Captain Mike took us on a super airboat ride. He was very informative about the ecology of the Everglades and we saw tons of wildlife. He was full of recommendations for other ways to see the Everglades.

We had an amazing time with Captain Mike. We booked the 90 minutes private tour for our family of 4 and saw plenty of alligators of different sizes, Mike provided super interesting background info in a very enthusiastic way. By going far enough put we saw no other boats and it felt like we had the Everglades to ourselves. We simply loved it! Thanks for a great time!

We had Captain Willy for our airboat ride. He was so knowledgeable and informative! Wonderful experience! We saw several alligators who swam fight up to our boat!

Captain Mike warmly welcomed us and we climbed onto the airboat. He handed out noise cancelling headphones and we headed into the watery grass! The boat floats like a hovercraft and you feel you are up close with nature. Mike stopped often and talked to us about the ecosystem we were in. He was extremely knowledgeable about it all!! Flora fauna and above all the Aligators. We saw birds digging worms out of flower stems, and birds catching insects who had landed on the boat. The Aligators were the highlight for us! We loved this tour. It was exciting to be on the water in this ecosystem so close to Miami yet so far in terms of the environment. It was 90 mins and semi private. 6 on our boat. The highlight of our stay in Miami and we thoroughly recommend it! Captain Mike was the perfect host and I wish we could have stayed longer!

Our guides Willy and Mike were very knowledgeable and friendly! Willy introduced us to his bird friends, as well as educated us on native wildlife and plants . We got to see a few alligators up close. The tour was great, informative and very fun! I must say Willy’s laugh was contagious- you could tell how much he respects the Everglades and how important it is to educate others

Excellent experience! Highlight of our trip. Captain Robby was extremely knowledgeable about the both the entire ecosystem and the animals. He knows that area of the Everglades by heart and he knows the gators by name! And they recognize him, too. Didn't know if I really wanted a 90 minute private tour, but now I wish it had been twice as long. If you want to ride an airboat, and you want the "Gentle Ben" experience, this is the company for you!

Joseph took us out for one memorable evening. He is so knowledgeable on the everglades and shared lots of great information. If you come to Miami, the River of grass is a must! Thank you for a life long memory.

Great family experience! Group included a 9 year old and 4 year old and tour was age appropriate. Booked a private 90 minute excursion. Captain Mike was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Saw gators! Would highly recommend!

We decided to do the 2 1/2 private airboat tour. It was wonderful. Captain Joe made it a point to find the crocs. He was knowledgeable about the flora and fauna. I would highly recommend this company.

We appreciated the ecologically responsible, ethical care taken to traverse the area and share his knowledge of the history and current conditions of the Everglades. We brought for teens with us and we all could have stayed out for a few more hours exploring with Joe. When I first started searching for an airboat tour I was turned off by all of the touristy, gimmicky outfits. I didn't want to witness caged animals or an alligator be passed around but rather appreciate the natural habitat. River of Grass is exactly what an airboat tour of the Everglades should be. 💯❤️

3/20/24 9:15 AM tour with Capt. Willy 5/5 I highly recommend these guys Easy to find/ drive to. We came up from Florida City while visiting the Keys and it was only about 45 min drive. Willy was awesome! Very knowledgeable and respectful of the area, plus put us on 4 or 5 gators with lots of birds. Equipment ran great-no issues. Will definitely do this again.

Captain Willy was amazing. We not only got to see alligators up close we got to see the amazing relationships he had developed with the local birds. They flew along side us and rode on the boat with us. He was so knowledgeable and made sure my kids were fully engaged and happy. Would absolutely recommend.

We did a semi private tour and it was excellent. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and entertaining. The boat ride was releasing yet informative and fun. It was great to see all the animals. Highly recommend!

We did the semi-private 90 minute airboat tour! Willy was our tour guide & he was fabulous from the moment he said hello to the moment our adventure ended! We saw approximately 5 alligators, numerous birds and explored the fascinating sites of the Everglades!! Highly recommend if you are looking for a new experience!

Captain Willy was fantastic! We saw a lot of alligators and birds up close, as well as the lily pads and flowers. We were even able to feed a couple of birds! He also showed us how to get a gauze like material out of one of a reed-like vegetation in the river. He was also very considerate and spoke slowly to help the English-challenged members of our group. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful experience ! The all family really enjoyed it ! What a thrill going at a great speed over that beautiful River of Grass ! Something once should do at least once in his lifetime. Our family of five had a fantastic time on our first airboat tour through the Florida Everglades. Hoping it will not be our last with this particular company. I absolutely see why they have countless five star reviews. From the moment I texted and talked with Becky on the phone to set up our reservation, to being on the water with Captain Joe. This is a top-notch family business. They clearly care about their customers. We saw lots of wildlife, including birds, turtles, and, of course, probably five or six alligators. The only thing I was bummed about was not having booked a longer ride. We chose the one and a half hour private tour. Joe was charming and incredibly knowledgeable about the ecosystem of the Everglades. You can tell he truly loves his job. I can’t recommend enough! Additionally, we were each given headsets to diminish the noise of the fan. And free bottles of water were also a nice touch. If you are on the fence about what tour company to go with, stop looking and book with River of Grass Everglades Airboats! You won’t regret it!

Captain Mike was awesome! Very professional and informative. I wouldn’t even consider going elsewhere. If you’re looking to do an Airboat ride in the Miami area, this is a must do!!
