It was my first time surfing, Conor was able to work with me in our private session to be able to successfully stand up and surf multiple waves! He went above and beyond, even helping bring me to catch more waves when I was getting tired. I would highly recommend him!

So, we actually had to cancel because there were no waves. How often does that happen on the North Shore? But Conor was great. He kept me informed by text and a call the morning of letting me know that Mother Nature wasn't cooperating. He was so apologetic that he had to cancel, like it was his fault. If I ever get the chance to come back, I'll try again and ask for Conor.

Surfing with Conor was super fun!! I'm so glad my husband and I got him as an instructor! He was very knowledgeable, thorough, kind, and patient with me as I was learning! I really enjoyed the whole experience. He went above and beyond for us!! Thank you so much!!

Conor did a wonderful job! Got to the site early in the morning, took a few minutes to explain the board to me since this was my first time out, and the into the water! We had the area to ourselves, and I really enjoyed it! After beginners luck Conor helped steady me when I was getting frustrated, and I ended with my best run of the day! Great experience, I hope to bring my family back to work with Conor next time!

our boys had their first lesson in surfing and what a great way to start off with Conor, who emphasized safety, but also made it fun for them. we had them do a shared lesson, so he took them out one at a time. I'd recommend a private lesson so you can get the entire 2 hours of surfing in the water. if we were staying in the north shore we would've considered one more lesson but at least now they know the basics and they can continue their lessons here at home.

Connor was a wonderful, patient teacher. We (both beginners) were both able to stand up and ride out multiple waves due to Connor’s coaching and encouragement. He was attentive to safety concerns and worked hard to maximize our time on the water. I would highly recommend this experience to anyone looking to surf during their trip to Oahu!

Learning how to surf with Conor was an AMAZING experience. I'm usually terrified of the water, but after this, I can't wait to surf again. My sister and I found out about Catch'a Wave from my boss at work, who highly recommended Conor. It was both our first time surfing, and it was very fun and memorable. Conor was very patient and very thorough with instructions, technique, and safety. He gave us a lot of tips and corrections so that we could fine-tune our surfing craft and stand up on our board as much as possible. He even let us stay an extra 30 minutes, which was very nice of him to do. Very nice dude. 10/10 recommend and would do it with him again. Mahalo brother!

This was our first time learning how to surf. Catch’a Wave was a fun and memorable experience for us. Conor is very thorough with instructions and safety guidance. He is patient and made sure we felt confident before going in the water. We were able to catch many successful waves during our private lessons and this made it worth while for us. Great experience!

I had an amazing Session with Connor. He asked in advanve what I hoped to learn and did deliver exactly that! And all that in a fun and kind way.

My boyfriend and I are complete beginners, and Conor was so patient with teaching us the basics. I learn best by jumping right in, and Conor made sure we got lots to reps in to practice the techniques he taught us on the beach. I highly recommend lessons with Conor!!

Conor is a really good surf instructor. Patient, relaxed, and attentive. Helped us with the basics, safety pointers, queuing etiquette, and most importantly confidence. We are every glad to have done our first surf lesson ever with him at Catch'a Wave and definitely recommend you check out his surfing and paddle board lessons.

Conor was super awesome, and surfing was super fun! It was my first time and by the end of the session I was able to catch some waves without falling over. I highly recommend this.

We booked a private lesson for my husband, my 11 year old, and myself. Conor was amazing! First of all, he happily took our 11 year old where a lot of other places require a higher minimum age. He was so patient with our rambunctious and energy filled son. Second, I thought his pricing was more than fair for the one on one attention we got. Honestly, my husband and I were happily exhausted before Conor or our son was! 😃 We would go back to him when we come back to Oahu. All three of us got up on our boards and rode waves successfully! Conor explains the rules of the road/waves, encouraged us all the way through the lesson, and never gave up on us even when we might have ourselves. Honestly, it was just so much fun and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him and out in the surf. Conor was communicative and even called me the night before to suggest the best time of day for our lessons. Great guy, experienced surfer, we felt completely safe in his hands.

Connor was flexible and resourceful. He provided good guidance during lessons. We as a parents felt safe and kids had a blast.

My girlfriend and I booked lessons with Connor and had an amazing time! I grew up in the Midwest and had only experienced the ocean once before, but with no waves. I got out there with Connor and I got up on my first wave with ease. He was relatable, knowledgeable and most of all fun.

Conor was absolutely amazing and is patient when it comes to teaching surf lessons. My gf and I went and it was my first time so he gave me a bit more attention when it came to teaching. He even gave us a few waves to ride together He placed us in the best area possible for where we were, even when the waters were slightly shallow, so he did his absolute best when it came to safety. There were some rocks and a bit of reef, so be sure to bring some water shoes to not hurt yourself like I did. In all, Conor is wonderful and I would go to Catch A Wave again for surf lessons in the future!
