This private tour was great. It was customized to our timeline, we did not feel rushed at all. Our guide was very knowledgeable and delightful to be with. The buffet lunch was delicious. We swam in an amazing cenote and our guide snapped amazing pictures for us. This private excursion was well worth the price.

In every way, this was amazing. Arianna shared her knowledge and passion for culture with us, and flying on the rickshaw bikes through Coba was so peaceful. So was the tranquil, underground cenote, as was our driver Fernando. It was all truly spectacular! Thank you.

Fernando was a great tour guide. He was full of information answering all questions. The driver was safe and got us to all the places. I would highly recommend the tour was private and avoided large crowds. It’s all day and things went smooth.

This was absolutely the best way to tour Coba and Tulum! Joseline could not have been a better guide (we learned so much from her) and Luis was an excellent driver. We had a smooth, laid back pace and the lunch stop was delicious! Thank you so much for a great day trip. Would completely recommend to anyone.

Excellent tour. We loved our guide, Fernando. A big bus trip would’ve been miserable, so this was worth the high price tag. Take more cash than you think. Bike rental at Coba and drinks (even water) at lunch were extra charges. Also be aware it’s really an 11-12 hour day depending on traffic, even though the description says 7-8 hours.

The tour with Guillermo was fantastic! He has such a wealth of knowledge on a wide variety of topics such as history, biology and other sciences, which really enriched our tour experience. Both he and our driver Luis were extremely professional, punctual, and friendly. Seeing the history at both the ruins of Tulum and Coba was incredible, but riding bikes through the jungle of Coba was absolutely the highlight of our vacation. Going to the cenote afterwards to cool off was nice as well, and it has some really cool stalactites inside. We are grateful to have had the chance to have this experience and can’t recommend it enough! It’s definitely worth it to do the private tours…you won’t regret it! Today was a wonderful LONG day! Joseline (aka Chepa) was very informative and kept me and my teenage children entertained. She knew lots of information and pointed out things that other guides might skip over. Glad we got to see these 2 unique cities and the cenote swim was the perfect ending. We came from Isla Mujeres and were picked up in Cancun at 7:30am and we did not return back to Isla Mujeres until 6:30pm. This is truly an ALL DAY tour. Needless to say we will sleep well tonight!

Very enjoyable day to be had, thanks to the knowledgeable and friendly guides Fernando and Mario. Not only were they very accommodating to our schedule and cadence, but they adjusted the schedule to avoid crowds and reduce downtime between sites. Both guides were very friendly, responsive and filled with interesting information about each site.

We had a really lovely day with Guillermo (guide) and Tony (driver) on our recent trip to Cancun. As the description of the tour suggests, you have complete control over your itinerary and customized based on your preferences (and private!). We actually chose to visit Coba first, followed by the cenote and end our day at Tulum. The team was prompt and was ready and waiting for us at our hotel our chosen time (9am). Guillermo is the best tour guide we’ve had. He is very thoughtful, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about sharing the history and culture of Coba & Tulum. He is well traveled, and is very well prepared - both from stocking our van cooler with refreshments to having pocketbooks full of photos and guides relevant to the discussions at hand. We even got to benefit from his years of experience and connections when the ticket line for the Tulum ruins stretched for more than 50 people - in just a few minutes, he was able to snag two tickets for us and we walked right in. But, more importantly, he is professional, easy going, and just fun to hang out with. He’s also a great DJ for the time in the private van while Tony drove us from one site to another. Both are bilingual in Spanish and English, and it took a lot of stress out of the day to know that we could get around with any communication barriers. At Coba, we did part of the tour on foot and part on the rented bikes to see the historic ruins. Lunch was at a local restaurant just next to the archeological zone which features traditional Mayan cuisine and more familiar items as well. Definitely try all of Guillermo’s recommendations (and the guacamole)! Tony also joined in during lunch and we had a great time swapping stories and just enjoying everyone’s company. They have great rapport with the staff and we were treated well. After a refreshing dip in a nearby cenote (which we pretty much had to ourselves), we finished our trip at the Tulum ruins and returned back to our hotel at around 6pm. The cenote is an otherworldly experience - it's no wonder the ancient Mayans considered it to be an entrance to the underworld. Overall I give this duo and this tour 5 stars and would travel with them again!

