Cannot recommend this experience highly enough, both for the landscape and our guide. Juan doesn’t deliver a scripted lecture like some tours, but rather a free flowing conversation filled with the history, geology, ecology and culture of the Magallanes region that adapted and customized to our interests and itinerary. My only regret is only scheduling a single day to visit Torres del Paine, and already planning a future trip back to Patagonia.

Torres Del Paine is such a beautiful place to visit. The landscape and the color of the water on the lakes were amazing. Our guide Gerardo Jaque made it even more enjoyable as he explained everything about the park and pointed out all picture perfect location for photos. I highly recommend Amigos Tours for Torres Del Paine full day tour from Punta Arenas. Thanks for the memories.

Geraldo was very knowledgeable about the geology of the area, providing insightful perspective of the day-long tour along with history of the region, as well as being engaging and well spoken in both English and Spanish. He and Philip (driver) were flexible and worth spending the day with in a foreign country. Highly recommend.

The day we spent with Christian (guide) and Jimmy (driver) in Torres del Paine was everything we could have hoped for. The weather was truly wonderful, Christian provided us with a lot of information on the park and was able to answer any questions we had. Jimmy was a very safe driver and navigated the dirt portions of the road very well. As we toured Christian was continual asking us if we wanted to stop for pictures, as a result we got a number of great pictures. Jimmy also took a lot of pictures and after the tour he sent us the pictures he had taken of us. A real added bonus. The pictures in the review were all taken by our guides with their cameras. After many tours of South America we would deem the guide and the driver for your company as exceptional, An amazing experience.

The view of the lakes and mountains of Torres Del Paine. It's so beautiful which is memorable for both of us. The Guide Juan was so knowledgeable with the whole park and we enjoy the information he shared with us. He was also very helpful and experience guide especially on the wind condition and even helped my wife when she encounter strong wind against her.

Professional Communication: the owner Gerardo managed interacting with guest himself upon reservation. His international exposure, knowledge from academics and compassion having lived aboard ensured a smooth and professional communication. Engaged guides: having interacted with a number of tour guide - Christian, Jorge, they had professional certification, skills, passion and pride. They leveraged the private tour to maximize what matters for the most to each guest. They are for sure jot the cheapest tour supplier and are not supposed to compete with large group tour operators, but we felt the service well justified what we paid for. So if you are on tight schedule and don’t want to waste any minute in Punta Arenas or want to get to insightful conversation with locals knowledgeable about the culture and geography, this is a safe bet.

Christian and Geraldo offered a very personally engaged private tour for our family. We started at 6 and the tour stretched almost till 9 as I stop often for photography. They were patient with our request and informative to our questions. Christian is an expert of waterfalls and next to Spanish, English he can speak Chinese with us and Gerado is a photographer too. Amazing to manage the trip while getting to know a few new friends. Thanks.

Gerardo was amazing. He spoke perfect English, he knew a lot about the park and made for a wonderful experience. Felipe who drove us made sure the road was smooth, even when it wasn't. I would highly recommend booking Gerardo Jaque at amigospatagonia.com He is terrific.

Guide Juan was extremely knowledgeable, in general, and particularly about Patagonia, the park, the animals. He was able to both answer our specific questions as well as spontaneously inform us of the interesting aspects of the park and its history. We had extremely unusual snowy weather in November and he did his best to chase the clear skies and achieve the views for which Patagonia is so well known, as well as show pursue some areas we would not otherwise have seen to compensate for cloud cover. We saw 3 pumas! among many other birds/animals. Felipe was an excellent driver. Both very pleasant company.

No trip to Patagonia would be complete without this tour! It is unforgettable, with incredible scenery, unique wildlife and multiple climate zones all in one place. Our tour guide, Gerardo, was fantastic. He spoke great English, knew the history behind the park, the best places to stop for photos and was well-versed in geology. Having a guide, although more expensive, gives you a chance to learn much more about the park and cave than if you just go on your own. Gerardo explained the flow of the water, glaciers and how the park formed, along with many other things. Stops included Puerto Natales, Cueva Milodon, a gift shop near Argentina, unplanned stops to take pictures of wildlife, and if course many stops around Torres del Paine. A great guide can get you to the best picture taking spots that you might not otherwise find. On top of the spectacular landscape, some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, there is also unique wildlife. We saw pink flamingoes, guanacos, condors, an armadillo and a fox, on top of a number of interesting birds that I did not recognize. It was a long day; the drive from Punta Arenas is not short, which is why it's nice to have a driver. Also, if there is a breakdown, there is no auto service nearby. The stops broke up what was about a 15 hour tour, personalized for the 2 of us. Overall an unforgettable experience if you love nature and landscapes! Totally worth every penny and highly recommended. Thank you, Amigos!

