Antonino was an amazing guide and driver. He even had an iPad in the car ride so the tour could include the drive from Sorrento to the sites. Herculean and Pompeii were amazing and brought alive by his tour and bis humor. I could not recommend enough.

Antonino picked us up from our hotel then we drove to vesuvius whilst driving gave a history of the eruption of 79ad Pompeii and Herculaneum. Waited while I hiked up vesuvius then we drove to the archeology sites. Antonino knowledge and history making the best experience a long day but worthwhile would highly recommend

My wife and I booked a tour with Antonio for Pompeii, Herculaneum and Vesuvius. We had not purchased ascent tickets to climb to the top of Vesuvius, but Antonio drove us up to the dropoff point so we could appreciate the views. We did not know that Vesuvius is still considered and acitve volcano - with the last lava flow in 1944. Antonio uses the Socratic method as a tour guide, giving out bits of information, then questions from him, then more information in a back-and-forth manner. MUCH more interesting than droning on historical facts. We UNDERSTOOD how Pompeii and Herculaneum came their current condition, and how life was like in those cities. Very good use of our vacation dollars and this turned out to be the best part of our 2-week Italian vacation. He picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off at the train station (because our Naples departure had a crash change due to a rail strike day.) Highly recommend.

We all so enjoyed Tony. So full Of knowledge, humor and you can tell he loves his work! We had a blast! Well done Antonino! Learned so much and highly recommend all three adventures. Vesuvius ( get your tickets to the top) Pompeii and Herculaneum! Long day but so worth it.

Tony picked us up in front of our apartment and drove us in comfort throughout the day, He is a very knowledgeable guide and gave us an introduction to many things on the way so when we arrived we were better informed. Tony showed us amazing sites in Pompei and Herculaneum. The hike up Vesuvius is somewhat steep, but worth the trip to see the crater. Pompei has been on my bucket list for a long time and this was a great way to see the amazing site. Herculaneum was amazing also. It is a much smaller site, but full of well preserved mind boggling things. A full day well spent.

Antonio was flexible with the arrangements for our private tour. He uses the Socratic method: discussing some components of Roman architecture, then questioning what we saw. By the end we UNDERSTOOD Pompeii's architecture and history. Easy to understand English speech.

Tony was an amazing guide. Picked us up at the hotel, waited for us to hike Mt Vesuvius and then was an engaging expert on Pompei and Herculean. Skipping the lines really helped. Most importanly. he kept us entertained (even my 16 year old). We highly recommend him.

Marco was a lovely driver. Everything was organised well and pick up and drop off was seamless. One of our people was sick and Marco kindly help us find a pharmacist to buy medicine. Celeste our tour guide was so knowledgeable about the Herculaneum and Pompeii. She gave us a lot of insight of what happen thousands of years ago. Overall, we were very happy with everything and would highly recommend this.

Perfect day. We were on a cruise with limited time. I was worried we could not do everything listed. Our guide was fabulous. He communicated immediately with all my questions. He helped me get a hiking pass for the volcano at 9:20. He was on time waiting for us. We did the hike in the morning then went to Herculaneum then Pompeii. Despite the short time we gave him to work with we still had a sit-down lunch with real Italian pizza while he parked the car. His English and knowledge were fantastic. I never felt rushed. We were a group of 5 with various walking abilities and he made it easy for all of us. Because I worry he even got us back with time to spare.

Antonio is a very pleasant and professional person. He is well prepared and has a lot of relevant information to share. He really made a difference on our tour to Pompeii. He is also a very safe driver. We would recommend him at any time.

Antonino is a fabulous guide and a wealth of information. We travelled as a family with two teens and he worked hard to cater to the interests of each member of the family. Unfortunately Vesuvius was closed when we visited but Tony made sure to include other options so that we didn't feel like we missed out. Both of our teens were engaged in the experience and we all thoroughly enjoyed the day. Highly recommend this tour, it's worth every penny.

This is a very ambitious tour but Antonino accomplished it very well, making sure that our interests were all covered. We had seen Pompeii and Herculaneum before and we would suggest that if you haven’t been there before you take a tour that covers these sites in more detail. It is a very full day but Antonino explains things very well and is a qualified guide as well as a driver.

Antonino was extremely patient, helpful, and knowledgeable. Great guide, giving the entire family a most enjoyable and memorable excursion!

We were picked up promptly at our accommdation by Antonino and from there the day started. He explained all about Mt Vesuvius on our way. He was very very knowledgeable about everything we spoke about. He showed us the best parts of Pompeii explaining everything about what we were seeing. When we moved on to Herculaneum he was just as knowledgeable. We all had looked forward to this trip and Antonino made sure we had a great day. We will visit the museum of archeology to see the things we spoke with Antonino on the trip. Throughout the day he always told us we could change plans but we were very very happy with the schedule. Tony was wonderful. His knowledge and passion about Pompeii and Herculean were fabulous. During the drive he pointed out highlights while giving information to prepare us for the site.

Antonino - Tony - was a brilliant driver and guide. His car is comfy and spacious and he coped admirably with the chaos of Naples, picking us up and dropping us off right outside our hotel. He was fantastic showing us around Pompeii and Herculaneum, showing us the most fascinating stuff but still having the flexibility to stop and show us things we showed an interest in. He was particularly brilliant with our two kids (13 and 10), keeping them interested despite it being a long and hot day. I would recommend him to anyone in a heartbeat!

Antonino with A Drive Into The Blue gave us an amazing private day tour! Tony is a licensed guide, so if you want that, message him and tell him! He met us tight at the port, and whisked us away to Mt. Vesuvius, We got there before they opened and were the first people on the trail that day! Since he is in a car and not a bus, he was able to take us right to the entrance! Then, we went to Pompeii. Tony regaled us with facts and info during our entire ride. He even told us how to get the most out of our time in Pompeii! He was waiting for us right by the exit, at the appointed time, and he took us right over to Herculaneum. After that, he gave us a short tour of the port area, then delivered us right bacvk to our ship. We had a lot of great tours in Italy and Greece, but this one was. by far, the ,most informative and comprehensive. There's no way we could have done all of that on a bus trip...buses can't get close to anything so you waste time walking from where ever the buses need to park to get to the attraction. Highly recommend this tour ( I think it was from like 7am to 4 pm! long day, but worth it!)

We loved our tour to Herculaneum, Pompeii & Mt. Vesuvius. Antonino was extremely knowledgeable about these sites & patient with our 10 & 12 year old. He was a great communicator & made our port day in Naples perfect. I would recommend Antonino’s guided tour for anyone wanting to learn the history of these two cities.

Our guide Antonio absolutely made the tour for us, he dropped us part way up Mount Vesuvius and waited whilst we walked up and back. He gave us history talk in the car on way and then again before we got to Herculaneum where he personally escorted us explaining things fully and ensuring we saw the best things and totally understood everything. He then stopped for us to have a lunch and waited and then again escorted us to Pompeii which more knowledge and information Best trip by far, ask for Antonio he is so nice and dedicated to ensuring you have an educational but relaxed time
