Don't get me wrong it was a long day but from the start when the guys picked us up at the hotel it was fabulous. We were a party of 4 ,The drivers were great supplied us with snacks and drinks and made plenty of stops for comfort breaks. When we arrived in Cairo and met up with our guide/ Egyptologist Hany, it got even better. I don't think there is anything about Egypt's he doesn't know and explains things so well with a great sense of humour. I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants a personalised tour of Cairo and if you can, ask for Hany as your guide. The last time we did this we flew to Cairo but this was far better.

Amazing experience, well worth the long day to see such an iconic location. Hany our guide was fantastic and so knowledgeable, it was so good having him to ourselves throughout the day on this private trip.

Our trip was amazing. Hany was an amazing guide. He was very sociable and very interactive. He encouraged us to ask questions and did a fantastic job at sparking our interest. He knew the best spots to take pictures and took the liberty of taking a lot of pictures as well. It seemed like he was very well connected as we were able to skip all the lines at the museums and the pyramids. I don’t think I would’ve enjoyed this trip were I to do this in a group setting. Our driver, Mahmoud, is the best driver ever. He asked us multiple times if we were comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this was the best possible way to explore Cairo and the pyramids. Egyptian people are very welcoming and very hospitable and we liked everything about it.

If I could give 4.5 out of 5, this would be our review. The drivers where both good guys, arrived on time, snacks of crisps water and fizzy drinks arranged through Mohamed who owns the company. The vehicle was a minivan, in good condition and the air-conditioning worked well. Communication in arranging the trip was very good. I'm inquisitive naturally and would have wanted to spend some of the 6 hours travel time with the drivers getting to know more about where we were en route, local Egyptian ways of life etc. I do appreciate that was not advertised in the package. They took turns between sleeping and driving and drove safely however as a UK citizen found it unnerving them using mobile phones and not wearing seatbelts. On connecting with our guide Sarawat in Cairo, he was friendly and did take care of entry to the museum, it is obvious he is well connected and known around town with his peers throughout the day. In the museum we focussed on key artifacts and he then left us for free time. This was the same when visiting the pyramids and sphinx also included and taken care of by Sarawat. You'll need 10LE if you want the toilet at the pyramids We did get the opportunity to do an optional boat trip on the Nile and Sarawat used his connections to book a large boat for 3 of us for £15 each which considering it probably takes over 20 people was excellent and lasted around 40 minutes. The food was good at lunch BBQ/grilled chicken and lamb kofta, note you'll need cash for drinks not included and you'll not be able to take your own. We were also encouraged by Sarawat to visit various other shops to buy papyrus pictures, perfume and souvenir stall. Overall a very long and enjoyable day but preferred driving seeing the country and having space and a personal guide than being in a group and flying. I also enjoyed driving through Cairo and seeing the hustle and bustle of normal daily life. Would recommend this trip and considering what was included was good value.

My second excursion out of Hurghada and organised once again by Mahmoud for our group of 7. Picked up by a modern clean minibus at 2am for our 6 hour drive to Cairo. Given the roads, I would not recommend this for anyone that is pregnant. Met by Hany, our local guide in Cario who was amazing and knowledgeable. He also recommended the camel ride with tutu ( optional extra) which I highly recommend, and gives you a chance to see the pyramids in its glory plus able to go into one of the smaller pyramids without an6 extra cost. Boat ride (also optional extra) was good to get some respite from the heat. Not rushed to leave Cario and didn’t leave until after 6pm after a fun packed day.

Such an amazing day. Based on the reviews we requested Hany as a tour guide, and I'd recommend doing the same. Hany was really knowledgeable about Egyptian history and culture. He also didn't make us feel pressured into trip add-ons. Having a private tour gave us extra time to see what we wanted to see, over doing a bus tour. Be aware that the driving in Cairo and Egypt in general is quite different to in the west. We chose to add-on a Nile boat trip (~£10pp), a tour of Old Cairo (~£10pp) and camel ride to a Giza Pyramid viewing point where we were able to get great pictures. I'd honestly recommend doing them all if you get chance.

We had a fantastic day from start to finish! The driver was early at the hotel and we were in capable hands all the journey. The company was kind enough to gift us 4 scarfs ready for our desert adventure! We picked up our tour guide (Abeer) in Cairo and she was an excellent guide and knew all the facts at her fingertips. She also was great giving us advice and do”s and don’t which was really helpful on our first visit to Egypt. We arrived early at Giza and visited the pyramids and sphinx which was awesome.ot wasn’t too busy . Do make sure you go inside a pyramid, it’s really worth it. Also had a camel ride at the site. Optional visit to papyrus workshop which was worth it and we did end up buying a picture! Then onto lunch which was really nice. You must try the fresh smoothies!! We drove through Cairo which was and interesting experience in itself!! The Egyptian museum was great and Abeer showed us the main points of interest and then we had free time to ourselves. A long day but definitely worth it!! We even had a call from the manager Mahmoud to ensure that we had enjoyed our day. Fantastic customer service, I would definitely use the company again on our next visit.

