Absolutely amazing. Not for the faint hearted. We just did this mid Feb 2024 and it is a very strenuous walk. If you don't mind that, you will love it, it's worth every aching muscle and bone. The team was amazing the bedouin guide was very kind and knowledgeable. The private tour has its perks we had the best place on the mountain for sunrise. You will be taken like a vip. Our guide carried my bag up which was a great help! Thank you all we had a fabulous time. The views are worth everything!!

An absolutely incredible trip. Mahmood and our local guide Eid were so kind and knowledgeable. Everything was perfect. Pick up was timely, car was very clean and comfortable, hike was difficult but our local guide looked after us so well and we loved learning all about the monastery with Mahmood. Private was definitely better than the larger groups as we could move at our own pace. Highly recommend!

The walk up Mt. Sinai was interesting and strenuous. The views at the top were stunning. St. Catherine Monastery was interesting and worth a visit. Paulo, the guide, was professional and friendly. He was organized and was concerned with my enjoyment of the tour. Doing a private tour enabled me to have my own Bedouin guide on the climb and a personal car for the trip.

Had the opportunity to visit Sharm El Sheik and had an extra day and decided to contact this tour experience. They were able to accommodate almost last minute. They told me that my trip day the monastery was going to be closed. I still went with the tour. Mahmoud was our tour guide and he was excellent, well versed in the knowledge and attentive to details. The driver was excellent and experienced. They were able to pick us from our AirBnb in Hadaba.

This was a wonderful experience. I had a private tour where a guide & driver picked me up at 10p and we drove to the Sinai parking lot arriving at about 1a. From there, you will get a local guide who will hike with you the mountain personally. Eid was awesome. He hiked at your speed and once at the top arranged how to get a blanket and mattress pad if you so desired. He helped take pictures and was all at your disposal. Outside of the actual hike, you'll spend the rest of the time with guide/driver and he gives you a great tour of the monestary and they do a good job taking care of you at all the police checkpoints. Expect at least 5 each way. It was a great experience and worth the price for all you get from it.

Great exerience, but guide was two hours late for pickup, so we had tough time getting to summit...thank goodness for Bedouins n camels but operator no help for cost. I initiated call for scheduling with operator. A good briefing but our hike guide was a teenager, who spoke no English! Bottom line, check your operator for a geat experience.

The guide and driver did not show up even though I have a booking and confirmation number. Waited until 11:30pm outside.

The hike was amazing, and we had the best Bedouin guide ever, Salem. He was encouraging and patient as we made the climb, and offered an arm of support on the steep parts! The journey to the top was well worth it, an experience I will. Ever forget!! The Monastery was amazing as well, to actually stand under the burning bush….amazing! Highly recommend!

This trip was amazing! The trek up the mountain I would say is moderate in difficulty but worth every bit of it! This trip is a definite Must do!

What an amazing experience it was to make it to the top of the mountain in time to watch the sun rise. It was one of the highlights from my trip to Egypt!

This trip was awe inspiring. The pick up was at 9 pm at our hotel and we traveled by private car ( taxi) to St Catherine's and then on to the base of Mt Sinai. We there meet our local bedouin guide to take us up the mountain. My wife and I started the walk up but eventually realized it was more than we could do in a reasonable amount of time so opted to take camels up the trail. They were reasonable I felt at 50 dollars USD and we were up at the head of the trail in an hour and a half. The last 750 steps to the top are a hard climb in the dark with slippery uneven steps and thin air at that altitude. You must be fit to do the climb. In our mid 60's my wife and I made it about half way but turned back. The sun rise from the base was just as awesome and beautiful as from the top even if we saw it about 2 to 3 seconds latter. Nothing should stop you from making this trip though. It was wonderful and worth every effort. After sunrise we walked back down to the monastery, about 2 hours, and met up with our guide again to continue the tour. We spent about 45 minutes in the monastery seeing the chapel, the burning bush, and Mosses' well. The greatest thing I took away from this tour is the ability of Christian's Jew's and Muslim's can all come to this same holy ground and pray side by side in peace. It gives me hope for all the childern of God to live in peace. This is a must do experience and tripster did a wonderful job

