This tour was fantastic. It involves quite a difficult trek up the Lying Dragon Mountain. It is quite steep and we did it in 40 degree heat which made it quite a tough climb. You could opt out if you wanted to because the area below was also fascinating. Then we had a bike ride through rice paddies and finished up at a local’s farm house and had tea and a sweet treat. Lunch was very tasty in a local restaurant. A boat paddle down the Tan Cox River was next, which took 1 1/2 hours through brilliant scenery and river caves. Finished off with a tour of the king’s palace/ temple. Our tour leader was exceptional, so knowledgeable about Vietnam, very friendly and entertaining. We learnt a lot, had great fun and saw a beautiful part of Vietnam. Thanks Felix for a wonderful day.

This was the highlight of our Vietnam trip. Hanh was our guide for the day, and if you can request her, I would recommend it as she is FANTASTIC! The day was perfect and as outlined. I looked at all the tours and went with this option; it was the right choice for a private tour.

Hung was an amazing tour guide who was knowledgeable and very patient. We enjoyed a nice laid back tour, notably our best tour during the trip. The experience was very rememberable, we were taken care of like family members and give every opportunity to enjoy the trip. Hiking was great! Views were amazing! Bike riding was fun! The food was excellent! The paddle boat was perfect! Don’t hesitate and ask for Hung!

We are a thirties couple, that do a daily tour from Hà Noi to Ninh Bình, we see the ancient capital of Vietnam (Hoa Lu) and after a quickly climbing of mountain near Mua Cave. After some activities by cycle, we take a lunch and finally a boat-trip. Our guide is Hung, he s full of smile and tell to us the great information of his land and the place that we see. Excellent day out. We had Vincent as a local guide, nothing was too much trouble. He was like Ray Mears, telling us about all the plants. The section to the last lake was a bit scary for me, especially coming down, but you don’t have to do that bit. Lunch was great in Nha Trang. Ask for Vincent if you book this

We had an amazing day with our guide Hung who tailored our tour to meet all of our individual desires. The weather was chilly and raining, but that didn’t dampen our spirits. We did the climb at Ninh Binh, had tea and sweets in a private home, and ate a delicious lunch at a local restaurant. We opted not to take the boat trip because of the cold wet weather so Hung suggested that we go to the Buddhist Temple as an alternative. It was beautiful. Hung was kind, considerate, friendly, and knowledgeable. He helped us to appreciate and understand Vietnamese history and culture. We cannot recommend a day with Hung more highly.

The best tour we have been in Vietnam. We definitely recommend it. Our tour guide was very professional and nice. He explained us the itinerary and made sure everyone was happy. The tour was amazing! Hung was our guide and his was very friendly and caring. He also shared some very interesting stories and history of the location. One unique thing about Hung was that he took most of the photos and then sent them to us later. This really helped the trip be more care and worry free!

Our first private tour experience and it was pretty good. We had a private car pick us up from the Old Quarter. Journey to Ninh Binh was about 2 hours and our guide Bang Bang had lots of interesting stuff to share about the history of Hanoi and Ninh Binh. Pace was pretty good, we did all the main attractions—Ngoa Long Mountain (beware it's really dangerous if you go up to the dragon section which lots of guides don't warn you about), walking through lotus fields, Tam Coc boat ride and a bit of cycling at the end. Lunch was at a random family restaurant (which had a lot of other tour groups), pretty ok but sure there's better food in the area.

The trip was amazing. Phong was a great tour guide and he was very knowledgeable about the area. The bike tour was my favorite.

Highly recommend this tour for an unforgettable day in Ninh Binh with family/friends! Vuong (Alex) picked our group of 4 up in the morning in a private luxury limousine coach and was the perfect guide and companion for the day. The biking treck was a highlight - private, minimal other tourists, and an excellent way to experience the beautiful landscape and culture. Lunch was delicious. The river tour of the caves was very impressive. Highly recommend for a great day trip during your stay in Hanoi.

The best part of the tour was that it was quite private with only 8 people and we did not find it rushed as the other group tours. My husband and I were part of a small group tour to Southeast Asia and Vietnam was the final country to visit. Ninh Binh was not part of the tour itinerary and I really wanted to see this beautiful place. There were many tour options to choose from, but I ultimately decided on this private tour. It was more expensive than other tours but the quality of service (private car, driver, private guide, customizable timeline/itinerary, efficiency, lunch, and so much more) was worth the extra expense. We were picked up early from our hotel to avoid traffic and crowds. Our tour guide Phong made the 2 hour drive from Hanoi to Ninh Binh pass quickly with his knowledge and narrative of the area. Phong guided us up the mountain steps, allowing us to set the pace. The climb was rewarded with truly breathtaking views. He took many photos of us rather than me using my selfie stick, so we basically had a personal photographer too! We had plenty of time to enjoy the views which was nice because we weren’t in a rush and there wasn’t a set schedule. Next was the cycling part of the adventure (optional depending on our comfort level and ability to ride a bike). We tested out the bikes before setting off with Phong leading the way. The roads were smooth and only a short distance on the main road (not much traffic) before we ended up on local trails, very picturesque. Phong took pictures on the bikes too! We biked to a farm house where we had tea and a snack, saw local life, chatted with the owner and his mother- very interesting. Lunch at a nice local restaurant was very good and again at our pace. The company reached out to me before the tour to inquire about food allergies and preferences which was very thoughtful. We didn’t want to spend too much time at lunch so we could have more time exploring. Boating down the Tam Coc River was really lovely. It was amazing to see how our boat driver paddled using his feet! Traveling down the river and through the caves was such a delight with contrast of light and dark through the caves and the beautiful water lilies and mountainous landscape in the background. My husband and I had to be back in Hanoi before 6:30pm to meet our tour group for dinner. Considering everything that we did- the mountain climb, biking, farm home visit, lunch, river boat ride, the travel time to and from, and Hanoi traffic- our driver and Phong were able to get us back on time. We never felt rushed, the day was efficient, and most importantly- we really had a wonderful time! Overall, I would highly recommend this tour if you want a more personalized experience.
