Wonders of China Tour The 16 night tour of China was amazing. It exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Great accommodation, tours and the food was excellent. My wife if gluten intolerant and they accommodated her everyday that we were in China. Very well organised trips daily both inclusive and optional. Amazing photo opportunities during the tour. Our main tour guide Britney (Zhang Ru) was amazing, very well organised and knew when to attend the tours so that the waiting time was minimal, a major credit to Wendy Wu. All of our local guides were very knowledgeable of their cities and regions. I would highly recommend Wendy Wu Tours 100%. A very enjoyable experience was had by all in our group.

We are so glad we chose Wendy Wu as our holiday company for a special trip to see the delights of China. The options available and brochure descriptions made the selection of our trip a simple step. The booking process and support including preparation of the visa applications was excellent. The trip was China Delights which lasted 18 days including flight times, and in our opinion it was ideal to see the main sights of China. The travel between the different locations varied from internal flights, a short cruise and the bullet train with all the usual hassles of getting tickets, handling your baggage being professionally taken care off by the Wendy Wu team. From arriving in China to our departure we were in the hands of an amazing tour guide called Amanda. This lady with the support of the local tour guides at each destination really made this holiday a delight! The hotels included on the tour were all excellent and the food in the local restaurants was very good. We cannot complete this review without saying how Amanda managed to make the trip so enjoyable. We were introduced to many aspects of Chinese culture, her special brand of humour and constant effort to make us free from stress in all aspects of the travel. The local tour guides also provided excellent coverage of their own particular locations.

Just back from a 14 day Wendy Wu trip. Penny Li was a brilliant guide. She really took care of "Penny's family"

Yes, it was busy but our guides, George and Rocky, made sure that we were there pretty early so that we would miss most of the crowds. It was busy but we were able to get, up close and personal, with these amazing terracotta warriors. We were so very amazed with the sight of these finds, still in the ground. It was everything, and so much more, than we thought. We couldn't believe how many there were. Our time there was managed well and we got to see as much as possible.

We did an amazing trip including the Yangtze River in April. Our national guide Betty was fantastic. She shared so much of her life stories and the culture of China. Wendy Wu tours were easy to deal with from start. There were changes to the itinerary times because of an unexpected conference in Beijing but we were still able to have the full China experience and Betty went out of her way to accommodate everyone. I would definitely recommend using Wendy Wu tours to China and hopefully you will have Betty as your guide.

Wow, where do I start! from visa application right the way through Wendy Wu has been second to none, smooth transitions to Xian from Shanghai and Beijing. Terracotta Warriors and Great Wall is are must. Our national guide George was fantastic, nothing was ever too much trouble, his love and knowledge of his country shone through in every aspect of the journey. He has given us a unique insight into life and history in China, over and above the local guides (who were very good). We would definitely recommend Wendy Wu tours to amazing China and especially George. Thank you.

Had a fantastic time on the Glories of China trip with Wendy Wu. Saw so much but it never felt rushed and we had enough free time at each site. Michelle was an excellent guide and looked after us all so well. She was very knowledgeable, very well organised and very friendly. She couldn't have done more for us. Would recommend this two week trip to anyone who wants to see the main highlights of China in two weeks.

We have just spent 16 days from Beijing 23/10/18... on a tour of China with Wendy Wu. We certainly could not speak highly enough of our brilliant tour guide "Jason". He steered a group of 29 amazingly, on & off trains, flights, buses and made the trip such a success. Thank you The tour itself, was totally full on and not much more could have been included. If you decide to do a Wendy Wu, expect full long days, much walking (ok for retirees), chinese lunches & meals...(varied) . Had an amazing time in China. This was our second tour, having not seen Yangtze or much outside the capital cities before, enjoyed heaps.

What a fantastic tour it was...we visited many cities and saw lots of attractions and ate various styles of Chinese cuisine. The dumplings in Xi'an were a highlight not to be missed. Our guide Ivan, was very professional, knowledgeable, and nothing was any trouble for him. Ivan seamlessly managed the very full-on schedule without missing a beat. Starting from Shanghai, the Bund, Colonial architecture, night river cruise and riding on the Maglev was fantastic. Along the way, the Yangtze River cruise through the 3 gorges was relaxing, the pandas, Terracotta Warriors, silk factory, jade factory, pagodas, and finally Beijing, the highlight for me, the Great Wall. The optional cultural tours are not to be missed. Fantastic Tour!!! Fantastic guide!!!!

My husband and I just returned from a marvellous Wonders of China trip with Wendy Wu! We were blown away by so many wonderful experiences, of which the Terracotta Warriors was one. We cannot believe how much we experienced in China over the past few weeks. Not sure if you can experience this much in a short space of time without an organised tour. We highly recommend Wendy Wu Tours. Great itinerary and optional tours. Too many highlights to mention. Every single day was an enjoyable adventure. Fabulous group of people to travel with and our National Wendy Wu Tour guide Annie obviously LOVES her country and her job. Her charming personality, lovely way with people, attention to detail, local knowledge, her sense of humor and efficient organisational skills ensured that everything run smoothly.Through Annie's eyes we discovered so many unknown wonders of China - Thank you Wendy Wu .... thank you Annie and our great travel companions! Truly an unforgettable experience!

This formed part of the Wendy Wu tour 'In pursuit of Pandas' and we were guided to the city walls followed by 4 hours viewing the Terracotta Army the next day. Our guide was Isaac and was very knowledgeable about the history of the Army. We also had local guided tours in Beijing and Chengdu. Very good organisation.

