Great evening on the Douro. Seemless from meeting at the marina to the cruise to return, this cruise was a highlight for our group during our trip. Relaxing and informative with wonderful food and wines. Our hosts could not have been more accommodating and fun. Highly recommend.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time out on the Douro river with Daniel and Leo. Daniel was a brilliant story-teller, regaling us with his impressive life experiences and witty takes - kept us engaged throughout the trip. The green wine and cheese platter was a perfect complement to the perfect, sunny weather. Overall, a great way to experience Porto on the water.

We had the best time ever! Amazing views, delicious snacks and an overall incredible experience. The views from the river are a must when visiting Porto and we couldn’t have asked for better guides than Paolo and Daniel!

We were totally mesmerized by the beauty of the River and surrounding city of Porto. Paulo was magnificent in every way, explaining about the winds, the water, the fish, the Douro valley. It was all so interesting and a fun experience being on the water. He was a charming host in every way. This is a must do to get a different and beautiful perspective of Porto.

We had a wonderfull time on the boat, my parents, brother, sister in law and myself. They told great stories about the history of Porto and Port. They were really pleassant and polite company to be with on the boat! I would recommend it to everybody!

Daniel was absolutely amazing We had a blast and it was the highlight of our trip. He was so knowledgeable and so great food wine sites people it was all just so so great seriously cannot wait to go back. He even went above and beyond and connected us with some great restaurants as well.

Absolutely fantastic experience! We all really enjoyed the time with Daniel and Paulo who made the afternoon so much fun. Great wine complimented by fab food while we cruised the river. Fully enjoyed our 2-hour tour, hosted by Antonio and Inez. Seeing Porto from the water is a must-do in our opinion, and hearing about the history and local culture from our hosts who were from both sides of the river allowed us to more fully appreciate today’s Porto. Now if we could just figure out how to do the same tour for the Festa de Sao Joao…

We had a fantastic time with Daniel and Christina cruising the Douro River in their luxury boat. Daniel is a good tour guide who imparted many details about Porto. It was a lovely way to spend an early Sunday evening.

The most wonderful trip . The highlight of our time in Porto. The yacht was amazing. A perfect size for 4 of us, with the chance to move to different areas to sit. And a toilet which was a bonus! Daniel and Paulo were fantastic! They were great hosts, sharing information of the bridges and facts about Porto which was great! We tasted some delicious authentic food and green wine flowed. We would all highly recommend this trip and so much better than the big ships that go by. Daniel captured some wonderful photos during the sunset whilst Paulo did a 360 on the boat ensuring we got every angle. They both also shared some great recommendations of places to visit and places to eat which we visited later in our trip. Thank you!! We would highly recommend and 100% do it again!

Daniel and his wife were excellent hosts. The boat was in perfect condition, the food and wine flavorful and his stories entertaining. Everyone from my 12 year old son, 15 year old daughter and “the folks” enjoyed a leisurely tour on the water.

The reviews for DouroBoatman, Lda were simply fantastic and our experience definitely exceeded expectations. We had the amazing Inies & Cristina/Kristina as our yatch skippers. They were among the nicest people that we encountered in our Portugal trip. Our kids who were clinging on to us the whole trip finally ended up being friends with Cristina/Kristina. She took care of them like her own family. The whole experience was surreal because of these two amazing guides. Thank you Inies & Cristina/Kristina!

Our experience with Daniel and Alberto was nothing short of perfect! It was our very favorite excursion on our two week trip to Portugal. These gentlemen made it so fun for our family, including our sons in “driving” the boat with them and giving their soft drinks in wine glasses like us. It was so memorable and our pictures were absolutely incredible. We saw the bridges and both sides of the city from the private boat. We went out to the port wall and had a beautiful charcuterie board prepared especially for us. The green wine and port from a local “friend” were nothing short of exceptional. Cannot recommend this operator more highly. The boat was pristine and perfectly sized for our family. We discussed culture and politics, and they gave us great tips for the rest of our time in various regions of Portugal. Worth every penny, and from our point of view a tremendous value. You absolutely should do this if you have the opportunity versus a big boat. It was so personal and so welcoming and just absolutely everything we could’ve imagined.