We booked a 16-hour private tour of Torres Del Paine National Park and the Ceuva del Miladon with Gerardo, the owner of Amigos Patagonia. We left and ended in Punta Arenas, were he picked up and dropped us off. (shoutout to Jose, who was a great driver!) He went above and beyond in every way. He was on time and extremely knowledgeable about the history, flora and fauna, and animal life of the region. His passion for the area and his work came through in his ability to entertain, demonstrate kindness, and tailor the tour to our needs and desires--answering every little question we had with such description and welcoming more. We felt so welcomed and safe. We felt like we ended the tour with a new friend. Without hesitation, we would book him again if we were back in the area. It is unfortunate that we can only give a 5-star rating max, because we'd like to give a 10! It was especially helpful that he was bilingual and we bonded over our U.S. and Chilean experiences together. Thank you Gerardo!!!

This was an awesome tour; where to begin? First of all, Torres del Paine is incredible to behold. It is a long day going from Punta Arenas to Torres, but the sights are other-worldly. Secondly, Cueva Milodon is remarkable. However, the day is made by the tour guide. Our guide, Gerardo, spoke fantastic English, was enthusiastic and engaging, but most of all, knew his subject. So, we learned about the geology of the area, the history (both good and bad) of the region and the best sites to see. There were numerous stops for amazing photos, a hike to a waterfall, stops for coffee and snacks and plenty of H2O. In the shadow of Torres (literally), the car wouldn't start. Gerardo and the driver worked very hard to get us up and running. At one point Gerardo was literally holding jumper cables (without clips) to the battery terminals. A few moments later, he was back telling us the history of Torres... Why take a tour instead of driving yourself? This is one reason. Most importantly, a good guide will give you useful information and you will learn a lot about a wide range of subjects. We saw guanacos, condors, a fox, an armadillo, pink flamingoes and other large birds. We looked for pumas in certain areas but did not see any. This was an unforgettable day and the highlight of our stay in Punta Arenas. Highly recommended!

An incredible experience. Full marks to Gerado and Felipe who went out of their way to make this experience unique and comfortable. Their knowledge was exceptional. They gave us 15 hours of their time and were constantly interested in our satisfaction. The place is mesmeric in terms of natural beauty. The wildlife is also something to behold. Highly recommended. Seen fewer better places in the 80 countries I have visited.

Definitely one of the best tours that I have been on. Phillipe was our driver and Christian was our tour guide. Being able to see the beauty of Torres del Paine in person was amazing. Loved that we were able to take our time taking in the gorgeous scenery (and to take so many photos). In addition to the wonderful landscapes, we saw llamas, various birds, livestock, and other animals. Phillipe and Christian were so patient and great for pointing out the many wildlife that we saw along the way. I also loved learning about their culture, the history of the ancient and indigenous people, and other facts about the area. Such a wonderful and fun experience. I would highly recommend it! Thanks!

I can’t say enough good things about this tour and our guide. Juan (aka Johnny) was so kind and attentive and knowledgeable. He is beaming with passion and enthusiasm for not only his job but Patagonia. Truly this experience was incredible and worth every single penny. Ask for Juan when you book

I booked actually all three tours with the company including the reserve hiking and he city tour, along with this one. The experience is great. Their car is big and comfortable. The guide very professional without being too talkative for the long drive. The weather for all three of our tours are bad but each time the guide makes the experience still enjoyable and lovely. Being a private tour they can change the agenda within reasonable range easily. They are also observant of the group interest. Gerardo has been very warm and genuine. Would recommend the company to everyone!

Gerardo was fantastic! Exceeded our expectations. Excellent English as he had lived in the U.S. for a few years. Very professional, intelligient and caring. He was always making sure we were comfortable. He had great information and lots of fun facts and stories. He picked us up at our hotel in Punta arenas. We had just returned from a 5 day Antarctic cruise on Silversea. We had a limited amount of time to see Patagonia and this private tour worked very well for us. Gerardo was right on time at 6a.m. to pick us up. He had a excellent private driver for us the whole time, so Gerardo could focus on the tour. They loaded our luggage and we were off. Along the way we had multiple rainbows and multiple double rainbows which we thougt boded well for this day. The drive up to Patagonia was uneventful. There was not a lot to see, but Gerardo pointed out occasional items. We dropped our luggage off at The Singular and then headed to Torres Del Paine. This is not the usual stop for him but he accomodated us with no problem. Torres Del Paine is an amazing scenic adventure. We saw everything that was on the promotion for this tour and then some (see our photos) Breathtaking! We saw lots of animals that Gerardo pointed out to us and told us about flamingos, guanacos and lots of other wildlife. If you're in the area this place is not to be missed. You could spend days or weeks exploring. But, you can see a heck of a lot in one day. Gerardo and his driver were so much fun, they became our new friends and we highly recommend his tour. We enjoyed him so much that we had him pick us up a day later for the drive back to Punta Arenas and our flight home.