I am a teacher who went to China (visited Shanghai, Chengdu, Xi'an and Beijing) with 5 other teachers and 13 students. Although China was not somewhere I really wanted to go, I realised quickly how lucky I was to be there. China is an amazing place with rich history and very tasty food! Our tour guide Ivan was absolutely amazing. He was patient, thoughtful kind and funny! He made sure that we had the best experience of China as possible. He looked after students that had food intolerances and always had a smile on his face. I knew we were in good hands as soon as I met Ivan. What an incredible tour guide!

This was great holiday experience,we saw all the highlights of China that we had wanted to see. Our tour guide Nick did an excellent job getting us around China and made sure we all enjoyed our experience. The terracotta soldiers just blew your mind it will be something we will never forget, and we enjoyed all the different types of food at different restaurants each night. We had a great group of people on tour which made it very enjoyable and all had a good time. The holiday is very full on but you get to see a lot of places that you might not get to if you did it your self. Wendy Wu tours did a great job.

Just back from our 25 day Grand Tour of China, and what a grand tour it was, visiting all the highlights of China and some of those not so often visited. Our national guide Sophie looked after us extremely well from getting our case which was misrouted in Hong Kong back to us in just a few hours, helping guide us to ATM machines, and scheduling tours to miss the major crush of people on things like the Great Wall and the Panda’s made the tour all the more enjoyable. Not to mention making sure the restaurants we dined at were good quality and that the dishes of the meals were varied. The local guides were all knowledgeable in their own cities and provided detailed information. Whilst Sophie herself led the tours round Xian, her home town, and it showed in her love of the city. All in all a very enjoyable albeit tiring tour. Would I travel with Wendy Wu again? Yes definitely!

. . This was a wonderful holiday experience which enabled us to see all the sights on our 'Bucket List' and more besides. We travelled from Beijing to Xian to Shanghai; seeing many other cities in between and cruising on the Yangsee. Our tour guide Michelle was delightful ,so caring and so determined to ensure we all enjoyed ourselves. She was very knowledgeable and we did enjoy learning about China and the Chinese people -and listening to all her jokes! . The Great wall, terracotta Army and pandas lived up to our expectations and the 'ship in the elevator' experience was amazing! Wendy Wu tours can always be relied upon to take you to some special eating houses and to provide a full holiday experience where everything is taken care of! We enjoyed being with such a wonderful group of people on our tour. Friends from Australia, from New Zealand and the USA , were all such good fun. The one thing we didn't realise was China blocks Facebook and Google, so no access -maybe not a bad thing on holiday? And the security checks in the airports are unbelievably complicated and seem to change for each airport.(all batteries have to be carried in hand luggage!) We came home tired but with lots to tell our friends and family. Hopefully sometime in the future we may well return to visit a different part and to see some of rural China.

We recently returned from an amazing tour of China, taking in many wonderful and breathtaking sights. The trip was so well organised and Summer our guide was wonderful. She was so knowledgeable and interesting, always very pleasant and funny, she made our trip a wonderful experience. The trip itself was very full on, early starts and long exhausting days, but well worth it. We saw all we expected and much more. We did an add on in Hong Kong which we thought was a waste of time and money, as we were in Kowloon, away from anything worth seeing. Not a good experience. We would definitely recommend Wendy Wu for their organisation and informative tour.

Tour is for mostly the older folks. Enjoyed this immensely. The sights are amazing and George is a fantastic tour leader. He is funny and knowledgeable. Highly recommend this tour to anyone thinking about it. It is a fast paced tour, you have to keep up. Chinese food is served every meal which is delicious but after 12 days becomes alittle monotonous. I met some great people and had a fantastic time!

We were astounded by the size of the Terracotta Warriors tourist complex. The Chinese Government has installed huge pavillions over the pits to protect these archeological treasures. It’s magnificent and breathtaking when you first see the volume of the silent clay warriors. We did an evening bus tour around the most wonderful brilliantly lit up sites of this spotless city, Xi’an. We were lucky to undertake a night tour of a brilliant promenade of new, but old traditional Chinese style structures, pagodas, statues, which feature on this pedestrian walkway full of Disneyland type fantasies. These were all lit up under brilliant multi-coloured lighting displays. Absolutely wonderful! It was great to see the locals dancing, practising group tai chi, playing chess/marjong in parks and open spaces all over this exciting city. Our fantastic guide Lisa, is a very well educated, humourous, kind, caring and dedicated professional. We have travelled the world and can honestly say we have seen great guides throughout our travels but Lisa gives her clients a 24 hour service and is unparalleled in her expertise and ability to keep everyone in her group feeling secure and happy. We experienced Tai Chi, Calligraphy, live Chinese Theatre, exotic and varied food choices and watched in awe how China is undertaking the biggest infrastructure building in its history. Well done Lisa for giving us such a fantastic adventure in this new China! Susan and Les.

Our personal tour guide Jason was fantastic. His humour, product knowledge, attention to detail and professionalism created a wonderful tour of the Terracotta Warriors for all of us on the bus. We were one of the first tour groups to arrive at 8.30am and therefore avoided the massive crowds and heat of arriving later in the day. The Small goose Pagoda is fascinating and se in a beautiful Chinese garden. The restaurant for lunch was clean, modern, the food delicious and plentiful. The bus driver and quality and size of the bus made travelling to and from the venue a pleasure. The attention to detail was amazing and I would recommend Wendy Wu to anyone considering a trip to China as the foremost Company to use.