Guermo was knowledgeable and friendly. Even had some athletic fun competition at cenote site with one of our travelers. The cenote was off the beaten path and thus we were only tourists there at the time. Van was good size and comfortable. Guermo's discussions were at a pace I could keep up with, unlike some other spanish speakers who quickly lose me. Coba and Tulum ruins are a must-see in Mexico and a private tour for me is the only way to go in my opinion.

This was worth the price! David, our driver was a true professional. Guillermo was exceptionally knowledgeable and provided so much historical perspective. Ask for them by name! I will be recommending them to all my friends

Mario, the tour guide was amazing! The whole experience was fantastic. They contacted us to define the pick up time, were very flexible with the schedule given that we had small kids. The tour in Tulum was awesome and we went to a cenote that is more exclusive, very few people and at the end we had only our family there. The kids loved it. I definitely recommend this tour and this company for any tour in Cancun. Once again, Mario was incredibly friendly, patient and professional.

We loved the tour of Coba and Tulum. Mario was the most knowledgeable and patient guide. He answered all of our questions and provided many interesting facts about the Mayans. We loved the cenote - great way to end the day!

This was a great trip to Tulum, Coba, and a cenote - a truly enjoyable and special day. The customer service people set us up with a private tour for 5 friends (staying in 2 different locations), for a price that’s comparable to the big bus tours. We were able to take our time at the ruins without being rushed, which made it very relaxing. Many tours just go to Tulum and skip Coba, but we actually liked Coba better than Tulum. Our guide Mario took us to an awesome restaurant in Coba (included as part of the tour) and the food was amazing. One of the highlights of the day was swimming in the cenote at the end of the day - it wasn’t one of the large, commercial ones like near Chitzen Itza, and we had the whole cenote to ourselves - it was amazing. The best part of doing this private tours - no sales pitches, no stops at tourist traps like many of the large and less expensive tours. Special thanks to our guide/driver Mario, who was very informative, helpful, and made sure that we all had a great day. I would definitely do a tour with Cancun Vacation Experts again.

Mario was amazing, he took his time explaining everything and helping with a injured mother in law. We even decided to change the second half of our tour to do something else and he accommodated the trip to us. Can't say enough great things about Mario.

I can not even begin to express to you how special Mario made our experience to Tulum- Coba and a wonderful Cenote. We traveled with our elderly mother (who had a walker), and having Mario to guide us was like having another family member. He cheerfully tweeked the whole day to accommodate us while providing a true Historian's dialog of not only the local Mayan lore- but any and all topics of interest. Seriously - do not hesitate to request this chivalrous maestro.

We had such a great time on this tour! Mario was incredibly knowledgeable and made the day wonderful! We started with Tulum, and it really was like having a behind the scenes tour. Tulum itself is beautiful, and we learned all about the history of the Mayans in Tulum. After we left Tulum, Mario made sure to stop for us to buy local Mayan honey since we said we’d like some. He made sure we got exactly what we wanted. Then we had a traditional Mayan lunch with pork, chicken, and fish. It was all good, but the puerco pibil was amazing. After lunch, we toured Cobá, which we’d never heard of before this tour. We’re all so glad we went to see these primitive ruins in the jungle. After Cobá, we headed to a cenote to swim, then back to our hotel. This was a long day, but it was fantastic. We highly recommend this tour, especially if you’d like to learn some history during your stay in Cancun!

We used this company for round trip transportation in February, 2020 and then again for roundtrip transport January, 2021. We decided to do a private tour with them based on the great experience with the transportation. We had Mario as our driver to and from the airport and on this tour. He is great, very knowledgeable and friendly. We hope to be back again in 2022 and will use them again!