Wow wow wow what an amazing trip! everyone was so nice and looked after us very well. We thought for a trip of our lifetime it will be better to book a private tour to the pyramids instead of a group tour and we was definitely right. Our tour guide Abeer was amazing, so knowledgeable and enthusiastic, she gave us all the time we need, for pictures, to explore inside the pyramids and took us to all the best spots to see everything. She explained everything so beautifully and made our trip so much better (she also takes the best pictures!) our driver was also so good, very comfortable car and very accommodating. He would stop whenever you need for a toilet or a break and we felt very safe with him (especially driving in the extremely busy Cairo). If you’re thinking of booking this then I can honestly say do it! We had an amazing time, it’s a long drive from Hurghada but it is so worth it. I recommend it completely, you won’t regret it.

Absolutely loved it. We were lucky enough to have Hany with us during our Cairo day trip. If you have a chance to request your tour guide, definitely ask for Hany. He is a tour guide for 27 years, his knowledge is absolutely amazing and you can clearly see he loves what he is doing. We enjoyed every second of the day. First we visited The Egyptian Museum, which we were a bit scared of because we are really not a museom visitor types, however Hány made everything so interesting, we learned a lot about perfumes( lotus and papirus) Mummys, actient culture, techniques...he will show you only the most interesting part of it, and we loved it. After this we had a good 20-25 minutes of boat trip on the Niles which was so relaxing (this is optional, but I would highly recommend it, it's cheap and worthy). You will see Hany is not just a tour guide, but a Captain too:) After this he took us to our buffet style restaurant. The food was very tasty, plenty of options including Indian food as well, and very good ice-cream too(make sure you have egyptian pound with you, since the drinks are not included and the do not accept euro, dollar or card). Then we visited the Pyramids in Giza. Bazaar seller will be very pushy, but just stay close to Hany... everybody knows him😉 you can make good deal but don't be shy to drop the original price drastically (feel free to half the original price) and just stay strong, eventually you will get a more reasonable price. Do not buy papyrus from them, after the Sfinx you will visit a papyrus factory where you can learn a lot about the procedure, and the whole staff is very welcoming and friendly. Here you can get 50% off for a handmade papyrus and if you pretend that the price it's even like this a bit too high for your budget, they are easy to get them drop it with another 10%. We booked a private tour, if you have a chance please o the same, we visited Luxor wig a bigger group and it was very disappointing. In a private tour you can get all the answers to all of your questions, the tour guide will pay a lot more attention to all of you, it's more relaxing, and better for your tour guide too😉.

I have traveled to many places but, this is probably the most interesting! The whole day is so perfect and when we met up with our tour guide Hany the whole day became so much better. He is amazing! He spoke the most perfect English and knew absolutely everything! He couldn’t have done anything more for us if he tried! Fantastic day. I would thoroughly recommend. If you can request Hany, you must. You won’t regret it! Thanks Hany. Hope to see you again. Tony and Izzy

This tour was so well organised, we were picked up by our driver just before 2am who had snacks and drinks in the car for us. It was a long drive but that’s to be expected and is unavoidable. Our tour guide Hany was so funny, kind and is obviously so passionate about his work. Hany sorted the tickets to all the sites and cut us through the crowds in the museum showing us some highlights with his extensive knowledge. We opted to add on Nile cruise which was worth it as got a boat to ourselves and was very relaxing after a long drive. We also added on a visit into the architects temple, both on Hany’s recommendation and I’m happy we did. We also had a camel ride with Tutu who was such a kind and funny man. All in all it was a fantastic day and the history and sights were just amazing. Thank you !!!