Had a lovely time with visiting Mt Sinai and St Catherine monastery. Got picked up right on time by excellent and very friendly tour guide Ahmed Kayed. Drove for a couple of hours to St Catherine, where we were met by our own mountain guide for the night, Mahmoud, who was excellent company. Knowledgeable about local history and conditions, and very supportive. The hike up the mountain started at about 01 o'clock. We were among the earlier groups to start during the night, so we had a quiet and mostly lonely hike up, which suited us perfectly. Torchlights were provided, but we trusted mostly on the moon and stars to light our path, which was plenty enough most of the way. Slept for an hour and a half in one of the huts just below the top, before ascending the last part to watch the sun rise at 05:50. Magical views. Hike down was quick and easy during day light, although a bit more crowded, especially at the 750 step stone stairs down from the very top of the mountain. Had breakfast at the feet of the mountain outside the monastery, and ended the trip with a brief tour of the monastery, guided by mr Kayed. There is a small entrance fee to visit the exhibition of Icons and old scrolls, but it is totally worth it. Some very impressive pieces in there. Carved wooden doors into the hall of the church are preserved from the 7th century. Very cool! The trip will give you both wonderful nature and scenery, as well as a connection with the wings of history which is very much present.

We booked this trip at very short notice. The team keep us informed of what we needed to take with us and pick up times and arrived promptly at our hotel in Sharm El Sheik at 9:15 pm. The drive took around 2.5 hours, but would have taken far longer if it wasn’t for our driver’s rapport with the guards at the check points throughout the journey. We arrived at the car park at the base of Mount Sinai and after some good natured selling attempts by the local merchants we ended up buying torches for 1 USD each. Although we were walking during a full moon it was still useful at times. We were introduced to our local guide, Ahmed, who was taking us to the summit. The walk is on mixed path from concrete, to sandy and finally rock. Trainers were fine to wear (some people do this walk in sandals and one group did it in heels apparently). We went on a Tuesday night and it was quiet which made far an enjoyable walk sometimes watching the stars in silence. We got out of breath in places, but Ahmed ensured there were plenty of rest stops. After about 2.5 hours of waking we reached the top and had sometime to wait for sunrise. We did the climb in June and it was about 15 centigrade, so take something warm to wear. Sunrise was a special experience. Thankfully it was relatively quite at the summit - I could imagine your experience could be spoiled if it was really busy. We were leaving Egypt that day, so skipped the St Catherine tour and headed back. All in all, a very well organised unique experience hosted by friendly, knowledgeable people.

I went to this 8 hour night hike with my wife and it was stunning. Ahmed the guide and the driver picked us up from our hotel and took us to the base of mt. Sinai. A Bedouin village guide took us to the summit in about 4 hours stopping in between as required. The view from the top is breathtaking during sunrise. The Bedouin guide was skilled in taking photos and took great pictures of us. We came back down to the monastery at 8:40am as planned. The monastery opened at 9am and we headed back to the hotel at 9:30am. We had a flight at 2pm so the driver drove faster to cover 150km in 2 hours. Overall Ahmed took great care of us and I would recommend this tour with tripster.

Shaaban and the Tripster Egypt team put together an amazing experience. Despite the short notice on our booking, they made it happen and got us to Mt. Sinai in time to make the hike to the peak by sunrise. The Beduoin guide they booked for us to bring us up and down the trail was friendly and knowledgable of the lore of the mountain. The hike itself was enjoyable. The path is about 5km, but mostly winds up switchbacks on a slight incline for 80% of the hike, making it pretty tolerable for anyone in reasonably good health/fitness. The one hard thing is the elevation; you start out around 1000m and keep going up to the 2300m peak. The air gets a little thin and you may find yourself having to stop to catch your breath even though the hike itself isn’t that strenuous. The 750 stairs at the final ascent are not that hard, but make sure to turn around for the excellent view halfway up the stairs, it has some of the best photo opportunities on the peak IMHO! They may warn you it gets cold at the peak; we went in June and it was no worse than a cool summer’s night in the Midwest, we were in jeans and short sleeves the whole time. And don’t worry, if you do get a little chilled there are some Beduoins who will sell you $2 coffee at the peak! The view from the top of Mt. Sinai is unforgettable, as is the experience itself. It may be a hassle to lose a night’s sleep for a hike, but it’s worth it. This hike was probably the highlight of my entire time in the Sinai peninsula region, I would highly recommend it. Booking with Tripster Egypt will be one way to make sure you get the most from this hike, so be sure to check them out! They are extremely flexible, and were the only tour company able to accommodate us for the short window of opportunity we had to do this hike. If you want to get up Mt. Sinai, they'll help you to make it happen.
