Javier made our tour of old Quito fascinating, fun, & personalized. He is very knowledgeable and shared interesting details with us. He also took us to a local coffee shop for a beautiful coffee to get us started right! A+++ highly recommend

Diego was an amazing guide. He taught us so much about how the Spanish forced the indigenous to become catholic. He showed us many spectacular views of the city, churches and old down town.

Good tour, however our guide was 45 minutes late in arrival. As a result, we were quite rushed at certain points. The Panecillo was great but she tried to skip the entry which provided the overlook. The cost was just $1 per person. We insisted to visit the museum and overlook which was very worth it. Traffic was horrible and we spent almost two hours sitting in traffic and looking for parking. One wonders if she had been on time if this experience had been better. We saw the outside of San Francisco but no time to go inside. We visited the Golden Church and visited the inside which was 100% worth it — educational. Guide bought some lychee ($1 for a bag) which we enjoyed for a sweet snack. More traffic. The other market stops were nice — lady at ice cream tried to cheat us out of change but guide resisted and defended. We loved the chocolate tasting! Truly educational. Finished one hour early, so in total the trip was two hours less than expected. Disappointing because, combined with the traffic, we could have seen and enjoyed so much more. Would not book again.

I accidentally booked the tour for the wrong day, but one phone call snd they got us all taken care of! Our guide was exceptional and we had a wonderful time!

Diego was a great guide. He provided a great deal of information about the sites visited as well as the city itself. The pace was ideal as one of us was having difficulty breathing. The chocolate factory was a great ending.

Our guide, Fabian, met us at the scheduled time and location, had a good driver, Dante, with him, and escorted us around the city by car and walking. Fabian is friendly, communicates well, and had an in-depth knowledge of the architecture and religious art works which we viewed.

Dante and Alex let our family of 12 on a wonderful “4 hour” tour of Quito city! We could not have asked for more. They were both knowledgeable of the sites and history of Quito and had much patience answering questions from all of us. The churches were beautiful, the Chocolate tasting was wonderful, and the lunch they recommended was perfect. We all agree that this tour receives 5 stars. Thank you, Dante and Alex.

My first time in Ecuador and booked two tours with Latin Adventures—city tour and that went so well I also booked the Quilotoa crater trip. Both tour guides, Alex and Fabian, were great to travel with—very informative, responsive to my interests and enjoyable to travel with. The owner Dante was very accommodating with shifting travel plans. It was a great experience and I’d highly recommend this company.

Great day with Carlos. Four of us on a private tour. Hit all the highlights and had a great meal. Carlos was a great guide fluent in English and Spanish. Highly recommended.

Our guide, Oscar, was very knowledgable about old town Quito, the city and country’s history, the surrounding volcanoes and was helpful recommending someplace to eat lunch afterward (this tour did not include food stops). He also speaks Russian, for anyone needing that language. He drove us from our pickup place to the Virgin statue, then to Old Town, then we walked from that point on. Oscar asked if we like to walk so I assume that means he would’ve driven us within Old Town if that was our preference. I prefer walking. Wear sturdy walking shoes and be prepared for large hills. Also, climbing the towers of the newest basilica is a cool experience but involves two somewhat forbidding set of narrow steep metal staircases, not for anyone fearful of heights (this climb totally optional). The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because of confusion over pickup time — the TripAdvisor page first said tour starts 9 am, my confirmation said meet at 8:30, we arrived at pickup point at 8:30 but Oscar arrived at 9. During the half hour wait I had no way to connect w TripAdvisor in real time to confirm that we were still on. Also, some churches we visited required a small entrance fee (in addition to the tour cost), which I paid, and at another Oscar paid it. Please mention in this tour listing which additional fees are needed. They were very inexpensive but it was confusing. Otherwise, thanks for an interesting and helpful tour!

Excellent Tour - Recommended the best to see in Quito in a half day. Informative and a nice friendly guide. Made us feel welcome and relaxed. Recommended a good restaurant.

This was fabulous! My tour guide was very informative and helpful. He took me all over and even let me go back to buy some things. He helped me make a connection to see a concert later that evening as well. Got a real education on chocolate and bought a Panama hat I'll probably never wear, but still very cool!

This was our first visit to South America. We stopped in Quito on our way to the Galapagos Islands. We had a lovely tour with Anna Marie! She was thorough, answered all of our questions and gave us excellent recommendations for dining.

Although of course short at half a day, this was an excellent tour. Our guide, Gabriel, was both enthusiastic and very knowledgeable. He made it a very enjoyable and worthwhile time.

what a tour a church with the inside full of gold never seen that before i would really like to visit that church again.