My partner and I went on this tour on the 17th of September 2022. I contacted Manolo Tours roughly two months before our holiday in Egypt to enquire about this trip. Mahmoud was very friendly and accommodating and we were able to set the date right away. Once we arrived in Egypt, we had to provide some extra information such as the name of the hotel, room number, and passport photos. This was necessary for the travel permits that are mandatory for all tours to Cairo (and Luxor). We were told we could pay on the day of the tour in Euro, Dollar, or Egyptian Pound. The day before the trip, Mahmoud texted (Whatsapp) us with the pickup time and even offered to send two scarves along as a gift in case we didn’t have hats (against the sun). On the day itself, we were picked up at 02:00 by our driver Ahmed, who was wonderful. He explained to us the length of the journey to Cairo (460 km, 5.5 hours) and the stops we’d make along the way. He also brought a bag of drinks and snacks for us to enjoy. Upon arrival in Cairo, we were joined by our tour guide Hany. We specifically requested him after reading many good reviews about him on Tripadvisor. Every single one of those reviews was right! Apart from being marvellously passionate and exceptionally knowledgeable about his country’s history, he also knows people everywhere he goes. He’s surely well-respected. Our tour was in English, but Hany speaks multiple other languages as well, including Polish. Our first stop was the Egyptian Museum. It was extremely busy, but Hany navigated us through the museum as if it was almost empty. Now, the museum is huge. It would take days if not weeks to see everything. Hany selected a wide range of objects to show and explain to us. These did not only include the most popular artifacts, but also an array of lesser-known objects that (unfortunately) did not seem to have the interest of the wider public. Long story short: we got to see a mesmerising collection of Egyptian artifacts from various time periods. In addition, Hany was more than happy to take photos when requested and to answer any questions. I wanted to know about the oldest object in the museum, and he took us to see a mummy that, I believe, dates to 3300 BC. Then he took us to see the most recent arrival as well. Afterwards, we could opt for extra tours: - A boat trip on the Nile (€25 p.p.) - A tour through Old Cairo (€35 p.p.) Neither of these is mandatory. We chose to do the tour through Old Cairo because it sounded very interesting. And it was. Hany took us to two Coptic churches. The first was Saint Virgin Mary's Coptic Orthodox Church, better known as the ‘Hanging Church’, dating to the third century AD. While there, Hany told us various stories related to the church and the history of Christianity in Egypt. Subsequently, we visited the Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, dating to the fourth century AD. It is famous for the cavern atop which it was built. This cavern would have housed the Holy Family for three months while they were in Egypt. It was impressive to say the least. I cannot recommend this ‘inbetween tour’ enough, for this is a part of Cairo that you likely won’t see otherwise. Then we were picked up by Ahmed and driven to Giza, where our first stop was the restaurant where we had lunch. Consisting of a buffet, there’s something for everyone. Lunch is included in the price. You only pay for your drinks, which are inexpensive. I recommend the mango juice, which is fresh and delicious! During lunch, Hany explained several options for our visit to the pyramids. He recommended to take a camel tour in order to get away from the crowds and to see the famous panorama. We went with his recommendation. Prior to visiting the pyramids, we made a stop at a perfume essence store where we were given an informative presentation by a cordial gentleman on their production and use. This included welcome drinks and the opportunity to smell a variety of essences. We could mention any perfume, and the gentleman in question was able to show us the essence that were used to produce them. Now, it is not mandatory to purchase anything, and you’re not pressured into doing so. I had already decided that I wanted to purchase some perfume essence before coming to Egypt. As such, I purchased a bottle of lovely jasmine essence. Additionally, we also purchased some other essences as Christmas gifts for our mothers. About half an hour later we went to the pyramids. Walking around the premises was unreal. Hany explained many of their aspects and took some photos of us. There’s an option to enter the pyramids for an extra fee, but this is not a good idea for anyone suffering from claustrophobia as the passageways are pretty narrow. We opted for the Tomb of the Architect/Engineer (I'm not completely sure which one it was) instead, which lies next to one of the pyramids. There is proper space to move down there and there are hardly any other people. After walking around for a while, we started our camel tour. I’m not sure how to spell the name of our camel handler, but it’s pronounced as ‘two two’. He was very friendly and also took some photos of us. He took us past all of the pyramids. It would’ve been possible to go further to the Sphinx, but we decided to that by car instead. Of the Sphinx, I can only say that it was absolutely magnificent. Our last stop of the day was at the papyrus shop/museum. We got a short demonstration of how papyrus is made after which we had some time to look around. We purchased a small papyrus depicting a bright blue scarab. Then began the drive back to Hurghada, where we arrived around 21:00. Along the way, Mahmoud even called to ask how our day had been. It was a very long day, but it was absolutely worth it! We felt well taken care of during every step of the journey. I wholeheartedly recommend this trip from Manolo Tours to anyone who is interested in ancient Egyptian history and archaeology. If you decide you’d like to take this tour, I advise that you ask for Hany to be your guide. I’m not saying that other guides would not be good, but Hany was truly amazing. He made our day in Cairo truly unforgettable!

The trip is great. Everything was organized from beginning to end. He spoke to Mahmoud via WhatsApp about the details of the trip. He responded to all our questions and inquiries with cooperation, and this thing made us very happy. After the agreement, the trip was time for pick up on time, and our trip began with a cheerful driver and he did not hesitate to help us. We met In Cairo with our great guide, Mohamed, and he had a lot of information and his explanation was simple and the concept of i am admitted that it was a wonderful trip for us as a group and I want to thank everyone who organized this trip Mahmoud and Mohamed Mostafa the driver and our guide Mohamed. Great experience with a fantastic guide who provided excellent knowledge about the pyramids, sphinx and Cairo in general. Big thanks to Hany our guide for the detail and care and attention given to the group and to the drivers for making the journey as painless as a 5 and a half hour journey can be

It was a mixed start as the time for pick up was moved earlier at very last minute. However, when the driver came he couldn't have been more accommodating. He brought a bag full of snacks and drinks along for rhe journey. It takes approx 6 to 7 hours due to all the stops . The guide was fantastic was able to help with any questions and was knowledgeable about all aspects of the day. He was able to advise on where to buy memorabilia from and ensured we were not ripped off or indeed badgered by people. It was tailored to what we wanted to get from the visit. I woukd recommend this company to anyone wanting to make the same trip
