Bangkok, and the afternoon/evening free to rest, explore and practice my Thai phrases taught by Guide A - our amazing guide, thank you!

We effectively had a private tour as the other couple cancelled at the last minute. It's an early start at 630 but that works well as it's cooler in the morning and it's essential to fit it all in and to get to the railway market in time for the main event. This is the passing of the train through the market, with the remarkable packing up by all the stall holders as the train approaches, and then the resumption of business the second the train has passed - a remarkable sight. From there to a visit to a coconut farm which was interesting, and then onto the floating markets. This is something of a misnomer. It's essentially a trip in a longtail boat along some canals, with random stops at stalls set up at the edge of the canals selling all sorts of the same sorts of touristy stuff that appear in umpteen markets elsewhere. The only vendors in boats are a few selling (very nice) coconut ice cream, but nonetheless it's quite a fun experience, but entirely touristy and nothing like a real working market (as one experiences on, for example, food tours. Our guide, Mond, was chatty, personable and knowledgeable, and helped make the experience memorable, and he later emailed us some photos he had taken across the day. You are then returned to the city by 100, so that's long enough, and then there's time to do other things in the warmer afternoon. Good value for money.

Everything was great. Our tour guide "A" was very informed and really likes to share his knowledge about his culture. We tried several tipycal dishes on both the railway and floating market and learnt a lot aboutbthe history of this places together with the hostory of Bangkok and Tailand. Besides the markets we had the chance to see a palm sugar plantagion and see how is produced both in a traditional and in more modern way. About the markets they are like nothing i saw before. Those places are without doubt a must do if you go to bangkok.

Brilliant enthusiastic, professional and friendly guide Pam! Well worth seeing the railway and floating markets. Excellent transport in modern van. Small group of 4 people was great. Lots of tasters included such as yummy coconut pancakes! Got to see how coconut sugar is made and to climb a coconut tree!! Would definitely recommend
