A wonderful tour to Ohrid. Our guide, Endri, guides us along the way to the fortress, visiting the lake and the churches, and ending in the old town of Ohrid. He showed us a scenic restaurant to eat lunch with a view of the lake. The tour almost got cancelled because no one else was joining, but Go as Local made a huge effort, and finally the tour proceed as scheduled with just two people on board. Kudos to them!!

Highly recommend and great way to see the country. Very friendly guide and took us to a good food place. The day was very well planned.

Views from the fort and church in Ohrid are stunning. Lovely feeling in the old town with lots of places to eat and drink. My tour guide for the second day running was Xhulio, who once again was excellent with tips, history of the area and insights into life in the Balkans. We popped into Struga on the way back which was lovely and stopped on the way to Tirana for some traditional biscuits. A great trip once again!

We had a great trip with Engjell! We called “Go as Local” the night before our tour and messaged on Whatsapp just to confirm our pickup location and time. Engjell was on time, knowledgeable, and very helpful. We stopped for coffee on the way and he took us to a great restaurant for lunch! Overall it was a great trip and we would book again with this company in the future. I do recommend bringing cash to Ohrid if you can as a lot of shops did not accept card.

This was an excellent tour which began by being collected from our hotel on time. The guide was knowledgeable, friendly, polite, considerate and thoroughly professional. The itinerary was well planned, well timed and completely met our needs and interests. Highly recommended.

This was another wonderful day. Engjell was my guide and he was knowledgeable and delightful. It was a long ride, but he kept it interesting with his knowledge of history. And current events in Albania. The lake, of course, is beautiful. Highly recommended!

A awesome experience! The guide, Daniel, told me a lot of information about Macedonia and Albania. He knows a lot of thing about the history and the territory of Macedonia and the trip it’s been amazing! Ohrid it’s a very good place, the lake seems like the sea and and the view from the church in front of the lake was awesome. I really advise this experience!

Stunningly beautiful city tucked into the mountain by the lake. The views are breathtaking. Our guide Xhulio showed us around and we got to take some pictqerques photos. This is a worth day trip from Tirana, Albania.

I went on 2 tours with Go as Local in Oct 2023. One Day Tour of Ohrid was so much fun (just myself and one other with the guide). I was lucky enough to have Engjell as my guide. What a phenomenal young man. He was well spoken, great English, intelligent and new everything about the locations we went to on the tours. One thing that struck me was his absolute pride in his country and the beautiful places it has to offer. Ohrid is a beautiful city and having the ability to go there for a day while visiting Albania was a real treat. The only downfall was the border crossing, there was a long line to cross and it threw the timeline for the day just a bit, but Engjell adjusted and extended the end of the tour time so we wouldn’t miss out on any sights. Highly suggest this tour and tour guide. Prior to my arrival in Albania, I communicated with Andi several times to coordinate tours. He was responsive, professional and very helpful. I absolutely recommend using this company for any and all tours planned in Albania and surrounding countries. If I could give 10 stars to Engjell, I would…outstanding guide and tours!!

I took this your on Sunday 10/7, it was a long ride but our young tour guide Angel made it so much fun and easier. He was very friendly and helpful and scenery was amazing. This is a great trip and I highly recommend it. Katherine

A long car-drive to get to Ohrid, but thanks to a very informative driver (Julio/xhulio) we got a lot of information during the ride. His English was also excellent. Smooth border crossings. Nice restaurant for lunch in Ohrid.

Day trip to Strega and Ohrid lake was so much fun. Redi, the guide explained history in detail. He picked me up from my hotel on time. It was fun talking with Redi while he was driving to both places. I recommend this tour for nature lovers and to them who is interested to know about the history of Strega. Redi is awesome to have as guide.

Ohrid was absolutely amazing. The city is gorgeous. It's almost like walking on a dream! M Our tour guide (Redi) picked me up at my address (loved not having to commute), and was super responsive to the needs of the group. I can't recommend it enough!
